1 Beni SENYÈ a! Beni SENYÈ a, O nanm mwen!

Praise ye Jah! Praise, O my soul, Jehovah.

2 Mwen va beni SENYÈ a pandan mwen ap viv. Mwen va chante lwanj a Bondye pa mwen an pandan mwen sou latè a.

I praise Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.

3 Pa mete konfyans nan prens yo. Nan lòm mòtèl, nan (sila) nanpwen Sali a.

Trust not in princes — in a son of man, For he hath no deliverance.

4 Lespri li pa rete; li retounen nan tè a. Nan menm jou sa a, panse li yo vin peri.

His spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, In that day have his thoughts perished.

5 A la beni (sila) ki gen sekou nan Bondye Jacob la beni, (sila) ki mete espwa li nan SENYÈ a, Bondye li a,

O the happiness of him Who hath the God of Jacob for his help, His hope [is] on Jehovah his God,

6 Ki te fè syèl la avèk tè a, lanmè ak tout sa ki ladann. Ki fidèl jis pou tout tan.

Making the heavens and earth, The sea and all that [is] in them, Who is keeping truth to the age,

7 Ki egzekite jistis pou oprime yo. Ki bay manje a moun grangou yo. SENYÈ a mete prizonye yo an libète.

Doing judgment for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry.

8 SENYÈ a ouvri zye a avèg yo. SENYÈ a leve (sila) ki vin pwostène yo. SENYÈ a renmen moun ladwati yo.

Jehovah is loosing the prisoners, Jehovah is opening (the eyes of) the blind, Jehovah is raising the bowed down, Jehovah is loving the righteous,

9 SENYÈ a pwoteje etranje yo. Li bay soutyen a òfelen an ak vèv la, men Li jennen wout mechan an.

Jehovah is preserving the strangers, The fatherless and widow He causeth to stand, And the way of the wicked He turneth upside down.

10 SENYÈ a va renye jis pou tout tan, Bondye pa Ou a, O Sion, jis pou tout jenerasyon yo. Louwe SENYÈ a!

Jehovah doth reign to the age, Thy God, O Zion, to generation and generation, Praise ye Jah!
