< Ezayi 37 >
And it was when heard the king Hezekiah and he tore clothes his and he covered himself with sackcloth and he went [the] house of Yahweh.
2 Li te voye Éliakim ki te chèf nan kay la avèk Schebna, grefye a ak ansyen a prèt yo, kouvri ak sak twal, kote Ésaïe, pwofèt la, fis a Amots la.
And he sent Eliakim who [was] over the house and - Shebna the scribe and [the] elders of the priests covered with sackcloth to Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet.
3 Yo te di l: “Men konsa pale Ézéchias: ‘Jou sa a se yon jou gwo malè, repwòch ak rejè; paske pitit yo rive nan lè pou yo fèt e nanpwen fòs pou akouche yo.
And they said to him thus he says Hezekiah [is] a day of distress and rebuke and insult the day this for they have come children to birth and [is] strength there not for giving birth.
Perhaps he will hear Yahweh God your - [the] words of [the] chief commander whom he has sent him [the] king of Assyria - master his to taunt [the] God living and he will rebuke the words which he has heard Yahweh God your and you will lift up prayer for the remnant which is found.
And they came [the] servants of the king Hezekiah to Isaiah.
6 Ésaïe te di yo: “Konsa nou va pale mèt nou an, ‘Se konsa SENYÈ a pale: “Pa pè akoz pawòl ke ou te tande yo, avèk sila sèvitè a wa Assyrie yo te blasfeme non Mwen.
And he said to them Isaiah thus you will say! to master your thus - he says Yahweh may not you be afraid of the words which you have heard which they have blasphemed [the] servants of [the] king of Assyria me.
7 Gade byen, Mwen va mete yon lespri nan li pou l tande yon rimè pou li retounen nan pwòp peyi li. Epi Mwen va fè l tonbe pa nepe nan pwòp peyi li.”’”
Here I [am] about to put in him a spirit and he will hear a report and he will return to own land his and I will make fall him by the sword in own land his.
And he returned [the] chief commander and he found [the] king of Assyria fighting on Libnah if he had heard that he had departed from Lachish.
9 Lè li menm, wa Assyrie a tande yo pale de Tirhaka, wa Cush la: “Li te parèt deyò pou goumen kont nou,” epi lè l tande sa, li te voye mesaje yo kote Ézéchias e te di:
And he heard on Tirhakah [the] king of Cush saying he has come out to do battle with you and he heard and he sent messengers to Hezekiah saying.
10 “Konsa ou va di a Ézéchias, wa a Juda a: ‘Pa kite Bondye ou a nan sila ou mete konfyans ou an pase ou anba rizib pou di ou: “Jérusalem p ap bay nan men wa Assyrie a.”
Thus you will say! to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah saying may not he deceive you God your whom you [are] trusting in him saying not it will be given Jerusalem in [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
11 Gade byen, ou te tande sa ke wa Assyrie yo te fè a tout peyi yo, ke yo te detwi yo nèt. Konsa, èske ou va chape?
Here! - you you have heard [that] which they have done [the] kings of Assyria to all the lands by totally destroying them and you will you be delivered?
¿ Did they deliver them [the] gods of the nations which they destroyed ancestors my Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and [the] people of Eden who [were] in Telassar.
Where? [is] [the] king of Hamath and [the] king of Arpad and [the] king of Lair Sepharvaim Hena and Ivvah.
14 Ézéchias te pran lèt la nan men mesaje a, li te li li. Konsa, li te monte lakay SENYÈ a, e li te ouvri li devan SENYÈ a.
And he took Hezekiah the letters from [the] hand of the messengers and he read it and he went up [the] house of Yahweh and he spread out it Hezekiah before Yahweh.
15 Ézéchias te priye a SENYÈ a e te di:
And he prayed Hezekiah to Yahweh saying.
16 “O SENYÈ dèzame yo, Bondye Israël la, ki chita sou twòn li anwo cheriben yo, Ou se Bondye a, Ou menm sèl, sou tout wayòm latè yo. Ou te fè syèl la ak latè a.
O Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel [who] sits the cherubim you he [are] God to alone you of all [the] kingdoms of the earth you you have made the heavens and the earth.
