Miche 1
1 Pawòl SENYÈ a ki te adrese a Michée, moun Moréscheth la, nan jou a Jotham, Achaz, ak Ézéchias, wa Juda yo, pawòl ke li te wè konsènan Samarie ak Jérusalem nan.
And the word of the Lord came to Michaeas the son of Morasthi, in the days of Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, kings of Juda, concerning what he saw regarding Samaria and Jerusalem.
2 Tande, O pèp yo, nou tout! Koute, O latè a, ak tout sa ki ladann. Kite SENYÈ Bondye a vin temwen kont nou; SENYÈ a, depi nan tanp sen Li an.
Hear [these] words, ye people; and let the earth give heed, and all that are in it: and the Lord God shall be among you for a testimony, the Lord out of his holy habitation.
3 Paske gade byen, SENYÈ a ap vin sòti nan plas Li a. Li va vin desann pou foule wo plas latè yo.
For, behold, the Lord comes forth out of his place, and will come down, and will go upon the high places of the earth.
4 Mòn yo fann anba Li; Vale yo fann tankou lasi devan dife, tankou dlo k ap vide desann yon pant apik.
And the mountains shall be shaken under him, and the valleys shall melt like wax before the fire, and as water rushing down a declivity.
5 Tout sa se pou rebelyon a Jacob la ak pou peche Israël la. Se kisa ki rebelyon a Jacob la? Èske se pa Samarie? Se kisa ki wo plas a Juda yo? Èske se pa Jérusalem?
All these [calamities are] for the transgression of Jacob, and for the sin of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? [is it] not Samaria? and what is the sin of the house of Juda? [is it] not Jerusalem?
6 Alò, Mwen va fè Samarie vin yon pil mazi nan yon chan louvri, tankou yon kote pou plante yon chan rezen. Mwen va vide wòch batisman li yo nan vale a, e Mwen va dekouvri mete toutouni tout fondasyon li yo.
Therefore I will make Samaria [as] a store-house of the fruits of the field, and [as] a planting of a vineyard: and I will utterly demolish her stones, and I will expose her foundations.
7 Tout zidòl li yo va vin kraze nèt, tout kado yo bay li yo va vin brile ak dife a, e tout zidòl li yo Mwen va detwi; paske se pou salè a yon pwostitiye ke li te ranmase yo, e pou salè a yon pwostitiye yo va remèt.
And they shall cut in pieces all the graven images, and all that she has hired they shall burn with fire, and I will utterly destroy all her idols: because she has gathered of the hires of fornication, and of the hires of fornication has she amassed [wealth].
8 Pousa, mwen oblije fè dèy e kriye fò. Mwen oblije ale pye atè ak toutouni. Mwen oblije fè lamantasyon tankou chen mawon, plenyen tankou otrich!
Therefore shall she lament and wail, she shall go barefooted, and [being] naked she shall make lamentation as [that] of serpents, and mourning as of the daughters of sirens.
9 Paske blesi li a p ap ka geri; paske li fin rive nan Juda. Li rive nan pòtay a pèp mwen an, menm Jérusalem.
For her plague has become grievous; for it has come even to Juda; and has reached to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
10 Pa pale sa nan Gath. Pa kriye menm. Nan Beth-Leaphra mwen te woule kò mwen nan pousyè.
Ye that are in Geth, exalt not yourselves, and ye Enakim, do not rebuild from [the ruins of] the house in derision: sprinkle dust [in the place of] your laughter.
11 Ale fè wout ou, ou menm ki rete Schaphir; nan lawont ak toutouni ou. Moun Tsaanan p ap chape. Plenyen Beth-Haëtsel la: Li va retire sou ou tout soutyen li.
The inhabitant of Sennaar, fairly inhabiting her cities, came not forth to mourn for the house next to her: she shall receive of you the stroke of grief.
12 Paske moun Maroth vin fèb nan tann sa ki bon, akoz malè vin desann sòti nan SENYÈ a, rive nan pòtay Jérusalem nan.
Who has begun [to act] for good to her that dwells in sorrow? for calamities have come down from the Lord upon the gates of Jerusalem,
13 Tache cheval yo nan cha lagè a, O moun Lakis! Fi sila a te kòmansman peche pou fi Sion an— akoz se nan ou, yo te twouve zak rebelyon a Israël yo.
[even] a sound of chariots and horsemen: the inhabitants of Lachis, she is the leader of sin to the daughter of Sion: for in thee were found the transgressions of Israel.
14 Alò, ou va bay kado dadye a Moreschet-Gath. Lakay Aczib yo va vin yon desepsyon pou wa Israël yo.
Therefore shall he cause men to be sent forth as far as the inheritance of Geth, [even] vain houses; they are become vanity to the kings of Israel;
15 Anplis, Mwen va mennen bay nou sila k ap pran posesyon nou an, O nou menm k ap viv nan Maréscha yo! Glwa Israël la va antre menm nan Adullam.
until they bring the heirs, O inhabitant of Lachis: the inheritance shall reach to Odollam, [even] the glory of the daughter of Israel.
16 Vin chòv nèt; koupe tout cheve ou pou pitit ke ou renmen an. Elaji tèt chòv ou pou vin tankou èg, paske yo te ale an egzil kite ou!
Shave thine hair, and make thyself bald for thy delicate children; increase thy widowhood as an eagle; for [thy people] are gone into captivity from thee.
