< Jozye 10 >
1 Alò, li te vin rive ke lè Adoni-Tsédek, wa Jérusalem nan te tande ke Josué te kapte Aï e te detwi li nèt (jis jan ke li te fè Jéricho avèk wa li a, konsa li te fè Aïavèk wa li a), e ke pèp Gabaon an te fè lapè avèk Israël e yo te rete nan mitan yo,
And it was when heard Adoni-Zedek [the] king of Jerusalem that he had captured Joshua Ai and he had totally destroyed it just as he had done to Jericho and to king its so he had done to Ai and to king its and that they had made peace [the] inhabitants of Gibeon with Israel and they were in midst their.
2 ke li te vin pè anpil, akoz Gabaon te yon gran vil tankou youn nan vil wayal yo, epi akoz li te pi gran ke Aï e tout gason li yo te pwisan.
And they were afraid very for [was] a city great Gibeon like one of [the] cities of royalty and for it [was] great more than Ai and all men its [were] warriors.
3 Pou sa, Adoni-Tsédek, wa Jérusalem nan te voye Hoham, wa Hébron an ak Piream, wa Jarmuth ak Japhia, wa Lakis avèk Debir, wa Eglon an, e te di:
And he sent Adoni-Zedek [the] king of Jerusalem to Hoham [the] king of Hebron and to Piram [the] king of Jarmuth and to Japhia [the] king of Lachish and to Debir [the] king of Eglon saying.
4 “Vin monte kote mwen pou ede m. Annou atake Gabaon, paske yo te fè lapè avèk Josué e avèk fis Israël yo.”
Come up to me and help me so we may attack Gibeon for it has made peace with Joshua and with [the] people of Israel.
5 Konsa, senk wa Amoreyen yo, wa Jérusalem nan, wa Hébron an, wa Jarmuth lan, wa Lakis la ak wa Eglon an te monte, yo menm avèk tout lame yo, yo te fè kan akote Gabaon pou te goumen kont li.
And they gathered and they went up [the] five - [the] kings of the Amorite[s] [the] king of Jerusalem [the] king of Hebron [the] king of Jarmuth [the] king of Lachish [the] king of Eglon they and all armies their and they encamped on Gibeon and they waged war on it.
6 Mesye Gabaon yo te voye kote Josué kote kan Guilgal la, e te di: “Pa abandone sèvitè ou yo; vin monte kote nou pou ede nou; paske tout wa Amoreyen ki rete nan peyi kolin yo te vin rasanble kont nou.”
And they sent [the] men of Gibeon to Joshua to the camp Gilgal towards saying may not you let drop hands your from servants your come up to us quickly and save! us and help us for they have gathered together against us all [the] kings of the Amorite[s] [the] inhabitants of the hill country.
7 Alò, Josué te monte soti Guilgal, li menm ansanm ak tout moun lagè yo ak tout gèrye vanyan yo.
And he went up Joshua from Gilgal he and all [the] people of war with him and all [the] mighty [men] of strength.
8 SENYÈ a te di a Josué: “Pa pè yo, paske Mwen te mete yo nan men ou. Pa menm youn nan yo va kanpe devan ou.”
And he said Yahweh to Joshua may not you be afraid from them for in hand your I have given them not he will make a stand anyone from them in face your.
9 Konsa, Josué te parèt sou yo sibitman akoz yo te mache nan nwit lan soti Guilgal.
And he came to them Joshua suddenly all the night he had gone up from Gilgal.
10 Epi SENYÈ a te fè yo fè dega devan Israël. Li te touye yo avèk yon gwo masak nan Gabaon, Li te kouri dèyè yo nan chemen pant Beth-Horon e Li te frape yo jis rive Azéka, avèk Makkéda.
And he routed them Yahweh before Israel and he struck down them a defeat great at Gibeon and he pursued them [the] direction of [the] ascent of Beth Horon and he struck down them to Azekah and to Makkedah.
11 Pandan yo t ap sove ale devan Israël, pandan yo t ap desann pant Beth-Horon an, SENYÈ a te voye gwo wòch sòti nan syèl la sou yo jis rive Azéka, e yo te mouri. Pifò nan yo te mouri akoz gwo lagrèl ke sila ke fis Israël yo te touye avèk lam nepe yo.
