1 Sa’ad da Rehobowam ya iso Urushalima, ya tattara mayaƙa dubu ɗari takwas daga gidan Yahuda da Benyamin, don su yi yaƙi da Isra’ila su sāke mai da mulki wa Rehobowam.
And when Rehoboam had come to Jerusalem, he gathered of the house of Judah and Benjamin a hundred and eighty thousand chosen [men] who were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.
2 Amma wannan maganar Ubangiji ta zo ga Shemahiya mutumin Allah.
But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
3 “Faɗa wa Rehobowam ɗan Solomon sarkin Yahuda da kuma dukan Isra’ilawan da suke a Yahuda da Benyamin,
Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,
4 ‘Ga abin da Ubangiji ya ce kada ku haura don ku yi yaƙi da’yan’uwanku. Ku tafi gida kowannenku, gama wannan yi na ne.’” Saboda haka suka yi biyayya ga maganar Ubangiji suka kuma koma daga takawa don yaƙi da Yerobowam.
Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done by me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against Jeroboam.
5 Rehobowam ya zauna a Urushalima ya kuma gina garuruwa don kāriya a cikin Yahuda.
And Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and built cities for defense in Judah.
6 Betlehem, Etam, Tekowa,
He built even Beth-lehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,
7 Bet-Zur, Soko, Adullam,
And Beth-zur, and Shocho, and Adullam,
8 Gat, Maresha, Zif,
And Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,
9 Adorayim, Lakish, Azeka,
And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,
10 Zora, Aiyalon da Hebron. Waɗannan su ne garuruwan katanga a cikin Yahuda da Benyamin.
And Zorah, and Ajalon, and Hebron, which [are] in Judah and in Benjamin, fortified cities.
11 Ya ƙarfafa kāriyarsu ya kuma sa shugabannin mayaƙa a cikinsu, tare da tanadin abinci, man zaitun da kuma ruwan inabi.
And he fortified the strong holds, and put captains in them, and store of provisions, and of oil and wine.
12 Ya sa garkuwoyi da māsu a cikin dukan biranen, ya kuma sa suka zama da ƙarfi. Saboda haka Yahuda da Benyamin suka zama nasa.
And in every several city [he put] shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.
13 Firistoci da Lawiyawa daga dukan yankuna ko’ina a Isra’ila suka haɗa kai da shi.
And the priests and the Levites that [were] in all Israel resorted to him from all their borders.
14 Lawiyawa suka ma bar makiyayansu da mallakarsu, suka zo Yahuda da Urushalima domin Yerobowam da’ya’yansa maza sun ƙi su a matsayin firistocin Ubangiji.
For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest's office to the LORD:
15 Yerobowam ya naɗa firistocinsa domin masujadan kan tudu da kuma domin gumakan nan na akuya da maraƙin da ya yi.
And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.
16 Waɗanda suke daga kowane kabilar Isra’ila waɗanda suka sa zuciya a kan neman Ubangiji, Allah na Isra’ila, suka bi Lawiyawa zuwa Urushalima don su miƙa hadayu ga Ubangiji Allah na kakanninsu.
And after them out of all the tribes of Israel, such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice to the LORD God of their fathers.
17 Suka ƙarfafa mulkin Yahuda suka kuma goyi bayan Rehobowam ɗan Solomon shekaru uku, suna tafiya a hanyoyin Dawuda da Solomon a wannan lokaci.
So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of David and Solomon.
18 Rehobowam ya auri Mahalat,’yar Yerimot ɗan Dawuda wadda Abihayil’yar Eliyab ɗan Yesse ta haifa.
And Rehoboam took to himself Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David for a wife, [and] Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse;
19 Ta haifa masa’ya’ya maza. Yewush, Shemariya da Zaham.
Who bore him children, Jeush, and Shamariah, and Zaham.
20 Sa’an nan ya auri Ma’aka’yar Absalom, wadda ta haifa masa Abiya, Attai, Ziza da kuma Shelomit.
And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; who bore him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.
21 Rehobowam ya ƙaunaci Ma’aka’yar Absalom fiye da sauran matansa da ƙwarƙwaransa. Duka-duka dai ya auri mata goma sha takwas da ƙwarƙwarai sittin, yana da’ya’ya maza ashirin da takwas da’ya’ya mata sittin.
And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and sixty concubines; and begat twenty and eight sons, and sixty daughters.)
22 Rehobowam ya naɗa Abiya ɗan Ma’aka yă zama babba yerima a cikin’yan’uwansa, don dai yă naɗa shi sarki.
And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, [to be] ruler among his brethren: for [he thought] to make him king.
23 Ya yi hikima, ya watsar da waɗansu’ya’yansa a dukan yankunan Yahuda da Benyamin, da kuma a dukan birane masu katanga. Ya ba su tanadi mai yawa ya kuma aurar musu mata masu yawa.
And he dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his children throughout all the countries of Judah and Benjamin, to every fortified city: and he gave them provisions in abundance. And he desired many wives.
