< Sòm 69 >

1 Pou direktè koral la. Sou melodi “Lis Yo”. Yon Sòm David. Sove mwen, O Bondye, paske dlo yo fin monte jis nan kou m!
O God, save me, because [I am in great danger]. [It is as though] flood water is up to my neck, [and I am about to drown] [MET].
2 Mwen desann fon nan labou. Nanpwen plas pou pye m kenbe. Mwen fin rive nan dlo fon yo, e yon gwo inondasyon ap debòde sou mwen.
I continue to sink in the deep mud, and there is no solid ground for me to stand on. I am in deep water, and flood waters are swirling around me.
3 Mwen fatige nèt ak kriye mwen an. Gòj mwen sèk nèt. Zye m varye pandan mwen ap tann Bondye mwen an.
I am exhausted from calling out [for help]; my throat is very dry. Because I have cried so much as I have waited for God [to help me], my eyes are swollen.
Those who hate me when there is no reason to hate me are more than the number of hairs on my head [HYP]! Those who want to get rid of me are strong, and they tell lies about me. They demand that I return to them things that I did not steal!
5 O Bondye, Ou konnen foli mwen. Koupabilite mwen pa kache devan Ou.
O God, (you see the sins that I have committed/my sins are not hidden from you). You know that I have foolishly [disobeyed your laws].
6 Pa kite (sila) k ap tann Ou yo vin wont akoz mwen, O Senyè BONDYE dèzame yo. Pa kite yo vin dezonere akoz mwen menm, O Bondye Israël la.
O Yahweh God, [you who are the commander] of the armies [of heaven], do not allow the [wrong things that] I [have done] to cause those who trust in you to be disappointed/disillusioned. O God, you whom [we] Israeli people [worship], do not allow me to cause your people to be humiliated.
7 Paske pou koz Ou, mwen te pote repwòch. Dezonè fin kouvri figi mwen.
People have insulted/ridiculed me because [I am devoted to] you. They have thoroughly humiliated [IDM] me.
8 Mwen vin izole de frè m yo, tankou yon etranje de fis a manman m yo.
Even my own [older] brothers act as if they do not know me; they treat me like a foreigner.
9 Epi akoz zèl mwen gen pou lakay Ou, yo manje m nèt. Repwòch a (sila) ki te repwoche Ou yo te vin tonbe sou mwen.
[Some people have despised your temple]; but my zeal for [keeping] your temple [holy] is like a fire burning inside me. So [it is as though] those who are insulting you are also insulting me.
10 Lè mwen te kriye nan nanm mwen, e te fè jèn, sa te vin yon repwòch pou mwen.
When I have humbled myself and (fasted/abstained from eating food) [to show my sadness about the disgraceful things that they have done to your temple], they just insult me.
11 Lè m te fè twal sak sèvi kon rad mwen, mwen te vin yon vye pawòl, yon rizib pou yo menm.
When I put on [rough] sackcloth [to show that I am sad], they laugh at [IDM] me.
12 (Sila) ki chita nan pòtay yo pale afè mwen, e moun sòt yo fè chan sou mwen.
Even the elders [of the city] say bad things about me. The drunkards of the city sing [disgusting] songs about me.
13 Men pou mwen, priyè mwen se a Ou menm, O SENYÈ, nan yon lè ki bon, nan grandè lanmou dous Ou a. Reponn mwen avèk sali verite Ou a.
But Yahweh, I will [continue] praying to you. At the time that you choose, answer me and rescue me because you faithfully love me.
14 Delivre mwen sòti nan labou a. Pa kite mwen fonse nèt ladann. Kite m delivre de sa yo ki rayi mwen yo, ak nan fon dlo yo.
Do not allow me to sink any more in the mud. Rescue me from those who hate me! Lift me up out of these deep waters!
15 Pa kite inondasyon dlo yo vin anvayi mwen, ni fon an vale m, ni fòs la fèmen bouch li sou mwen.
Do not allow flood waters to swirl around me, do not allow the deep [mud] to swallow me; keep me from sinking into the pit [of death] [MET].
16 Reponn mwen, O SENYÈ, paske lanmou dous Ou a bon; Selon grandè a mizerikòd Ou, vire kote mwen.
O Yahweh, answer my prayer and help me because you are good and love me faithfully.
