< Sòm 102 >

1 Koute lapriyè mwen, O SENYÈ! Epi kite kri sekou mwen rive bò kote Ou.
“A prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out before the Lord his complaint.” O Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Pa kache figi Ou sou mwen nan jou gwo twoub mwen an; Panche zòrèy Ou bò kote m. Nan jou ke m rele Ou a, reponn mwen vit.
Hide not thy face from me on the day when I am distressed; incline unto me thy ear; on the day when I call, answer me speedily.
3 Paske jou m yo te manje nèt nan lafimen, e zo m te chofe tankou yon chemine.
For my days vanish in smoke, and my bones are burning like a hearth.
4 Kè m fin frape tankou zèb. Li fennen nèt. Anverite, mwen bliye manje pen mwen.
Struck [by heat] like the herb and dried up is my heart; for I forget to eat my bread.
5 Akoz gwo bri kri mwen yo, zo m yo kole sou chè m.
Because of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my flesh.
6 Mwen sanble ak yon grangozye nan dezè. Mwen tankou yon frize nan gran savann.
I am like the pelican of the wilderness: I am become like the owl amid ruins.
7 Mwen kouche zye tou louvri. Mwen tankou yon zwazo izole sou twati kay la.
I watch, and I am become like a [night-]bird sitting alone upon the housetop.
8 Lènmi m yo repwoche m tout lajounen. (Sila) ki moke m yo sèvi ak non mwen kon madichon.
All the day my enemies reproach me: they that mock me swear by me.
9 Paske mwen te manje sann kon pen e mele bwason m ak dlo zye m,
For ashes do I eat like bread, and my drink I mingle with weeping;
10 akoz endiyasyon avèk kòlè Ou. Ou te leve m wo e te jete m lwen.
Because of thy indignation and thy wrath; for thou hadst lifted me up, and hast cast me down.
11 Jou m yo tankou yon lonbraj ki vin long. Mwen vin fennen tankou zèb.
My days are like a shadow that declineth; and like the herb I wither.
12 Men Ou menm, O SENYÈ, Ou dire jis pou tout tan E non Ou jis a tout jenerasyon yo.
But thou, O Lord, wilt sit enthroned for ever; and thy memorial is unto all generations.
13 Ou va leve pou fè pitye sou Sion, paske se lè pou fè li gras. Lè apwente a fin rive l.
Thou wilt indeed arise; thou wilt have mercy upon Zion; for it is time to favor her, for the appointed time is coming.
14 Anverite, sèvitè Ou yo twouve plezi nan wòch li yo. Yo plen tristès akoz pousyè li.
For thy servants hold dear her stones, and her very dust they cherish.
15 Pou sa, nasyon yo va krent non SENYÈ a, e tout wa latè yo va krent glwa Ou.
Then shall nations fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory:
16 Paske se SENYÈ a ki te ranfòse Sion. Li te parèt nan glwa Li.
When the Lord shalt have built up Zion, he appeareth in his glory;
17 Li te prete atansyon a lapriyè malere yo, e pa t meprize priyè yo.
[When] he hath regarded the prayer of the forsaken, and doth not despise their prayer.
18 Sa va ekri pou jenerasyon k ap vini an. Pou yon pèp ki poko kreye kapab bay lwanj a SENYÈ a.
This shall be written down for the latest generation; and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.
19 Li te gade anba soti nan wotè sen Li an. Soti nan syèl la, SENYÈ a te veye sou latè,
For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; the Lord hath cast from heaven his view to the earth:
20 pou tande vwa plenyen a prizonye a, pou mete an libète (sila) ki te kondane a lanmò yo,
To hear the sighing of the prisoner; to loosen those that are doomed to death:
21 Pou lezòm ta kab pale sou non SENYÈ a nan Sion, e bay lwanj Li nan Jérusalem,
That men may proclaim in Zion the name of the Lord, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22 pandan pèp yo rasanble ansanm ak wayòm yo, pou sèvi SENYÈ a.
When people are gathered together, and kingdoms, to serve the Lord.—
23 Li fin febli fòs mwen nan chemen an. Li rakousi nonb de jou mwen yo.
He hath weakened on the way my strength; he hath shortened my days.
24 Mwen te di: “O Bondye mwen an, pa rache m nan mitan jou mwen yo. Ane pa Ou yo dire pandan tout jenerasyon yo.
I will say, O my God! take me not away in the midst of my days: throughout all generations are thy years.
25 Depi tan ansyen yo, Ou te fonde latè, e syèl yo se zèv lamen Ou yo.
In olden times didst thou lay the foundations of the earth; and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26 Malgre yo peri, Ou menm va rete toujou. Wi, tout bagay nan yo va vin epwize tankou yon vètman. Tankou rad, Ou va chanje yo, e yo va chanje.
These will indeed perish, but thou wilt ever exist: yea, all of them will wear out like a garment; as a vesture wilt thou change them, and they will be changed;
27 Men Ou menm, se menm jan an Ou ye. Ane pa Ou yo p ap janm fini.
But thou art ever the same, and thy years will have no end.
28 Pitit a sèvitè Ou yo va kontinye, e desandan pa yo va etabli devan Ou.”
The children of thy servants will dwell [securely], and their seed will be firmly established before thee.
