< Ezayi 5 >
1 Kite mwen chante koulye a pou byeneme mwen an, selon chan rezen Li. Byeneme m nan te gen yon chan rezen sou yon kolin byen fètil.
Let me sing a song for my love, about his vineyard. My love owned a vineyard on a productive hill.
He dug it over, cleared the ground of stones, and planted it with the very best vines. In the middle of it he built a watchtower, and he also cut out a winepress from the rock. Then he waited for a good harvest of grapes, but it only produced wild, sour grapes.
3 Konsa, O abitan Jérusalem yo ak mesye Juda yo, jije antre Mwen menm ak chan rezen Mwen an.
“Now, you people who live in Jerusalem and Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.
4 Kisa anplis ki gen pou fèt pou chan rezen Mwen an ke M pa t fè deja? Poukisa lè M te atann a bon rezen yo, li te vin pwodwi sa ki pa bon yo?
What more could I have done for my vineyard than I've already done? When I looked for sweet grapes, why did it only produce sour ones?
5 Pou sa a, kite Mwen di nou koulye a sa M ap fè ak chan rezen sa a: Mwen va retire kloti li e li va brile; Mwen va kraze miray li e li va vin foule nèt.
So let me tell you what I'm going to do to my vineyard. I'll remove its hedge, and it will be destroyed. I'll tear down its wall, and it will be trampled underfoot.
6 Mwen va gaye gate l nèt. Li p ap koupe ni sèkle ak wou, men pikan ak zepin va vin leve nan li. Anplis, Mwen va pase lòd sou nwaj yo pou lapli pa tonbe ladann.
I'll turn it into a wasteland. It won't be pruned or weeded—it will be overgrown with brambles and thorns. I'll order the clouds not to rain on it.”
Israel is the vineyard of the Lord Almighty, and the people of Judah are the plants in his garden that made him happy. Yet while he hoped for justice, he only saw injustice; he hoped people would live right, but he only heard the cries of those who were suffering.
8 Malè a sila ki ogmante kay sou kay ak chan a sou lòt chan, jiskaske pa gen plas, pou ou oblije rete sèl nan mitan peyi a!
Tragedy is coming to you who buy house upon house and field upon field, joining them all together until no one else has anywhere to live and you live alone in the land.
9 Nan zòrèy mwen SENYÈ dèzame yo te sèmante: “Anverite, anpil kay va vin vid; menm sa ki bèl yo, san moun pou rete ladann.
I heard the Lord Almighty declare: You can be sure that many houses are destined to become ruins, and beautiful mansions destined to become uninhabited.
10 Paske kat ekta teren p ap donnen plis ke yon bat (22 lit) diven e yon omè (220 lit) p ap bay plis ke yon efa (22 lit) sereyal.”
Ten acres of vineyard will only produce a six gallons of wine, and a measure of seed only a tenth of that in grain.
11 Malè a sila ki leve granmaten yo pou yo ka kouri dèyè bwason fò, sila ki rete kanpe tan lannwit pou diven an ka anflame yo.
Tragedy is coming to you who get up early in the morning wanting a drink, and who stay up late drinking wine until you're drunk.
12 Gwo fèt pa yo akonpanye ak jwe gita ak ap, tanbouren, flit ak diven; men yo pa okipe zèv SENYÈ yo, ni yo pa konsidere zèv men Li yo.
At their feasts you have lyres and harps, tambourines and flutes, and wine, but you don't ever consider what the Lord is doing, and you don't recognize his help.
13 Pou sa, pèp Mwen an antre an egzil akoz mank konesans yo; epi mesye ki gen onè yo rete grangou e foul moun yo rete sèch ak swaf.
As a result my people will be exiled for their lack of understanding. Their honored leaders will starve, and the crowds will be dying of thirst.
14 Pou sa, Sejou mò yo vin fè gòj li pi gwo e louvri bouch li jiskaske li pa ka kontwole; epi bèlte a Jérusalem, tout pèp li a, ak gwo kri kè kontan yo, vin desann ladann. (Sheol )
The grave's appetite increases, its mouth opens wide, and Jerusalem's nobility and the masses will go down into it, along with the rowdy, drunken mobs. (Sheol )
15 Pou sa, tout moun yo va imilye e limanite va abese; anplis, zye a ògeye a va vin febli nèt.
Everyone will be brought down, everyone will be humbled; the proud will lower their eyes in humiliation.
16 Men SENYÈ dèzame yo va leve wo nan jijman e Bondye sen an va montre sentete Li nan ladwati.
But the Lord Almighty will be vindicated because he does what is right; the holy God will be shown to be holy because of his goodness.