17 Pa kache figi Ou de sèvitè Ou a, paske mwen nan gwo pwoblèm. Reponn mwen vit.
Do not (hide yourself from/refuse to hear) me; answer me quickly because I am in great trouble.
18 Rale nanm mwen pre. Rachte l! Rachte mwen akoz lènmi mwen yo!
Come near to me and save me; rescue me from my enemies.
19 Ou konnen repwòch mwen, wont mwen, avèk dezonè mwen an. Tout advèsè mwen yo devan Ou.
You know that I am insulted and that [people cause] me [to feel] ashamed and dishonored; you know [who] all my enemies [are].
20 Repwòch fin kraze kè m. Mwen vin ba nèt. Mwen te chache pitye, men pa t genyen; kondoleyans, men nanpwen.
[Their] insults have deeply offended me, and I (feel helpless/am in despair). I searched for [someone who would] pity [me], but there was no one. I wanted someone to encourage/comfort me, but there were none.
21 Anplis, yo te ban mwen fyèl kon manje ak vinèg pou swaf mwen.
[Instead], they gave me food [that tasted like] poison, and when I was thirsty, they gave me sour wine to drink.
22 Ke tab devan yo devni yon pèlen. Lè yo nan tan lapè, kite li tounen yon pyèj.
I hope/desire that the feasts [MTY] [that they enjoy] will (become a snare for/bring trouble to) them, and that [those whom they invite to] the sacrificial feasts will also be trapped.
23 Ke zye yo vin twouble pou yo pa kab wè. Ke do yo koube nèt.
I hope/desire that their eyesight will become dim so that they cannot see anything, and that their backs/bodies will become weaker and weaker.
24 Vide kòlè Ou sou yo. Ke fachèz kòlè Ou ki brile ka vini sou yo.
Show them that you are very angry with them! Because of your great/furious anger, chase after them and catch them.
25 Pou kan yo kapab dezole. Pou pa gen moun ki rete ankò nan tant yo.
Cause their towns to become abandoned/deserted and that there will be no one left to live in their tents/houses.
26 Paske yo te pèsekite (sila) ke Ou menm te blese a. Yo pale sou doulè a (sila) ke Ou menm te blese yo.
[Do this] because they persecute those whom you have punished, (they talk about the sins of/they want to hurt even more) those whom you have wounded.
27 Ogmante inikite sou inikite yo. Ni pa kite yo antre nan ladwati Ou.
Keep making a record of all their sins, do not acquit/pardon them [for the evil things that they have done].
28 Ke yo kapab efase soti nan liv lavi a. Pou yo pa vin anrejistre nan achiv ak moun ladwati yo.
Erase their names [SYN] from the book [containing the names of those who have eternal] life; do not include them in the list of righteous people.
29 Men mwen aflije e mwen nan doulè. Ke delivrans Ou, O Bondye kapab plase mwen an sekirite an wo.
As for me, I have pain and am suffering. O God, protect me and rescue me.
30 Mwen va louwe non Bondye avèk chan yo, epi leve Li wo avèk remèsiman.
When God does that, I will sing as I praise God, and I will honor him by thanking him.
31 Se sa k ap fè kè SENYÈ kontan plis pase yon bèf, ni pase yon jenn towo avèk kòn ak zago.
My doing that will please Yahweh more than [sacrificing] oxen, more than offering him full-grown bulls.
32 Enb yo te wè sa e yo kontan. Nou menm ki chache Bondye, kite kè nou reprann fòs.
Oppressed/Afflicted people will see [that God has rescued me], and they will be glad. I want all of you who ask God [to help you] to be encouraged.
33 Paske SENYÈ a tande malere yo, e Li pa meprize moun pa L ki prizonye yo.
Yahweh listens to those who are needy; He does not ignore/forget those who are oppressed/imprisoned.
34 Kite syèl la avèk tè a louwe Li, lanmè yo avèk tout sa ki fè mouvman ladann yo.
I desire that everything will praise God— everything that is in heaven and on earth, and all the creatures that are in the seas.
35 Paske Bondye va delivre Sion e bati vil Juda yo, pou yo kab rete la e posede li.
God will rescue the people of Jerusalem [from their enemies], and he will rebuild the towns that are in Judah. His people will live there and [again] possess the land.
36 Desandan a sèvitè Li yo va eritye li. (Sila) ki renmen non Li yo va rete ladann.
The descendants of his people will inherit it, and those who love him will live there [safely].