And it was when fled they - from before Israel they [were] at [the] descent of Beth Horon and Yahweh he threw on them stones large from the heavens to Azekah and they died [were] many [those] who they died by [the] stones of the hail more than [those] whom they killed [the] people of Israel with the sword.
12 Konsa, Josué te pale avèk SENYÈ a nan jou ke SENYÈ a te livre Amoreyen yo devan fis Israël yo. Li te pale devan tout zye a fis Israël yo: “O solèy, kanpe an plas sou Gabaon! Epi lalin nan, rete la, nan vale Ajalon!”
Then he spoke Joshua to Yahweh on [the] day delivered up Yahweh the Amorite[s] before [the] people of Israel and he said - to [the] eyes of Israel O sun at Gibeon be still and O moon in [the] valley Aijalon.
And it was still the sun and [the] moon it stood still until it avenged itself on [the] nation enemies its ¿ not [is] it written on [the] scroll of Jashar and it stood still the sun in [the] middle of the heavens and not it hastened to go about a day complete.
14 Pa t gen jou tankou sila a ni devan li, ni apre li, lè SENYÈ a te koute vwa a yon moun; paske SENYÈ a te goumen pou Israël.
And not it has been like the day that before it and after it to listen Yahweh to [the] voice of a man for Yahweh [was] fighting for Israel.
15 Konsa, Josué avèk tout Israël avèk li te retounen nan kan an Guilgal.
And he returned Joshua and all Israel with him to the camp Gilgal towards.
16 Men senk wa sila yo te sove ale pou te kache kò yo nan gwòt Makkéda a.
And they fled [the] five the kings these and they hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah.
17 Li te pale a Jousé ke: “Senk wa yo te twouve kache nan gwòt Makkéda a.”
And it was told to Joshua saying they have been found [the] five the kings hidden in the cave at Makkedah.
18 Josué te di: “Woule gwo wòch yo kont bouch gwòt la; epi mete mesye yo veye l,
And he said Joshua roll stones large into [the] mouth of the cave and appoint over it men to guard them.
19 men pa rete nou menm. Swiv lènmi nou yo pou atake yo pa dèyè. Pa kite yo antre nan vil yo, paske SENYÈ a, Bondye nou an, te livre yo nan men nou.”
And you may not you delay pursue after enemies your and you will attack in [the] rear them may not you permit them to go into cities their for he has given them Yahweh God your in hand your.
And it was when finished Joshua and [the] people of Israel to strike down them a defeat great very until were finished they and the survivors they survived of them and they went into [the] cities of fortification.
21 pou tout pèp la te retounen nan kan an kote Josué nan Makkéda anpè. Pèsòn pa t pale yon mo kont fis Israël yo.
And they returned all the people to the camp to Joshua Makkedah in peace not he sharpened to [the] people of Israel to anyone tongue his.
And he said Joshua open [the] mouth of the cave and bring out to me [the] five the kings these from the cave.
23 Se konsa yo te fè, yo te mennen senk wa sila yo soti deyò gwòt la: wa Jérusalem nan, wa Hébron an, wa Jarmuth lan, wa Lakis la ak wa Eglon an.
And they did thus and they brought out to him [the] five the kings these from the cave - [the] king of Jerusalem [the] king of Hebron [the] king of Jarmuth [the] king of Lachish [the] king of Eglon.
And it was when brought out they the kings these to Joshua and he summoned Joshua every man of Israel and he said to [the] commanders of [the] men of war who had gone with him draw near put feet your on [the] necks of the kings these and they drew near and they put feet their on necks their.
25 Epi Josué te di yo: “Pa pè, ni dekouraje! Kenbe fèm e pran kouraj, paske konsa SENYÈ a va fè a tout lènmi nou yo lè yo goumen avèk nou.”
And he said to them Joshua may not you be afraid and may not you be dismayed be strong and be bold for thus he will do Yahweh to all enemies your whom you [are] fighting them.
26 Epi answit, Josué te frape yo e te mete yo a lanmò, epi te pann yo sou senk pyebwa. Yo te pann sou bwa yo jis rive nan aswè.
And he struck them Joshua after thus and he killed them and he hanged them on five trees and they were hanged on the trees until the evening.
