< Jòb 13 >
1 “Veye byen, zye m gen tan wè tout sa. Zòrèy mwen tande e konprann li.
Lo, my eye has seen all this. My ear has heard and understood it.
What ye know, I also know; I am not inferior to you.
3 “Men mwen ta pale ak Toupwisan an; mwen vle diskite ak Bondye.
Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
4 Men nou sal moun ak manti. Se yon bann doktè sanzave nou ye.
But ye are forgers of lies. Ye are all physicians of no value.
O that ye would altogether be silent! And it would be your wisdom.
6 Souple, tande pawòl mwen, e koute mo a lèv mwen.
Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
7 Èske ou kab pale pou Bondye sa ki pa jis, e pale sa ki manti pou Li?
Will ye speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
8 Èske ou va pran ka pa Li? Èske ou va diskite pou Bondye?
Will ye show partiality to him? Will ye contend for God?
Is it good that he should search you out? Or as deceiving a man, will ye deceive him?
10 Anverite, Li va repwoche ou si ou apye yon bò ak patripri.
He will surely reprove you if ye secretly show partiality.
11 Èske majeste Li p ap bay ou lakrent? Laperèz Li p ap tonbe sou ou?
Shall not his majesty make you afraid, and his dread fall upon you?
Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes. Your defenses are defenses of clay.
13 “Rete an silans devan m pou m kab pale; epi kite nenpòt sa ki rive m k ap rive.
Be quiet. Let me alone that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
14 Poukisa mwen ta mete chè m nan pwòp dan m e mete lavi m nan men m?
Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
15 Malgre Li ta touye mwen, mwen va mete espwa m nan Li. Malgre, mwen va fè diskou chemen mwen yo devan L.
Behold, he will kill me; I have no hope. Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.
This also shall be my salvation, that a profane man shall not come before him.
17 Koute pawòl mwen byen pre e kite deklarasyon mwen yo ranpli zòrèy ou.
Hear diligently my speech, and let my declaration be in your ears.
18 Tande koulye a, mwen te prepare ka mwen an; mwen konnen ke mwen va jistifye.
Behold now, I have set my case in order. I know that I am righteous.
19 Se kilès ki va diskite kont mwen? Paske konsa, mwen ta rete anpè e mouri.
Who is he who will contend with me? For then I would keep silent and give up the spirit.
20 “Se sèl de bagay pou pa fè mwen; konsa mwen p ap kache devan figi Ou:
Only do not do two things to me, then I will not hide myself from thy face:
21 Retire men Ou sou mwen e pa kite laperèz Ou fè m sezi.
Withdraw thy hand far from me, and do not let thy dread make me afraid.
22 Epi rele e mwen va reponn; oswa kite m pale epi reponn mwen.
Then call thou, and I will answer, or let me speak, and answer thou me.
23 Fè m wè fòs kantite inikite mwen yo avèk peche m yo? Fè m rekonèt rebelyon mwen ak peche m yo.
How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.
24 Poukisa Ou kache figi Ou e konsidere m kon lènmi Ou?
Why do thou hide thy face, and reckon me for thine enemy?
25 Èske Ou ta fè yon fèy k ap vole nan van tranble? Oswa èske Ou va kouri dèyè pay van an seche a.
Will thou harass a driven leaf? And will thou pursue the dry stubble?
26 Paske Ou ekri bagay anmè kont mwen e fè m eritye tout inikite a jenès mwen yo.
For thou write bitter things against me, and make me to inherit the iniquities of my youth.
Thou also put my feet in the stocks, and mark all my paths. Thou set a bound to the soles of my feet.
28 pandan mwen ap dekonpoze kon yon bagay k ap pouri, kon yon vètman ki manje pa mit.”
Though I am like a rotten thing that decays, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
