< Sòm 130 >
1 Yon chan pou monte vè tanp lan. Soti nan pwofondè abim nan, mwen te kriye a Ou menm, O SENYÈ.
Yahweh, I have a lot of troubles/many difficulties, so I call out to you.
2 SENYÈ, koute vwa mwen! Kite zòrèy Ou rete atantif a vwa siplikasyon mwen yo.
Yahweh, hear me, while I call out to you [SYN] to be merciful to me!
3 Si Ou menm, SENYÈ, ta sonje inikite yo, O SENYÈ, se kilès ki ta kab kanpe?
Yahweh, if you kept a record of the sins [that we have committed], not one [of us] [RHQ] would escape from being condemned [and punished]
4 Men avèk Ou menm, gen padon, pou moun ta gen reverans Ou.
But you forgive us, with the result that we greatly revere you.
5 Mwen tann SENYÈ a. Nanm mwen ap tann e nan pawòl Li, mwen mete espwa m.
Yahweh has said [that he would help/rescue me]; I trust what he said, and I wait eagerly for him to do that.
6 Nanm mwen ap tann SENYÈ a plis pase gadyen k ap tann maten rive a. Anverite, plis pase gadyen k ap tann maten rive a.
I wait for Yahweh [to help me] more than watchmen wait for the light to dawn; yes, I wait more eagerly than they do!
7 O Israël, mete espwa nan SENYÈ a. Paske kote SENYÈ a ye, gen mizerikòd. Avèk Li, gen redanmsyon an abondans.
You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will bless us]. [He will bless us] because he faithfully loves [us], and he is very willing to save/rescue [us].
8 Li va fè redanmsyon Israël de tout inikite Li yo.
And he will save us Israeli [people] from [being punished for] all the sins that [we] have committed.