17 Konsa, jèn mouton yo va manje alèz konsi se nan chan patiraj e etranje yo va manje pami ansyen mazi a moun rich yo.
Lambs will graze as in their own pasture; fattened livestock and goats will feed among the ruins of the rich.
18 Malè a sila ki rale inikite ak kòd manti, e ki fè peche tankou se kòd kabwèt;
Tragedy is coming to you who pull along your sins behind you with iniquity with cords made of lies, and pulling with ropes a cartful of wickedness.
19 Ka p di: “Kite Li fè vit, kite Li prese fè travay Li pou nou ka wè; kite volonte a Sila Ki Sen an Israël la vin rapwoche pou fè sa rive pou nou ka konnen!”
You are among the people who say, “God should hurry up! Why doesn't God get a move on with what he's doing so we can see it? Why doesn't the Holy One of Israel execute his plan? Let's see it happen so we can understand what it is!”
20 Malè a sila ki rele mal la bon, ak bon nan mal; sila ki prezante tenèb la tankou limyè a, ak limyè a kon tenèb la; sila ki prezante sa ki anmè a kon dous, e sa ki dous kon anmè.
Tragedy is coming to you who say evil is good, and good is evil; who turn darkness into light and light into darkness; who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter.
21 Malè a sila ki saj nan pwòp zye yo e ki sipoze ke yo byen koken yo!
Tragedy is coming to you who are wise in your own eyes and think you're so clever.
22 Malè a sila ki vanyan nan bwè gwòg la e gen gwo kouraj nan mele bwason fò a,
Tragedy is coming to you who are wine-drinking champions, and experts at mixing alcoholic drinks;
23 sila ki jistifye mechan yo pou kòb glise anba tab e ki rachte dwa a sila ki gen rezon yo!
you who set the guilty free for a bribe, and yet deny justice to the innocent.
24 Akoz sa, tankou lang dife a manje pay sèch yo e konsonmen zèb sèch nan flanm nan, konsa rasin yo va vin tankou pouriti, e flè yo va vannen ale tankou pousyè; paske yo fin rejte lalwa SENYÈ dèzame yo, e te rayi pawòl a Sila Ki Sen An Israël la.
In the same way fire burns up stubble and dry grass falls down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers disintegrate into dust. For they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty, and have treated with contempt what the Holy One of Israel has said.
25 Akoz sa, kòlè SENYÈ a te brile kont pèp Li a, Li te lonje men l kont yo e te frape yo tonbe anba. Mòn yo te tranble e kadav yo te kouche tankou fatra nan mitan lari a. Menm ak tout sa a, kòlè Li a poko fin pase, men men L toujou lonje.
That's why the Lord burns with anger against his people. He has lifted up his hand and hit them, shaking the mountains, and leaving their corpses lying like refuse in the streets. Despite all this, his anger is not finished, and his hand is still lifted up.
26 Konsa, Li va leve yon drapo a yon nasyon byen lwen e Li va soufle pou li soti nan dènye pwent latè; epi gade byen, li va vini byen vit ak gwo vitès.
He will send a signal to the distant nations, and will whistle for those living at the ends of the earth. See how quickly they respond, how speedily they come!
27 Nan nasyon sila a, nanpwen moun ki ni fatige, ni tonbe; nanpwen moun k ap kabicha oswa k ap dòmi; ni sentiwon nan senti li pa lage, menm bretèl sandal li pa janm kase.
None of them gets tired or stumbles; none of them rests or sleeps. No belt comes loose, and no sandal strap breaks.
28 Flèch li yo file e tout banza li yo fin koube; pye cheval li yo parèt kon pyè silèks, e wou cha li yo tankou toubiyon.
Their arrows are already sharpened, and all their bows have been strung. The hooves of their horses are hard as flint; their chariot wheels spin like a whirlwind.
29 Kri gwonde li tankou yon lyon e vwa li tankou jèn lyon; li fè gwo bri pandan l ap sezi viktim li an e pote l ale kote nanpwen moun pou delivre li.
They roar like lions, like young lions. They growl, and pounce on their prey. They drag it off so it can't be rescued.
30 Epi li va gwonde sou li nan jou sa a tankou gwo bri lanmè. Si yon moun anwò dlo ta gade vè latè; men gade, tout fènwa ak gwo twoub. Menm limyè fènwa akoz nwaj li yo.
At that time they will roar over their prey like the roaring of the sea. Anyone who looks out over the land will see only darkness and distress—even the sunlight will be darkened by clouds.
