< Zakari 3 >

1 Konsa, li te montre mwen Josué, wo prèt ki te kanpe devan zanj SENYÈ a, ak Satan ki te kanpe sou men dwat li pou akize li.
Then [Yahweh] showed me Joshua, the Supreme Priest, [who was] standing in front of the angel that Yahweh had sent. And Satan was standing at Joshua’s right side, [ready] to accuse him.
2 SENYÈ a te di a Satan: “SENYÈ a repwoche ou, Satan! Anverite, SENYÈ ki te chwazi Jérusalem nan va repwoche ou! Èske sa se pa yon bout bwa cho ki retire soti nan dife?”
But Yahweh said to Satan, “Satan, I am rebuking you! I [am the one] who has chosen Jerusalem [to be my special city, and I] am rebuking you! This [man, Joshua], [has been brought back from Babylonia]; he is surely [like] [MET, RHQ] a burning stick that has been snatched from a fire.”
3 Alò, Josué te abiye ak rad sal, e te kanpe devan zanj lan.
Joshua was wearing filthy clothes while he was standing in front of the angel.
4 Li te pale, e te di a sila ki te kanpe devan l yo: “Retire rad sal yo sou li.” A li menm Li te di, “Gade byen, Mwen te retire inikite sou ou, e Mwen va abiye ou ak vètman byen chè.”
The angel said to those [other angels] who were standing in front of him, “Take off his filthy clothes!” [After they did that, ] the angel said to Joshua, “Look! I have taken away [the guilt of] your sins, and I will put beautiful clothes on you.”
5 Mwen te di: “Kite yo mete yon tiban pwòp sou tèt li.” Konsa, yo te mete yon tiban pwòp sou tèt li, e yo te abiye li. Zanj SENYÈ a te kanpe sou kote.
Then I said to them, “Put a clean turban on his head!” So they put a clean turban on his head and put [new] on him, while the angel sent by Yahweh was standing there.
6 Zanj SENYÈ a ak vwa solanèl te asire Josué. Li te di:
Then the angel said [this] to Joshua:
7 “Konsa pale SENYÈ dèzame yo: ‘Si ou va mache nan chemen Mwen yo, si ou va fè sèvis Mwen, alò, ou va osi gouvène lakay Mwen an. Ou va osi gadyen lakou Mwen an, e ou va gen lib aksè pami tout sila ki kanpe la yo.
“The Commander of the armies of angels says that if you do what I want you to do [IDM], and obey my instructions, you will (be in charge of/have authority over) [what is done in] my temple and its courtyard. And I will allow you to speak at any time to the angels who are standing near to me.
8 Alò koute, Josué, wo prèt la, ou menm ak zanmi ki chita devan ou yo—anverite, yo se moun ki sèvi kon yon sign. Paske gade byen, Mwen va fè parèt sèvitè Mwen an Scion an.
Joshua, [you are] the Supreme Priest, and your (associates/fellow priests) are sitting in front of you. They symbolize/represent things that will happen in the future. [Some day] I am going to bring someone who will work for me, someone who will be called the Branch.
9 Paske gade byen, wòch ke Mwen te plase devan Josué a; sou yon sèl wòch, gen sèt zye. Gade byen, men mo a, Mwen va fè grave sou li,’ deklare SENYÈ dèzame yo. ‘Epi Mwen va retire inikite a peyi sa a nan yon sèl jou.
Look at the stone that I have put in front of Joshua. There are seven sides on the stone. I will engrave a message on that stone, and in one day I will remove the guilt of [all the people of] this country.
10 Nan jou sa a,’ deklare SENYÈ dèzame yo: ‘nou chak va envite vwazen nou yo pou vin chita anba pye rezen an ak anba pye fig pa nou.’”
At that time, each of you will invite his friends [to come and sit] under his grapevine and under his fig tree. [That is what] the Commander of the armies of angels declares.”
