< Matye 8 >

1 Lè Jésus te fin desann mòn nan, yon gran foul te swiv Li.
WHEN he had descended from the mountain, great multitudes clave to him.
2 Epi yon moun lalèp te vin kote L, te bese devan Li. Li te di: “Senyè, si se volonte Ou, Ou kapab fè m vin pwòp”.
And, behold, a certain leper came (and) worshipped him, and said, My Lord, if thou art willing, thou canst cleanse me.
3 Jésus te lonje men Li e te touche l. Li te di l: “Se volonte Mwen; vin pwòp.” Imedyatman lèp la te vin pwòp.
And Jeshu extended his hand, and touched him, and said, I am willing: be clean; and in that very hour his leprosy was cleansed.
4 Jésus te di li: “Gade pou ou pa di pèsòn sa, men ale prezante ou devan prèt la, epi bay yo ofrann lan ke Moïse te mande a kon yon temwayaj a yo menm.”
And Jeshu said to him, See that thou tell no man, but go, show thyself to the priests, and offer the oblation that Musha required for their testimony.
5 Lè Jésus te fin antre Capernaüm, yon chèf sentiwon Women te vin sipliye Li:
Then when Jeshu had entered into Kapharnachum, a certain centurion approached him, and besought of him,
6 “Senyè, sèvitè mwen an kouche paralize lakay mwen. L ap soufri anpil.”
saying, My Lord, my child is lying in the house, paralysed and grievously tormented.
7 Jésus Li te di li: “M ap vin geri li.”
Jeshu saith to him, I will come and heal him.
8 Men sentiwon an te reponn Li: “Senyè, mwen pa dign pou Ou pase anba twati kay mwen, men sèlman di yon mo, e sèvitè mwen an va geri.
The centurion answered and saith, My Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldst come beneath my roof; only speak in a word, and my child shall be healed.
9 Paske mwen menm tou se yon moun anba otorite, avèk sòlda anba mwen. Mwen di a youn ‘ale’, li ale, e a yon lòt ‘vini’, e li vini, epi a esklav mwen ‘Fè sa’ e li fè l.”
For I also am a man under authority, and under my hand there are soldiers. I say to this one, Go, and he goeth; and to the other, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth.
When Jeshu heard this, he was moved with admiration, and said to those with him, Truly I say to you, that in Isroel I have not found faith like this.
11 Konsa, Mwen di nou ke anpil moun va vin soti nan lès ak lwès pou chita sou tab avèk Abraham, Isaac ak Jacob nan wayòm syèl la;
But I tell you, That many shall come from the east, and from the west, and shall recline with Abraham, and Is'hok, and Jakub, in the kingdom of the heavens;
12 men fis yo a wayòm lan ap jete deyò nan fon tenèb. E nan plas sa a, yo va rele anmwey e yo va manje dan yo.”
but the children of the kingdom shall go forth into outer darknesses; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13 Jésus te di a sentiwon an: “Ou mèt ale. Ke sa fèt pou ou jan ou kwè a.” Konsa, sèvitè li a te geri nan menm lè sa a.
And Jeshu said unto the centurion, Go; as thou hast believed, it shall be to thee. And his child was healed in that very hour.
14 Lè Jésus te antre lakay Pierre, Li te wè bèlmè li kouche malad sou kabann li avèk lafyèv.
AND Jeshu came to the house of Shemun, and saw his mother-in-law lying, a fever having seized her.
15 Lè Li fin touche men li, lafyèv la te kite l. Konsa, li te leve pou sèvi Li.
And he touched her with his hand, and the fever left her; and she arose and ministered to them.
And when it was evening, they brought before him many demoniacs, and he cast out their devils by a word; and all those who were heavily afflicted he healed.
So was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Eshaia, who said, That he should take our griefs, and bear our infirmities.
18 Lè Jésus te wè yon foul t ap antoure l, Li te pase lòd pou pati ale lòtbò lanmè a.
Now when Jeshu saw the great multitudes which encompassed him, he commanded that they should go to the opposite shore.
19 Yon sèten skrib te parèt. Li te di L: “Mèt, m ap swiv ou nenpòt kote ou ale.”
And a certain scribe approached him, and said, Rabi, I will come after thee to the place whither thou goest.
20 Jésus te di li: “Rena yo gen twou pou yo kache, e zwazo anlè yo gen nich pa yo, men Fis a Lòm nan pa gen kote pou repoze tèt Li.”
Jeshu saith to him, The foxes have their dens, and the fowls of heaven a bower, but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
21 Yon lòt nan disip Li yo te di Li: “Senyè, kite mwen premyèman ale antere papa m.”
And another from his disciples said to him, My Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.
22 Men Jésus te di li: “Swiv Mwen. Kite mò yo antere mò parèy yo.”
But Jeshu said to him Come after me, and leave the dead ones burying their dead.
23 Lè L fin antre nan kannòt la, disip Li yo te swiv Li.
AND when Jeshu had ascended into the ship, his disciples ascended with him.
24 Epi konsa, te vin leve yon gwo tanpèt sou lanmè a, ki te fè vag lanmè yo kouvri kannòt la; men Jésus, Li menm, t ap dòmi.
And, behold, a great commotion was made on the sea, insomuch that the vessel was covered by the waves; but Jeshu himself was asleep.
25 Disip Li yo te vin fè L leve. Yo te di L: “Senyè, sove nou! N ap peri!”
And the disciples approached him, that they might awake him, saying to him, Our Lord, deliver us, we are perishing!
26 Li te reponn yo: “Poukisa nou pè konsa, moun ak ti lafwa piti?” Konsa Li te leve. Li te reprimande van an avèk lanmè a, e tan an te vin kalm nèt.
And Jeshu said to them, Why are you fearful, you little in faith? Then he arose, and forbade the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 Moun yo te etone. Yo te di: “Ki kalite moun sa a ye, ke menm van avèk lanmè obeyi Li?”
But the men were struck with wonder, saying, What (being) is this, to whom the winds and the sea are obedient?
And when Jeshu came to the other side, to the region of the Godroyee, there met him two demoniacs, who came forth from the place of sepulchres, exceedingly malignant, insomuch that no man could pass by that way.
29 Epi yo te kriye e te di: “Kisa nou gen avè W, Fis Bondye a? Èske Ou vini la pou toumante nou avan lè a?”
And they shouted, saying, What to us, and to thee, Jeshu, son of Aloha? Hast thou come hither before the time, to torment us?
Now there was at a distance from them a herd of many swine feeding.
31 Epi lespri yo te kòmanse sipliye Li konsa: “Si ou ap mete nou deyò, voye nou nan bann kochon sa yo.”
Those demons, therefore, supplicated from him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go into the herd of swine.
32 Li te di yo: “Ale!” Yo te pati e te ale nan kochon yo. Lapoula, tout bann kochon yo te kouri desann falèz la, tonbe nan lanmè, pou mouri nan dlo a.
Jeshu saith to them, Go: and immediately they went forth, and entered into the swine; and the whole herd rushed directly over the rock, and, plunging into the sea, perished in the waters.
And they who tended them, fled, and went into the city, and showed every thing that was done, and what concerned these demoniacs.
Lè yo te wè L, yo te sipliye Li pou kite peyi yo a.
the whole city came forth to meet Jeshu himself; and when they beheld him, they besought from him that he would remove from their coasts.
