1 ’Ya’yan Ruben maza ɗan farin Isra’ila (shi ne ɗan fari, amma sa’ad da ya ƙazantar da gadon auren mahaifinsa, sai aka ba wa’yancin ɗan farinsa wa’ya’yan Yusuf maza ɗan Isra’ila; don kada a lissafta shi a tarihin zuriya bisa ga matsayin haihuwarsa,
And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, for, he, was the firstborn, but because he defiled the couch of his father, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, —and he is not to be enrolled in the place of firstborn,
2 ko da yake Yahuda shi ne mafi ƙarfi cikin’yan’uwansa kuma mai mulki ya fito daga gare shi,’yancin zaman ɗan fari na Yusuf ne),
for, Judah, prevailed over his brethren, so that, even the prince, is from him, —although, the birthright, pertaineth to Joseph;
3 ’ya’yan Ruben ɗan farin Isra’ila maza su ne, Hanok, Fallu, Hezron da Karmi.
the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
4 Zuriyar Yowel su ne, Shemahiya, Gog, Shimeyi,
The sons of Joel, Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son;
5 Mika, Reyahiya, Ba’al,
Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son;
6 da Beyera, wanda Tiglat-Fileser sarkin Assuriya ya ɗauka zuwa zaman bauta. Beyera shi ne shugaban mutanen Ruben.
Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive, —he, was a leader to the Reubenites;
7 Danginsu bisa ga iyalansu da aka jera bisa ga tarihin zuriyarsu su ne, Yehiyel shi ne sarki, akwai Zakariya,
and his brethren, by his families, in the genealogical registering, by their generations, —the chief Jeiel, and Zechariah;
8 da Bela ɗan Azaz. Azaz ɗan Shema daga dangin Yowel. Yowel ya yi zama a yankin Arower har zuwa Nebo da Ba’al-Meyon.
and Bela, the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, —he, dwelt in Aroer, even as far as Nebo, and Baal-meon;
9 Ta waje gabas sun zauna a ƙasar har zuwa bakin hamadan da ya nausa zuwa Kogin Yuferites, domin dabbobinsu sun ƙaru a Gileyad.
and, eastward, dwelt he as far as the entering in of the desert, from the river Euphrates, —because, their cattle, were multiplied in the land of Gilead;
10 A zamanin Shawulu zuriyar Ruben sun yi yaƙi da Hagirawa, suka ci su da yaƙi, suka zauna a wuraren zaman Hagirawan ko’ina a dukan yankin gabashin Gileyad.
and, in the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand, —so they dwelt in their tents, over all the face of the land east of Gilead.
11 Mutanen Gad sun zauna kusa da mutanen Ruben a Bashan, har zuwa Saleka.
And, the sons of Gad, over against them, dwelt, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:
12 Yowel shi ne babba, sai Shafan na biyu, sa’an nan Yanai da Shafat, su ne tushen Bashan.
Joel the chief, and Shapham, the second, —and Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan;
13 Danginsu, bisa ga iyalai su ne, Mika’ilu, Meshullam, Sheba, Yorai, Yakan, Ziya da Eber, su bakwai ne duka.
and their brethren of their ancestral house, Michael and Meshullam and Sheba and Jorai and Jacan and Zia and Eber, seven.
14 Waɗannan su ne’ya’yan Abihayil ɗan Huri, ɗan Yarowa, ɗan Gileyad, ɗan Mika’ilu, ɗan Yeshishai, ɗan Yado, ɗan Buz.
These, were the sons of Abihail, son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jehishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz,
15 Ahi ɗan Abiyel, ɗan Guni, shi ne kan iyalinsu.
Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, chief of their ancestral house;
16 Mutanen Gad sun zauna a Bashan da ƙauyukan da suke kurkusa da shi, da kuma a dukan makiyayan Sharon har zuwa iyaka inda suka kai.
and they dwelt in Gilead—in Bashan, and in her villages, —and in all the pasture-lands of Sharon, up to their outgoings.
17 Dukan waɗannan sun shiga tarihin zuriya a lokacin mulkin Yotam sarkin Yahuda da Yerobowam sarkin Isra’ila.
All of them, were genealogically registered in the days of Jotham king of Judah, —and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 Mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da rabin kabilar Manasse sun kasance da mutane 44,760 shiryayyu don aikin soja, jarumawan da za su iya riƙe garkuwa da takobi, waɗanda suke iya yin amfani da baka, waɗanda kuma aka horar don yaƙi.
the sons of Reuben and Gad, and half tribe of Manasseh, of the sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword and bending the bow, and instructed in war, were forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, ready to go forth in the host.
19 Suka yi yaƙi da Hagirawa, Yetur, Nafish da Nodab.
So they made war with the Hagrites, —and Jetur and Naphish, and Nodab;
20 Aka taimake su a yaƙin, Allah kuma ya ba da Hagirawa da dukan abokansu gare su, domin sun yi kuka gare shi a lokacin yaƙin. Ya amsa addu’o’insu, domin sun dogara gare shi.
and were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all that were with them were delivered into their hand, —for, unto God, made they outcry, in the war, and he suffered himself to be entreated by them, because they put their trust in him;
21 Suka ƙwace dabbobin Hagirawa, raƙuma dubu hamsin, tumaki dubu ɗari biyu da hamsin da kuma jakuna dubu biyu. Suka kuma kame mutane dubu ɗari ɗaya,
and they captured their cattle—their camels, fifty thousand, and, flocks, two hundred and fifty thousand, and, asses, two thousand, —and, persons of men, a hundred thousand;
22 waɗansu suka mutu, domin yaƙin na Allah ne. Suka zauna a ƙasar har lokacin da aka kai su zaman bauta.
for, many slain, fell, for, of God, was the war, —and they dwelt in their stead, until the captivity.
23 Mutanen rabin kabilar Manasse sun yi yawa; suka zauna a ƙasar daga Bashan har zuwa Ba’al-Hermon, wato, zuwa Senir (Dutsen Hermon).
And, the sons of the half tribe of Manasseh, dwelt in the land, —from Bashan, as far as to Baal-hermon and Senir and Mount Hermon, they, were multiplied.
24 Waɗannan su ne kawunan iyalansu. Efer, Ishi, Eliyel, Azriyel, Irmiya, Hodawiya da Yadiyel. Su jarumawa ne, sanannu, su ne kuma kawunan iyalansu.
And, these, were the heads of their ancestral house, —Epher and Ishi and Eliel and Azriel and Jeremiah and Hodaviah and Jahdiel, men who were heroes of valour, men of renown, chiefs to their ancestral house.
25 Amma ba su yi aminci da Allahn kakanninsu ba, suka kuma yi karuwanci ga waɗansu allolin mutanen ƙasar, waɗanda Allah ya hallaka a gabansu.
But they dealt unfaithfully with the God of their fathers, —and went unchastely after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God destroyed from before them;
26 Saboda haka Allah na Isra’ila ya zuga ruhun Ful sarkin Assuriya (wato, Tiglat-Fileser sarkin Assuriya), wanda ya kwashe mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da rabin kabilar Manasse zuwa zaman bauta. Ya kwashe su zuwa Hala, Habor, Hara da kuma kogin Gozan, inda suke har wa yau.
so the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he took them away captive, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, —and brought them in unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
