1 Yon sòm David A Ou menm, O SENYÈ, mwen rele! Wòch mwen an, pa vin soud devan m, paske si Ou rete silan devan mwen, mwen va devni kon (sila) ki desann nan twou fòs la nèt.
Yahweh, I call out to you; [you are like an overhanging] rock [under which I can hide]. Do not refuse to answer me, because if you are silent, I will soon be with those who are in their graves.
2 Tande vwa a siplikasyon mwen yo lè m kriye a Ou menm pou sekou, lè m leve men m vè sanktiyè sen Ou an.
Listen to me when I call out for you [to help me], when I pray, lifting up my hands as I face your sacred temple.
3 Pa rale m sòti avèk mechan yo, avèk (sila) ki fè inikite yo, ki pale lapè avèk vwazen yo, pandan mechanste nan kè yo.
Do not drag me away with wicked people, with those who do wicked deeds, with those who pretend [to act] peacefully toward others while in their inner beings, they hate them.
4 Rekonpanse yo selon zèv yo ak selon mechanste yo abitye fè yo. Rekonpanse yo selon zèv men yo. Remèt yo tout rekonpans pa yo.
Punish those people in the way that they deserve for what they have done; punish them for their evil deeds [DOU].
5 Akoz yo pa okipe zèv a SENYÈ yo, ni travay men Li yo. Pou sa, Li va chire yo desann, e Li p ap fè yo remonte.
Yahweh, they do not pay attention to the [wonderful] things that you have done and that you have created; so get rid of them permanently and do not let them appear again!
6 Beni se SENYÈ a, akoz Li te tande vwa a siplikasyon mwen yo.
Praise Yahweh because he has heard me when I called out for him to help me!
7 SENYÈ a se fòs mwen ak boukliye mwen. Kè m mete konfyans nan Li, e mwen jwenn sekou. Pou sa, kè m leve wo nèt. Avèk chanson mwen, mwen va di Li mèsi.
Yahweh makes me strong and [protects] me [like a shield] [MET]; I trusted in him, and he helped me. I was glad, and from my inner being I praised him as I sang to him.
8 SENYÈ a se fòs yo. Li se yon defans pou sove onksyone Li yo.
Yahweh causes us to be strong and protects us; and he saves me, the one he appointed [MTY] to be king.
9 Sove pèp Ou a, e beni eritaj pa Ou a. Devni bèje yo tou, e bay yo soutyen jis pou tout tan.
Yahweh, save/rescue your people; bless those who belong to you. [Take care of them like] a shepherd [takes care of his sheep] [MET]; take care of them forever.
