< Ezayi 55 >
1 “Gade! Tout sa ki swaf yo, vin nan dlo! Nou menm ki pa gen kòb yo, vin achte pou manje. Vin achte diven ak lèt san lajan, e san frè.
Ho! every one that thirsteth! Come ye to the waters, Yea he that hath no money, —Come ye—buy corn, and eat, Yea come—buy corn without money, And without price, wine and milk,
Wherefore should ye spend, Money, for that which is not bread? Or your labour, for that which, satisfieth not? Keep on hearkening unto me, And, so eat that which is good, And let your soul take exquisite delight in fatness:
3 Prete zòrèy nou e vin kote Mwen. Koute pou nou ka viv. Mwen va fè yon akò avè w k ap dire pou tout tan, selon mizerikòd fidèl ki te montre a David la.
Incline your ear, and come unto me, Hearken, That your soul, may live, —That I may solemnise for you a covenant age-abiding, The Lovingkindness to David, well-assured.
4 Gade byen, Mwen te bay li kon yon temwen a pèp la, yon chèf ak kòmandè pou pèp la.
Lo! As a witness to the peoples, have I given him, —As a leader and commander to the peoples:
5 Gade byen, ou va rele yon nasyon ou pa rekonèt; yon nasyon ki pa rekonèt ou va kouri bò kote ou, akoz SENYÈ Bondye ou a, ak Sila Ki Sen an Israël la; paske Li te bay ou glwa.”
Lo! A nation thou shalt not know, shalt thou call, And, a nation which hath not known thee, unto thee, shall run, —For the sake of Yahweh thy God, And for the Holy One of Israel, because he hath adorned thee.
6 Chache SENYÈ a pandan Li kapab twouve; rele Li pandan Li toupre a.
Seek Yahweh while he may be found, —Call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Kite mechan an abandone chemen li an, ak pechè a, panse li yo. Kite li retounen kote SENYÈ a e Li va gen mizerikòd sou li; anvè Bondye nou an, ki pa janm manke mizerikòd.
Let the lawless forsake his way, And the man of iniquity, his thoughts, —And let him return unto Yahweh That he may have compassion upon him, And unto our God, For he will abundantly pardon.
8 “Paske, panse pa Mwen yo se pa panse pa w, ni wout ou yo se pa wout pa M”, deklare SENYÈ a.
For, my thoughts, are not, your thoughts, Nor, your ways, my ways, —Declareth Yahweh.
9 Paske tankou syèl yo pi wo ke tè a, konsa wout Mwen yo pi wo ke wout pa w yo, e panse Mwen yo ke panse pa w yo.
For, higher, are the heavens than the earth, —So, higher, are My ways than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
10 Paske menm jan ke lapli ak lanèj desann sòti nan syèl la, e pa retounen la, san ke yo pa awoze tè a, pou fè l donnen e boujonnen, pou fè l bay semans pou kiltivatè, ak pen pou sila k ap manje a;
For, as the rain and the snow descend from the heavens. And thither, do not return, Except they have watered the earth. And caused it to bring forth and bud, —And given seed to the sower, and bread to the eater,
So, shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth, It shall not return unto me void, —But shall accomplish that which I please, And shall prosper in that whereunto I have sent it.
12 Paske ou va sòti ak kè kontan e mennen sòti ak lapè. Mòn yo ak kolin yo va eklate nan gwo kri lajwa devan ou, e tout bwa nan chan yo va bat men yo.
For with gladness shall ye come forth, And in peace, shall ye be led, —the mountains and the hills shall break out, before you, into shouts of triumph, And all the wild trees shall clap their hands:
13 Olye de bwa pikan, bwa siprè va leve; olye machacha, bwa jasmen va leve. Sa va sèvi kon yon memoryal a SENYÈ a, kon yon sign k ap dire nèt, ki p ap janm disparèt.
Instead of the thorn-bush, shall come up the fir-tree, And instead of the nettle, shall come up the myrtle-tree, —So shall it become unto Yahweh, a Name, A Sign age-abiding, which shall not be cut off.
