1 Sa se vwayaj a fis Israël yo sou sila yo te sòti nan peyi Égypte la pa lame pa yo, anba direksyon Moïse avèk Aaron.

These [are] the journeys of the sons of Israel who have come out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts, by the hand of Moses and Aaron;

2 Moïse te ekri yon rapò pou montre pwent kòmansman nan vwayaj yo selon kòmand SENYÈ a, e sa yo se vwayaj selon pwent kòmansman sila yo.

and Moses writes their outgoings, by their journeys, by the command of YHWH; and these [are] their journeys, by their outgoings:

3 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Ramsès nan premye mwa a, sou kenzyèm jou a. Nan jou apre Pak la, fis Israël yo te soti avèk gwo kouraj devan zye a tout Ejipsyen yo,

And they journey from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; from the day after the Passover the sons of Israel have gone out with a high hand before the eyes of all the Egyptians—

4 pandan tout Ejipsyen yo t ap antere tout premye ne ke SENYÈ a te frape detwi pami yo. SENYÈ a te osi egzekite jijman sou dye ki te pou yo.

and the Egyptians are burying those whom YHWH has struck among them, every firstborn, and YHWH has done judgments on their gods.

5 Alò, fis a Israël yo te vwayaje soti Ramsès pou te fè kan nan Succoth.

And the sons of Israel journey from Rameses and encamp in Succoth.

6 Yo te vwayaje soti Succoth pou te fè kan nan Etham, ki sou kote dezè a.

And they journey from Succoth and encamp in Etham, which [is] in the extremity of the wilderness.

7 Yo te vwayaje soti Etham pou te vire fè bak jis nan Pi-Hahiroth, ki anfas Baal-Tsephon, e yo te vin fè kan devan Migdol.

And they journey from Etham and turn back over Pi-Hahiroth, which [is] on the front of Ba‘al-Zephon, and they encamp before Migdol.

8 Yo te vwayaje soti devan Pi-Hahiroth. Yo te pase nan mitan lanmè a pou rive nan dezè a, yo te vwayaje pandan twa jou nan dezè Étham an, e yo te vin fè kan nan Mara.

And they journey from Pi-Hahiroth, and pass over through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and go a journey of three days in the wilderness of Etham, and encamp in Marah.

9 Yo te vwayaje soti Mara pou te rive nan Élim. Nan Élim, te gen douz sous dlo, swasann-dis pye palmis, e yo te fè kan an.

And they journey from Marah and come to Elim, and twelve fountains of waters and seventy palm trees [are] in Elim, and they encamp there.

10 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Élim, pou te fè kan bò kote Lamè Wouj.

And they journey from Elim and encamp by the Red Sea.

11 Yo te vwayaje soti Lamè Wouj pou te fè kan nan dezè Tsin nan.

And they journey from the Red Sea and encamp in the wilderness of Sin.

12 Yo te vwayaje soti nan dezè Tsin nan pou te fè kan nan Dophka.

And they journey from the wilderness of Sin and encamp in Dophkah.

13 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Dophka pou te fè kan nan Alusch.

And they journey from Dophkah and encamp in Alush.

14 Yo te vwayaje soti Alusch pou te fè kan nan Rephidim. Se te la ke pèp la pa t gen dlo pou bwè a.

And they journey from Alush and encamp in Rephidim; and there was no water there for the people to drink.

15 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Rephidim pou te fè kan nan dezè Sinaï a.

And they journey from Rephidim and encamp in the wilderness of Sinai.

16 Yo te vwayaje soti nan dezè Sinaï a pou te fè kan nan Kibroth-Hattaava.

And they journey from the wilderness of Sinai and encamp in Kibroth-Hattaavah.

17 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Kibroth-Hattaava pou te fè kan nan Hatséroth.

And they journey from Kibroth-Hattaavah and encamp in Hazeroth.

18 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Hatséroth pou te fè kan nan Rithma.

And they journey from Hazeroth and encamp in Rithmah.

19 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Rithma pou te fè kan nan Rimmon-Pérets.

And they journey from Rithmah and encamp in Rimmon-Parez.

20 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Rimmon-Pérets pou te fè kan nan Libna.

And they journey from Rimmon-Parez and encamp in Libnah.

21 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Libna pou te fè kan nan Rissa.

And they journey from Libnah and encamp in Rissah.

22 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Rissa pou te fè kan nan Kehélatha.

And they journey from Rissah and encamp in Kehelathah.

23 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Kehélatha pou te fè kan nan Schapher.

And they journey from Kehelathah and encamp in Mount Shapher.

24 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Mòn Schapher pou te fè kan nan Harda.

And they journey from Mount Shapher and encamp in Haradah.

25 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Harda pou te fè kan nan Makhéloth.

And they journey from Haradah and encamp in Makheloth.

26 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Makhéloth pou te fè kan nan Tahath.

And they journey from Makheloth and encamp in Tahath.

27 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Tahath pou te fè kan nan Tarach.

And they journey from Tahath and encamp in Tarah.

28 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Tarach pou te fè kan nan Mithka.

And they journey from Tarah and encamp in Mithcah.

29 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Mithka pou te fè kan nan Haschmona.

And they journey from Mithcah and encamp in Hashmonah.

30 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Haschmona pou te fè kan nan Moséroth.

And they journey from Hashmonah and encamp in Moseroth.

31 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Moséroth pou te fè kan nan Bené-Jaakan.

