< Miche 6 >
1 Koute koulye a sa ke SENYÈ a ap di: “Leve, plede ka ou devan mòn yo; kite kolin yo tande vwa ou.
Hear, I pray you, what, Yahweh, is saying, —arise thou, maintain thy controversy before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice: —
2 Koute, O mòn yo, pwosè vèbal SENYÈ a, e ou menm, fondasyon latè ki dire tout tan yo. Paske SENYÈ a gen yon ka kont pèp Li a, e Li va plede ka Li ak Israël.
Hear, ye mountains, the controversy of Yahweh, and ye lasting rocks, the foundations of the earth, —for, a controversy, hath Yahweh, with his people, and, with Israel, will he dispute.
3 “Pèp Mwen, se kisa Mwen te fè Ou? Nan kisa Mwen te fatige ou? Reponn Mwen!
O my people! what have I done to thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? Testify thou against me!
4 Anverite Mwen te mennen nou monte soti nan peyi Égypte. Mwen te rachte ou soti nan kay esklavaj la. Mwen te voye devan ou Moïse, Aaron ak Marie.”
For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and, out of the house of slaves, I ransomed thee, —and I sent before thee, Moses, Aaron and Miriam.
5 Pèp mwen, sonje koulye a konsèy Balak, wa Moab la ak sa Balaam, fis a Beor a, te reponn li depi nan Sittim rive Guilgal, pou nou ta ka konnen zèv ladwati a SENYÈ a.”
O my people! remember, I pray you, what Balak king of Moab, counseled, and what Balaam son of Beor, answered him, —from the Acacias as far as Gilgal, that ye may know the righteousness of Yahweh.
6 Avèk kisa mwen ta dwe vin parèt devan SENYÈ a, e bese m ba devan Bondye anlè a? Èske mwen ta vini ak ofrann brile, ak ti bèf ki gen yon lane?
Wherewith, shall I come before Yahweh? bow myself to God on high? Shall I come before him with ascending-sacrifice? with calves of a year old?
7 Èske SENYÈ a pran plezi nan milye de belye yo? Oswa nan dè di-milye de rivyè lwil yo? Èske se premye ne mwen an mwen dwe bay pou zak rebelyon mwen yo? Fwi a kò m pou peche nanm mwen an?
Will Yahweh, be pleased, with thousands of rams? with myriads of torrents of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression? the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 Li te montre ou, O lòm, sa ki bon. Ki sa SENYÈ a egzije de ou? Sèl pou fè sa ki jis, renmen Mizerikòd, e mache nan imilite ak Bondye ou a?
He hath told thee, O son of earth, what is good, —what then is, Yahweh, seeking of thee, but, to do justice, to delight in lovingkindness, and humbly to walk with thy God?
9 Vwa SENYÈ a va rele vè vil la, e sajès, li menm, fè lakrent non Ou. “Koute baton an, ak Sila ki te deziye l.
The voice of Yahweh, to the city, crieth out, With safety for him who regardeth his name, —Hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
10 Èske toujou gen trezò mechanste lakay mechan an, ak yon mezi ki manke? Ki se madichonnen?
Even yet, are there, in the house of the lawless one, the treasures of lawlessness, —and the scant measure—accurst?
11 Èske Mwen kapab tolere yon fo balans ak yon sachè fo pèz?
Shall I be pure with lawless balances? or with bag of deceitful weights?
12 Paske moun rich li yo plen vyolans. Rezidan li yo fè manti, e lang yo twonpe soti nan bouch yo.
For, her rich men, are full of violence, and, her inhabitants, have spoken falsehood, —and, their tongue, is deceitful in their mouth.
13 Konsa tou, Mwen te frape ou ak yon blesi grav. Mwen te fè ou vin dezole akoz peche ou yo.
Moreover also, I, have made thee sick with smiting thee, —laying thee waste because of thy sins.
14 Ou va manje, men ou p ap satisfè. Imilyasyon ou va nan mitan ou. Ou va vin mete sou kote, men ou p ap konsève, e sa ke ou t ap rezève a, Mwen va bay li a nepe.
Thou, shalt eat—and not be satisfied, but be shrunk with hunger within thee, —Though thou remove, yet shalt thou not set in safety, and, what thou dost set in safety, to the sword, will I deliver.
15 Ou va simen, men ou p ap rekòlte. Ou va kraze grenn oliv anba pye, men ou menm p ap onksyone ak lwil; kraze rezen, men ou p ap bwè diven an.
Thou, shalt sow, but shalt not reap, —thou, shalt tread the olive, but shalt not anoint thee with oil, also the grape, but shalt not drink the wine.
For strictly observed are the statutes of Omri, and every doing of the house of Ahab, and ye have walked in their counsels, —to the end I may give thee up to desolation, and her inhabitants to hissing, that, the reproach of peoples, ye may bear.
