1 Pou direktè koral la; Yon sòm David O SENYÈ, nan fòs Ou, Wa a va fè kè kontan. Nan delivrans Ou, ki gran rejwisans li va gen!
For the end, a Psalm of David. O Lord, the king shall rejoice in your strength; and in your salvation he shall greatly exult.
2 Ou te bay li dezi a kè li, ni Ou pa t refize demand a lèv li yo.
You have granted him the desire of his soul, and have not withheld from him the request of his lips. (Pause)
3 Paske Ou te vin rankontre Li avèk benediksyon de tout bon bagay. Ou te mete yon kouwòn sou tèt li.
For you have prevented him with blessings of goodness: you has set upon his head a crown of precious stone.
4 Li te mande Ou lavi e Ou te bay li. Yon vi ki long ak jou k ap dire jis pou tout tan.
He asked life of you, and you gave him length of days for ever and ever.
5 Glwa li gran nan sali pa Ou. Onè ak majeste Ou te mete sou li.
His glory is great in your salvation: you will crown him with glory and majesty.
6 Paske Ou te fè li beni pase tout moun, jis pou tout tan; Ou te fè li plen ak lajwa avèk kè kontan nan prezans Ou.
For you will give him a blessing for ever and ever: you will gladden him with joy with your countenance.
7 Paske wa a mete konfyans li nan SENYÈ a. Epi akoz lanmou dous a Pi Wo a, Li p ap ebranle menm.
For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Highest he shall not be moved.
8 Men ou va dekouvri tout lènmi ou yo. Men dwat ou va jwenn (sila) ki rayi ou yo.
Let your hand be found by all your enemies: let your right hand find all that hate you.
9 Ou va fè yo tankou yon founo k ap brile nan tan kòlè ou. SENYÈ a va vale yo nèt nan kòlè Li, epi dife va devore yo.
You shall make them as a fiery oven at the time of your presence: the Lord shall trouble them in his anger, and fire shall devour them.
10 Ou va detwi posterite pa yo soti sou latè, epi desandan yo ap disparèt pami fis a lòm yo.
You shall destroy their fruit from the earth, and their seed from [among] the sons of men.
11 Malgre yo te anvizaje mal kont Ou, e te fòme yon konplo, yo p ap reyisi.
For they intended evils against you; they imagined a device which they shall by no means be able to perform.
12 Paske Ou va fè yo vire do yo. Ou va pwente banza sou figi yo ak bon kontwòl.
For you shall make them [turn their] back in your latter end, you will prepare their face.
13 Ke Ou leve wo, O SENYÈ, ak tout fòs Ou! Nou va chante e bay lwanj a pwisans Ou.
Be you exalted, O Lord, in your strength: we will sing and praise your mighty acts.