And they journey from Moseroth and encamp in Bene-Jaakan.

32 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Bené-Jaakan pou te fè kan nan Hor-Guidgad.

And they journey from Bene-Jaakan and encamp at Hor-Hagidgad.

33 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Hor-Guidgad pou te fè kan nan Jothbatha.

And they journey from Hor-Hagidgad and encamp in Jotbathah.

34 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Jothbatha pou te fè kan nan Abrona.

And they journey from Jotbathah and encamp in Ebronah.

35 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Abrona pou te fè kan nan Etsjon-Guéber.

And they journey from Ebronah and encamp in Ezion-Gaber.

36 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Etsjon-Guéber pou te fè kan nan dezè a Tsin nan: sa vle di, Kadès.

And they journey from Ezion-Gaber and encamp in the wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh.

37 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Kadès pou te fè kan nan Mòn Hor, nan lizyè peyi Édom an.

And they journey from Kadesh and encamp in Mount Hor, in the extremity of the land of Edom.

38 Konsa, Aaron, prèt la, te monte nan Mòn Hor selon lòd SENYÈ a, e li te mouri la nan karantyèm ane apre fis Israël yo te sòti nan peyi Égypte la, nan premye jou sou senkyèm mwa a.

And Aaron the priest goes up to Mount Hor by the command of YHWH, and dies there in the fortieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month;

39 Aaron te gen san-venn-twazan lè li te mouri sou Mòn Hor a.

and Aaron [is] a son of one hundred and twenty-three years in his dying on Mount Hor.

40 Alò, Kananeyen an, wa a Arad ki te rete Negev la nan peyi Canaran an, te tande ke fis Israël yo t ap pwoche.

And the Canaanite, king of Arad, who is dwelling in the south in the land of Canaan, hears of the coming of the sons of Israel.

41 Alò, yo te vwayaje soti nan Mòn Hor pou te fè kan nan Tsalmona.

And they journey from Mount Hor and encamp in Zalmonah.

42 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Tsalmona pou te fè kan nan Punon.

And they journey from Zalmonah and encamp in Punon.

43 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Punon pou te fè kan nan Oboth.

And they journey from Punon and encamp in Oboth.

44 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Oboth pou te fè kan nan Ijjé-Abarim nan lizyè Moab la.

And they journey from Oboth and encamp in Ije-Abarim, in the border of Moab.

45 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Ijjé-Abarim pou te fè kan nan Dibon-Gad.

And they journey from Iim and encamp in Dibon-Gad.

46 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Dibon-Gad pou te fè kan nan Almon-Diblathaïm.

And they journey from Dibon-Gad and encamp in Almon-Diblathaim.

47 Yo te vwayaje soti nan Almon-Diblathaïm pou te fè kan nan mòn Abarim yo devan Nebo.

And they journey from Almon-Diblathaim and encamp in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48 Yo te vwayaje soti nan mòn Abarim yo pou te fè kan nan plèn a Moab yo akote Jourdain an, anfas Jéricho.

And they journey from the mountains of Abarim and encamp in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho.

49 Yo te fè kan akote Jourdain an, soti nan Beth-Jeschimoth pou jis rive nan Abel-Sittim nan plèn a Moab yo.

And they encamp by the Jordan, from Beth-Jeshimoth as far as Abel-Shittim in the plains of Moab.

50 Alò, SENYÈ a te pale avèk Moïse nan plèn a Moab yo akote Jourdain an anfas Jéricho. Li te di:

And YHWH speaks to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,

51 Pale avèk fis Israël yo e di yo, “Lè nou fin travèse Jourdain an pou antre nan peyi Canaran an,

“Speak to the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: When you are passing over the Jordan to the land of Canaan,

52 alò, nou va chase deyò tout abitan nan peyi a soti devan nou. Nou va detwi tout zidòl taye an wòch pa yo, detwi tout imaj fonn yo, e kraze nèt tout wo plas yo.

then you have dispossessed all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and have destroyed all their imagery, indeed, you destroy all their molten images, and you lay waste [to] all their high places,

53 “Konsa, nou va pran posesyon peyi a pou viv ladann. Paske Mwen te bay peyi a a nou pou posede li.

and you have possessed the land and dwelt in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it.

54 Nou va eritye teren an pa tiraj osò selon fanmi nou yo. Pou pi gran fanmi yo, eritaj la va vin plis, pou pi piti yo, nou va bay mwens nan eritaj la. Nenpòt lè tiraj osò a tonbe sou nenpòt fanmi, sila a va pou li. Nou va eritye pa tribi a zansèt nou yo.

And you have inherited the land by lot, by your families; to the many you increase their inheritance, and to the few you diminish their inheritance; to where the lot goes out to him, it is his; you inherit by the tribes of your fathers.

55 “Men si nou pa pouse mete deyò, tout abitan peyi a devan nou, alò, li va vin rive ke sila ke nou kite pami nou yo, va vin pike zye nou. Yo va devni tankou pikan bò kote nou, e yo va twouble nou nan peyi kote nou rete a.

And if you do not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it has been [that] those whom you let remain of them [are] for pricks in your eyes and for thorns in your sides, and they have distressed you on the land in which you are dwelling,

56 Epi li va rive ke sa M te anvizaje fè yo, M ap vin fè l nou.”

and it has come to pass, as I thought to do to them, I do to you.”
