1 Yon sòm David Bay a SENYÈ a, O Fis a moun pwisan yo, bay a SENYÈ a, glwa avèk gwo fòs.

A PSALM OF DAVID. Ascribe to YHWH, you sons of the mighty, Ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.

2 Bay a SENYÈ a, glwa ke non Li merite a. Adore SENYÈ a avèk tout sa ki sen.

Ascribe to YHWH the glory of His Name, Bow yourselves to YHWH, In the beauty of holiness.

3 Vwa SENYÈ a sou dlo yo. Bondye glwa la fè tonnè gwonde, eklate. SENYÈ a sou anpil dlo.

The voice of YHWH [is] on the waters, The God of glory has thundered, YHWH [is] on many waters.

4 Vwa SENYÈ a gen gwo fòs. Vwa SENYÈ a ranpli ak majeste.

The voice of YHWH [is] with power, The voice of YHWH [is] with majesty,

5 Vwa SENYÈ a fann bwa sèd yo. Wi, SENYÈ a fann an mòso bwa sèd Liban yo.

The voice of YHWH [is] shattering cedars, Indeed, YHWH shatters the cedars of Lebanon.

6 Li fè Liban sote. Li ponpe tankou yon ti bèf, e Sirion tankou yon jèn bèf mawon.

And He causes them to skip as a calf, Lebanon and Sirion as a son of Reems,

7 Vwa SENYÈ a koupe fè flanm dife.

The voice of YHWH is hewing fiery flames,

8 Vwa SENYÈ a souke savann nan. Vwa SENYÈ a souke savann Kadès la.

The voice of YHWH pains a wilderness, YHWH pains the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 Vwa SENYÈ a fè bich la fè pitit. Li fè forè a vin toutouni. Nan tanp Li a, tout moun ki la yo rele: “Glwa”!

The voice of YHWH pains the oaks, And makes bare the forests, And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

10 SENYÈ a te chita kon Wa nan gran inondasyon an. Wi, SENYÈ a chita kon Wa jis pou tout tan.

YHWH has sat on the flood, And YHWH sits [as] king for all time,

11 SENYÈ a va bay fòs a pèp Li a. SENYÈ a va beni pèp li a avèk lapè.

YHWH gives strength to His people, YHWH blesses His people with peace!