27 Li te rive nan lè solèy kouche ke Josué te bay yon kòmand pou yo te desann yo nan pyebwa yo, e jete yo nan gwòt kote yo te kache kò yo a. Yo te mete gwo wòch sou bouch gwòt la, ki la jis jodi a.
And it was to [the] time of - [the] going of the sun he commanded Joshua and people took down them from on the trees and they threw them into the cave where they had hidden themselves there and they put stones large over [the] mouth of the cave until [the] substance of the day this.
And Makkedah he captured Joshua on the day that and he struck it to [the] mouth of [the] sword and king its he totally destroyed them and every person who [was] in it not he left a survivor and he did to [the] king of Makkedah just as he had done to [the] king of Jericho.
29 Epi Josué avèk tout Israël avèk li te pase soti Makkéda a Libna pou te goumen kont Libna.
And he passed on Joshua and all Israel with him from Makkedah Libnah and he engaged in battle with Libnah.
30 SENYÈ a te bay Libna tou ansanm ak wa li nan men Israël.
And he gave Yahweh also it in [the] hand of Israel and king its and he struck it to [the] mouth of [the] sword and every person who [was] in it not he left in it a survivor and he did to king its just as he had done to [the] king of Jericho.
31 Konsa, Josué avèk tout Israël avèk li te pase soti nan Libna a Lakis. Yo te fè kan kontra li e te goumen kont li.
And he passed on Joshua and all Israel with him from Libnah Lachish towards and he encamped on it and he engaged in battle against it.
32 SENYÈ a te bay Lakis nan men Israël. Li te kaptire li nan dezyèm jou a. Li te frape li ak tout moun ki te ladann avèk lam nepe, jis jan ke li te fè a Libna a.
And he gave Yahweh Lachish in [the] hand of Israel and he captured it on the day second and he struck it to [the] mouth of [the] sword and every person who [was] in it according to all that he had done to Libnah.
33 Alò Horam, wa Guézer a, te monte pou ede Lakis. Jousé te bat li ak pèp li a jiskaske li pa t kite moun vivan.
Then he came up Horam [the] king of Gezer to help Lachish and he attacked him Joshua and people his until not he had left to him a survivor.
And he passed on Joshua and all Israel with him from Lachish Eglon towards and they encamped on it and they engaged in battle on it.
And they captured it on the day that and they struck it to [the] mouth of [the] sword and every person who [was] in it on the day that he totally destroyed according to all that he had done to Lachish.
36 Alò, Josué avèk tout Israël avèk li te monte soti Églon a Hébron, epi yo te goumen kont li.
And he went up Joshua and all Israel with him from Eglon Hebron towards and they engaged in battle on it.
And they captured it and they struck it to [the] mouth of [the] sword and king its and all cities its and every person who [was] in it not he left a survivor according to all that he had done to Eglon and he totally destroyed it and every person who [was] in it.
38 Epi Josué avèk tout Israël avèk li te retounen a Debir pou yo te goumen kont li.
And he turned back Joshua and all Israel with him Debir towards and he engaged in battle on it.
39 Li te kaptire li avèk wa li a, ak tout vil li yo. Yo te frape yo avèk lam nepe e te detwi yo nèt tout moun ladann. Li pa t kite moun vivan. Jis jan ke li te fè Hébron an, konsa li te fè Debir avèk wa li a e li te osi fè nan Libna avèk wa li a.
And he captured it and king its and all cities its and they struck them to [the] mouth of [the] sword and they totally destroyed every person who [was] in it not he left a survivor just as he had done to Hebron so he did to Debir and to king its and just as he had done to Libnah and to king its.
And he defeated Joshua all the land the hill country and the Negev and the Shephelah and the slopes and all kings their not he left a survivor and every breathing thing he totally destroyed just as he had commanded Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
41 Josué te frape yo soti Kadès-Barnéa, jis rive Gaza.
And he struck down them Joshua from Kadesh Barnea and to Gaza and all [the] land of Goshen and to Gibeon.
42 Jousé te kaptire tout wa sila yo avèk peyi yo nan yon sèl kou, akoz SENYÈ a, Bondye a Israël la, te goumen pou Israël.
And all the kings these and land their he captured Joshua time one for Yahweh [the] God of Israel [was] fighting for Israel.
And he returned Joshua and all Israel with him to the camp Gilgal towards.
