1 Pou direktè koral la; yon sòm David Syèl yo ap pale glwa Bondye a. Jan yo tèlman gran deklare zèv men Li yo.

For the Leader. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork;

2 Jou apre jou, l ap pale san rete; Nwit apre nwit, li revele konesans.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night revealeth knowledge;

3 Nanpwen langaj, ni pa gen pawòl kote nou pa tande vwa yo.

There is no speech, there are no words, neither is their voice heard.

4 Sepandan, eko yo retanti sou tout latè, ak sa yo pale jis nan ekstremite latè a. Nan mitan yo, Li te plase yon tant pou solèy la,

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tent for the sun,

5 ki tankou yon jennonm ki fenk marye k ap sòti nan chanm li. Li rejwi kon yon nonm fò k ap fè kous.

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.

6 Li leve soti nan yon pwent syèl, pou fè wonn li rive jis nan lòt pwent lan. Anyen pa chape devan chalè li.

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 Lalwa SENYÈ a pafè Li rekonfòte nanm. Temwayaj SENYÈ a vrè, k ap fè saj yo senp.

The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

8 Prensip a SENYÈ yo dwat, ki fè kè rejwi. Kòmandman SENYÈ a san tach. Li fè zye yo limen.

The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 Lakrent SENYÈ a pi; Li dire jis pou tout tan. Jijman yo SENYÈ a vrè; Yo jis san manke.

The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of the LORD are true, they are righteous altogether;

10 Yo pi chè pase lò, wi, pase anpil lò fen. Yo pi dous pase myèl, pase siwo a ki tonbe nan gato myèl la.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Anplis, se pa yo menm ke sèvitè Ou a resevwa avètisman pou fè atansyon. Pou (sila) ki kenbe yo, gen gran rekonpans.

Moreover by them is Thy servant warned; in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Se kilès ki kab rekonèt fot li? Padone mwen pou fot ke m pa konnen yo.

Who can discern his errors? Clear Thou me from hidden faults.

13 Anplis, pwoteje sèvitè ou a kont peche ògèy yo. Pa kite yo vin domine m. Konsa, mwen kab rete san fot, epi va inosan a gran peche.

Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins, that they may not have dominion over me; then shall I be faultless, and I shall be clear from great transgression.

14 Kite pawòl bouch mwen a avèk refleksyon kè m vin akseptab devan zye Ou, O SENYÈ, wòch mwen, ak sovè mwen an.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before Thee, O LORD, my Rock, and my Redeemer.
