< Sòm 108 >
1 Yon chan. Yon Sòm David Kè m fèm, O Bondye; mwen va chante. Mwen va chante lwanj ou, menm avèk tout nanm mwen.
A Song, a Melody: David’s. Fixed, is my heart, O God, I will sing and touch the strings, even mine honour.
2 Fè leve ap avèk lir! Mwen va fè leve solèy la!
Awake, O harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn!
3 Mwen va bay remèsiman a Ou menm, O SENYÈ, pami pèp yo. Mwen va chante lwanj a Ou pami nasyon yo.
I will thank thee among the peoples, O Yahweh, and will sing praise unto thee, among the tribes of men.
4 Paske lanmou dous Ou a gran pase syèl yo, e verite Ou rive jis nan syèl yo.
For, great, above the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, and, as far as the skies, thy faithfulness.
5 Leve wo, O Bondye, anwo syèl yo ak glwa Ou anwo tout tè a.
Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, And, above all the earth, be thy glory.
6 Pou (sila) ke Ou tèlman renmen an, kapab delivre. Sove avèk men dwat Ou e reponn mwen!
To the end thy beloved ones may be delivered, Oh save thou with thy right hand and answer me!
7 Bondye te pale nan sentete Li a: “Mwen va leve wo, Mwen va divize Sichem, e mezire tout vale Succoth la.
God, hath spoken in his holiness, I will exult! I will apportion Shechem! And, the Vale of Succoth, will I measure out;
8 Galaad se pou Mwen. Manassé se pa M. Ephraïm se kas sou tèt Mwen. Juda se baton wayal Mwen.
Mine, is Gilead—mine, Manasseh, but, Ephraim, is the defence of my head, Judah, is my commander’s staff;
9 Moab se basen lesiv Mwen. Sou Edom, Mwen va jete soulye M. Sou Philistie, Mwen va rele byen fò.”
Moab, is my wash-bowl, Upon Edom, will I throw my shoe, Over Philistia, raise a shout of triumph.
10 Se kilès ki va mennen M antre nan vil fòtifye a? Kilès ki va mennen M Edom?
Who will conduct me to a fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?
11 Se pa ke Ou, Ou menm, O Bondye, te rejte nou an? Èske Ou p ap sòti avèk lame nou yo, O Bondye?
Hast not thou, O God, rejected us? and wilt not go forth, O God, with our hosts.
12 O bannou sekou kont advèsè a, paske delivrans a lòm se anven.
Grant us help out of distress, for, vain, is the deliverance of man:
13 Avèk Bondye, nou va fè zèv vanyan. Se Li menm ki va foule advèsè nou yo anba pye L.
In God, shall we do valiantly, He himself, therefore, shall tread down our adversaries.
