< Sòm 9 >
1 Pou direktè koral la; Yon sòm David Mwen va bay remèsiman a SENYÈ a ak tout kè m; Mwen va pale tout mèvèy Ou yo.
“To the chief musician upon Muthlabben, a psalm of David.” I will thank the Lord with all my heart: I will relate all thy marvelous deeds.
2 Mwen va fè kè kontan e rejwi nan Ou; Mwen va chante lwanj non Ou, O Pi Wo a.
I will rejoice and exult in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High:
3 Lè lènmi m yo vire fè bak, yo tonbe e peri devan Ou.
When my enemies are turned backward, [when] they fall and perish at thy presence.
4 Paske Ou te bay soutyen a dwa m, avèk koz mwen ki jis; Ou chita sou twòn Ou e fè jijman avèk ladwati.
For thou hast conducted my dispute and my cause; thou hast sat on the throne as a righteous judge.
5 Ou te fè chatiman nasyon yo; Ou te detwi mechan yo; Ou te efase non yo jis pou tout tan e pou tout tan.
Thou hast rebuked nations, thou hast caused the wicked to perish, their name hast thou blotted out for ever and ever.
6 Lènmi an te rive a nan fen, e li te kraze nèt. Ou te dechouke vil yo, jiskaske memwa a yo vin disparèt.
O thou enemy, the ruins are passed away for ever, and the cities which thou hast destroyed, —lost is their memorial, yea, theirs.
7 Men SENYÈ a la jis pou tout tan; Li te etabli twòn Li pou jijman.
But the Lord will sit enthroned for ever: he hath established for giving judgment his throne.
8 Li va jije mond lan avèk ladwati; Li va rann jijman pou pèp yo avèk jistis.
And he will judge the world with righteousness, he shall decide for the people, with equity.
9 SENYÈ a va osi yon sitadèl pou (sila) ki oprime yo; yon sitadèl nan tan twoub la.
The Lord also will be a strong-hold for the oppressed, a strong-hold in times of distress.
10 (Sila) ki konnen non Ou yo, va mete konfyans yo nan Ou, paske Ou menm, SENYÈ, pa janm abandone (sila) ki mete konfyans nan Ou yo.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou hast not forsaken those that seek thee, O Lord.
11 Chante lwanj a SENYÈ a, ki rete nan Sion; deklare pami pèp yo zèv Li yo.
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwelleth in Zion: announce among the people his deeds.
12 Paske (Sila) ki egzije san an sonje yo; Li pa janm bliye kri a (sila) ki oprime yo.
For he, that inquireth after acts of blood, hath remembered them: he hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
13 Fè m gras, O SENYÈ; gade byen soufrans mwen akoz (sila) ki rayi mwen yo, e fè m leve soti nan pòtay lanmò yo,
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; have regard to my affliction [coming] from those that hate me, thou who liftest me up from the gates of death:
14 pou m kab pale tout lwanj a Ou menm. Konsa, nan pòtay a fi Sion yo, mwen kapab rejwi nan delivrans Ou.
In order that I may relate all thy praises in the gates of the daughters of Zion: I will be glad in thy salvation.
15 Nasyon yo fin fonse kole nan twou fòs yo te fè a; nan pèlen yo te fè, pwòp pye yo vin kole ladann.
Sunk are nations in the ditch that they have prepared: in this net which they had laid in secret is their own foot caught.
16 Senyè a te leve tèt Li pou yo wè; Li te rann jijman an. Nan zèv a pwòp men Li, mechan an kole nan pwòp pèlen li. Tan
The Lord is made known: he executed justice: through the doing of his own hands is the wicked ensnared. Higgayon, (Selah)
17 Mechan yo va retounen nan sejou lanmò a; menm tout nasyon ki bliye Bondye yo. (Sheol )
The wicked shall return into hell, all the nations that are forgetful of God. (Sheol )
18 Paske malere yo p ap bliye jis pou tout tan, ni espwa a aflije yo p ap peri pou tout tan.
For not everlastingly shall the needy be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19 Leve, O SENYÈ, pa kite lòm vin genyen; kite nasyon yo jije devan Ou.
Arise, O Lord; let not the mortal boast of his strength; let nations be judged before thy face.
20 Bay yo lakrent, O SENYÈ; fè nasyon yo konnen ke se sèlman lòm yo ye. Tan
Place, O Lord, fear over them: let nations know, that they are but mortals. (Selah)
