< Jòb 6 >

1 Epi Job te reponn:
And Job answers and says:
2 “O ke doulè m ta kab peze pou mete nan balans lan, ansanm ak gwo dega ki vin sou mwen yo!
“O that my provocation were thoroughly weighed, And my calamity in balances They would lift up together!
3 Paske li ta pi lou pase sab lanmè yo. Akoz sa a, pawòl mwen yo te tèlman san règ.
For now it is heavier than the sands of the sea, Therefore my words have been rash.
4 Paske flèch Toupwisan an fin antre anndan m; lespri m ap bwè pwazon. Gwo laperèz Bondye a vin alinye kont mwen.
For arrows of the Mighty [are] with me, Whose poison is drinking up my spirit. Terrors of God array themselves [for] me!
5 Èske bourik mawon ranni sou zèb li, oswa bèf rele sou manje li?
Does a wild donkey bray over tender grass? Does an ox low over his provender?
6 Èske bagay san gou kapab manje san sèl, oswa èske pati blan nan zye poul a gen gou?
Is an insipid thing eaten without salt? Is there sense in the drivel of dreams?
7 Nanm mwen p ap touche yo. Yo tankou manje abominab pou mwen.
My soul is refusing to touch! They [are] as my sickening food.
8 “O ke sa m mande ta kab rive, e ke Bondye ta ban m sa m anvi wè a!
O that my request may come, That God may grant my hope!
9 Ke Bondye ta dakò pou kraze m nèt, ke Li ta lache men l pou retire mwen nèt!
That God would please—and bruise me, Loose His hand and cut me off!
10 Kite sa toujou kòm konsolasyon mwen; wi, kite mwen rejwi nan doulè k ap kraze mwen, pou m pa t renye pawòl a Sila Ki Sen an.
And yet it is my comfort (And I exult in pain—He does not spare), That I have not hidden The sayings of the Holy One.
11 Ki jan fòs mwen ye, pou m ta tan? Epi kilès lafen mwen, ke m ta dwe sipòte?
What [is] my power that I should hope? And what [is] my end that I should prolong my life?
12 Èske fòs mwen tankou wòch, o èske chè m kon bwonz?
Is my strength the strength of stones? Is my flesh bronze?
13 Èske se pa ke nanpwen sekou anndan m, ke tout sajès fin chase lwen mwen?
Is my help not with me, And substance driven from me?
14 “Paske pou nonm ki pèdi tout espwa a, li ta dwe twouve konpasyon nan zanmi li; menm a li menm ki kon pèdi lakrent Wo Pwisan an.
To a despiser of his friends [is] shame, And the fear of the Mighty he forsakes.
15 Frè m yo te aji ak desepsyon kon yon ravin, kon flèv ravin ki vin sèch;
My brothers have deceived as a brook, As a stream of brooks they pass away.
16 ki vin sal tankou glas k ap fonn kote lanèj kon kache.
That are black because of ice, By them snow hides itself.
17 Nan sezon sèch, yo pa la; lè li cho, yo disparèt sou plas yo.
By the time they are warm they have been cut off, By its being hot they have been Extinguished from their place.
18 Chemen a kous pa yo tòde tout kote; yo monte rive vin anyen; yo vin disparèt.
The paths turn aside of their way, They ascend into emptiness, and are lost.
19 Karavàn Théma yo te vin veye; vwayajè Séba yo te gen espwa yo.
Passengers of Tema looked expectingly, Travelers of Sheba hoped for them.
20 Yo te desi paske yo te mete konfyans; yo te vini la, e te etone.
They were ashamed that one has trusted, They have come to it and are confounded.
21 Anverite, koulye a se konsa ou ye; ou wè laperèz e ou vin pè.
Surely now you have become the same! You see a downfall, and are afraid.
22 Èske mwen te di ou: ‘Ban m yon bagay’? Oswa m te fè yon demann anba tab pou retire nan richès ou?
Is it because I said, Give to me? And, By your power bribe for me?
23 Oswa ‘delivre m nan men advèsè a’? Oswa ‘rachte mwen nan men opresè sila yo’?
And, Deliver me from the hand of an adversary? And, Ransom me from the hand of terrible ones?
24 “Enstwi mwen e mwen va pe la! Montre mwen kote mwen gen tò.
Show me, and I keep silent, And what I have erred, let me understand.
25 Kèl doulè pawòl onèt sa yo genyen! Men kisa diskou ou a pwouve?
How powerful have been upright sayings, And what reproof from you reproves?
26 Èske ou gen entansyon repwoche pawòl mwen yo, lè ou konnen se van ki mèt pawòl yo lè moun dekouraje nèt?
For reproof—do you reckon words? And for wind—sayings of the desperate?
27 Konsa, ou ta menm tire osò pou òfelen yo e fè twòk pou zanmi ou.
You cause anger to fall on the fatherless, And are strange to your friend.
28 Alò, souple, gade mwen e wè si se manti m ap fè nan figi ou.
And now, please, look on me, Even to your face do I lie?
29 Rete la, koulye a e pa kite enjistis fèt. Retounen kote m! Jiska prezan, ladwati mwen rete ladan an.
Please turn back, let it not be perverseness, Indeed, turn back again—my righteousness [is] in it.
30 Èske gen enjistis sou lang mwen? Èske bouch mwen pa kapab distenge gou gwo malè?”
Is there perverseness in my tongue? Does my palate not discern calamity?”
