< Jòb 33 >

1 “Malgre sa, koulye a, Job, souple tande mesaj mwen an e koute tout pawòl mwen yo.
Hear, therefore, my discourse, I pray thee, O Job! And attend unto all my words!
2 Gade byen, se koulye a mwen ouvri bouch mwen. Se lang nan bouch mwen ki pale.
Behold, I am opening my mouth; My tongue is now speaking in my palate.
3 Pawòl mwen yo sòti nan ladwati kè mwen, e lèv mwen pale soti yon kè ki renmen verite a.
My words shall be in the uprightness of my heart; My lips shall utter knowledge purely.
The spirit of God made me, And the breath of the Almighty gave me life.
5 Di m se pa sa, si ou kapab. Alinye pawòl ou yo an lòd devan m, e kanpe.
If thou art able, answer me; Set thyself in array against me; stand up!
6 Men gade byen, mwen se moun Bondye menm jan tankou ou. Mwen menm tou te fèt ak ajil la.
Behold, I, like thee, am a creature of God; I also was formed of clay.
Behold, my terror cannot dismay thee, Nor can my greatness be heavy upon thee.
Surely thou hast said in my hearing, I have heard the sound of thy words:
9 Job te di: ‘Mwen san tach, san transgresyon; mwen inosan e nanpwen koupabilite nan mwen.
“I am pure, and without transgression; I am clean, and there is no iniquity in me.
10 Gade byen, Li envante pretèks kont mwen; Li kontwole m tankou lènmi.
Behold, He seeketh causes of hostility against me; He regardeth me as his enemy.
11 Li mete pye mwen nan sèp; Li veye tout chemen mwen yo.’
He putteth my feet in the stocks; He watcheth all my paths.”
Behold, in this thou art not right; I will answer thee; For God is greater than man.
Why dost thou contend with Him? For he giveth no account of any of his doings.
14 Anverite, Bondye pale yon fwa, oswa de fwa, men pèsòn pa okipe sa.
For God speaketh once, Yea, twice, when man regardeth it not.
15 Nan yon rèv, yon vizyon nan nwit la, lè dòmi pwofon kon tonbe sou lòm, pandan yo nan somèy sou kabann yo,
In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumber upon the bed;
16 konsa, Li ouvri zòrèy a lòm e mete so sou enstriksyon yo,
Then openeth he the ears of men, And sealeth up for them admonition;
17 pou Li kapab vire lòm pou chanje kondwit li e anpeche li fè ògèy.
That he may turn man from his purpose, And hide pride from man.
18 Konsa, Li pwoteje nanm li pou l pa rive nan fòs la e lavi li pou l pa lantre nan Sejou Lanmò a.
Thus he saveth him from the pit, Yea, his life from perishing by the sword.
19 “Lòm, anplis, resevwa chatiman doulè sou kabann li; avèk plent san rete jis rive nan zo li;
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, And with a continual agitation of his bones,
20 jiskaske lavi li vin rayi pen, e nanm li, manje ke li te pi renmen an.
So that his mouth abhorreth bread, And his taste the choicest food;
His flesh is consumed, that it cannot be seen, And his bones, that were invisible, are naked;
22 Nanm li vin rale toupre fòs lanmò a e lavi li pwoche sila kap detwi yo.
Yea, his soul draweth near to the pit, And his life to the destroyers.
23 “Si gen yon zanj pou ta entèsede pou li, se tankou youn nan yon milye, ki pou ta fè yon moun sonje sa k ap bon pou li,
But if there be with him a messenger, An interpreter, one of a thousand, Who may show unto man his duty,
24 konsa, Bondye fè l gras. Li di l: ‘Delivre li pou l pa rive nan fòs lanmò a, Mwen te twouve yon racha.’
Then will God be gracious to him, and say, “Save him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.”
25 Kite chè li vin pi fre ke li te ye nan jenès li. Kite li retoune nan jou a fòs jenès li yo.
His flesh shall became fresher than a child's; He shall return to the days of his youth.
26 Konsa, li va priye a Bondye, e Li va aksepte li, pou l kab wè figi L plèn ak jwa. Se konsa, Li restore ladwati a lòm.
He shall pray to God, and he will be favorable to him, And permit him to see his face with joy, And restore unto man his righteousness.
27 Li va chante devan lèzòm. Li va di: “Mwen te peche, mwen te konwonpi sa ki dwat, e li pa t bon pou mwen.
He shall sing among men, and say, “I sinned; I acted perversely; Yet hath he not requited me for it:
28 Li te rachte nanm mwen pou l pa rive nan fòs lanmò a, e lavi m va wè limyè a.’
He hath delivered me from going down to the pit, And my life beholdeth the light.”
Lo! all these things doeth God Time after time with man,
30 pou mennen nanm li fè l sòti kite fòs lanmò a, pou l kab eklèsi ak limyè lavi a.
That he may bring him back from the pit, That he may enjoy the light of the living.
31 Prete atansyon, O Job, koute m byen; rete an silans e kite mwen pale.
Mark well, O Job! hearken to me! Keep silence, and I will speak.
32 Si ou gen yon bagay pou di, alò, reponn mwen; pale, paske mwen vle ba ou rezon.
Yet if thou hast any thing to say, answer me! Speak! for I desire to pronounce thee innocent.
33 Men si non, koute mwen; rete an silans, e mwen va montre ou sajès.”
But if not, do thou listen to me! Keep silence, and I will teach thee wisdom!
