< Sòm 83 >
1 Yon Chan. Yon Sòm Asaph O Bondye, pa rete an silans. Pa fè silans, O Bondye. Pa rete trankil.
A Song, a Melody of Asaph. O God, Do not keep quiet, Do not hold thy peace, Neither be thou still, O GOD!
2 Paske gade byen, lènmi Ou yo ap fè zen. (Sila) ki rayi Ou yo leve tèt yo byen wo.
For lo! thine enemies, are tumultuous, And, they who hate thee, have lifted up the head;
3 Yo fè plan malen kont pèp Ou a. Yo fè konplo ansanm kont (sila) ki se trezò Ou.
Against thy people, they craftily devise a secret plot, And conspire against thy treasured ones.
4 Yo te di: “Vini, annou disparèt yo nèt kon nasyon, pou non Israël la pa sonje ankò menm.”
They have said—Come, and let us wipe them out from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.
5 Paske yo te fè konplo ansanm ak yon sèl panse. Kont Ou menm, yo fè yon akò.
For they have taken counsel with one heart, Against thee—a covenant, would they solemnize—
6 Tant a Édom avèk Izmayelit yo, Moab ak Agarenyen yo,
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagarenes;
7 Guebal, Ammon, Amalek, Filisten yo avèk pèp Tyr yo;
Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek, The Philistines, with the dwellers in Tyre;
8 Anplis, Asiryen yo te vin jwenn ansanm avèk yo, yo te prete lamen a pitit a Lot yo. Tan
Even Assyria hath joined herself with them, They have become an arm to the sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Aji avèk yo tankou Madian, tankou avèk Sisera ak Jabin nan ravin Kison an!
Make them like Midian, like Sisera, like Jabin, by the torrent of Kishon;
10 Ki te fin detwi nan En-Dor, ki te vin tankou fimye sou latè.
They perished at En-dor, They become manure for the soil!
11 Fè tout chèf yo tankou Oreb avèk Zeeb e tout prens yo tankou Zébach avèk Tsalmunna,
Make them—their nobles—like Oreb and like Zeeb, And, like Zebah and like Zalmunna, all their princes:
12 Ki te di: “Annou vin posede patiraj Bondye yo pou kont nou.”
Who said—Let us take a possession for ourselves, The pastures of God!
13 O Bondye mwen, fè yo tankou pousyè toubiyon! Tankou pay devan van!
O my God, make them, As whirling [dust], As chaff before a wind;
14 Tankou dife ki brile forè a, ak flanm ki limen nan tout mòn nan pou yo brile nèt.
As a fire burneth a forest, —And as a flame setteth mountains ablaze,
15 Konsa, kouri dèyè yo avèk tanpèt Ou e teworize yo ak gwo siklòn Ou.
So, wilt thou pursue them with thy tempest, —And, with thy storm-wind, wilt terrify them:
16 Plen figi yo ak gwo wont, pou yo kab chache non pa Ou, O SENYÈ.
Fill thou their faces with dishonour, That men may seek thy Name, O Yahweh;
17 Kite yo vin wont e dekouraje jis pou tout tan. Wi, kite yo imilye e peri,
Let them turn pale, and be terrified to futurity, Yea let them blush, and perish:
18 pou yo kapab konnen ke se Ou menm sèl ki pote non “Bondye”, Pi Wo sou tout tè a.
That men may know that, thou, Whose Name alone is Yahweh, Art Most High over all the earth.