17 Panche zòrèy Ou, O SENYÈ pou tande. Ouvri zye Ou, O SENYÈ pou Ou wè. Koute byen tout pawòl ke Sanchérib te voye pou repwoche Bondye vivan an.
Incline O Yahweh - ear your and hear open O Yahweh eyes your and see and hear all [the] words of Sennacherib which he has sent to taunt [the] God living.
18 Anverite O SENYÈ, wa Assyrie yo te detwi tout peyi yo ak tout tè pa yo.
Truly O Yahweh they have made desolate [the] kings of Assyria all the lands and land their.
19 Epi li te jete dye pa yo nan dife, paske se pa t dye yo te ye, men zèv ki te fèt pa men a lòm, ak bwa ak wòch. Konsa yo te detwi yo.
And they have put gods their in the fire for not [were] gods they that except [the] work of [the] hands of a person wood and stone and they destroyed them.
20 Koulye a, O SENYÈ, Bondye nou an, delivre nou soti nan men l pou tout wayòm latè yo ka konnen ke Ou menm sèl SENYÈ a, se Bondye.”
And now O Yahweh God our save us from hand his so they may know all [the] kingdoms of the earth that you [are] Yahweh to alone you.
21 Ésaïe, fis a Amots la te voye kote Ézéchias e te di: “Konsa pale SENYÈ a, Bondye Israël la, ‘Akoz nou te priye a Mwen menm sou Sanchérib, wa Assyrie a,
And he sent Isaiah [the] son of Amoz to Hezekiah saying thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel that you have prayed to me concerning Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria.
22 men pawòl ke SENYÈ a fin pale kont li: Fi vyèj a Sion an desann ou nèt! Li pa bay ou valè. Fi a Jérusalem nan souke tèt li devan w!
This [is] the word which he has spoken Yahweh on him she has despised you she has mocked you [the] virgin of [the] daughter of Zion behind you a head she has shaken [the] daughter of Jerusalem.
23 Se kilès ou te meprize e blasfeme? Kont kilès ou te leve vwa ou, e kont kilès ou te leve zye ou ak ògèy la? Kont Sila Ki Sen an Israël la!
Whom? have you taunted and have you blasphemed? and on whom? have you raised a voice and have you lifted up? height eyes your against [the] holy [one] of Israel.
24 Ak sèvitè ou yo, ou te meprize SENYÈ a! Ou te di: ‘Ak tout cha mwen yo, mwen te monte sou wotè a mòn yo, kote pi izole nan Liban yo. Epi mwen va koupe bwa sèd li yo ak tout bwa pichpen pi bèl yo. Mwen va monte kote tèt mòn pi wo li a, nan forè pi bèl li yo.
By [the] hand of servants your you have taunted - [the] Lord and you have said with [the] abundance of chariotry my I I have gone up [the] height[s] of mountains [the] remotest parts of Lebanon so I may cut down [the] height of cedars its [the] choicest of pines its so I may come [to the] height of end its [the] forest of orchard its.
25 Mwen te fouye pwi yo, mwen te bwè dlo yo e ak pla pye mwen, mwen fè tout rivyè an Égypte yo vin sèch.’”
I I have dug and I have drunk water so I may dry up with [the] sole of feet my all [the] canals of Egypt.
Koulye a Mwen fin fè l rive, pou ou ta fè gwo vil fòtifye yo vin tounen gwo pil mazi.
¿ Not have you heard from distant [time] it I appointed from days of antiquity and I planned it now I have brought it and you are [about] to make desolate heaps ruined cities fortified.
And inhabitants their [were] short of hand they were dismayed and they were ashamed they were [the] vegetation of [the] field and [the] greenery of vegetation grass of roofs and a field before standing grain.
28 Men Mwen konnen lè ou chita ak lè ou sòti, lè ou antre ak lè ou fè laraj kont Mwen.
And sitting down your and going out you and coming in you I know and raging you against me.
Because raging you against me and arrogance your it has come up in ears my and I will put hook my in nose your and bridle my on lips your and I will turn back you by the way which you came by it.
30 “Epi sa va sign pou ou: ou va manje ane sa a sa ki grandi pou li, nan dezyèm ane sa ki vin parèt menm jan an. Nan twazyèm ane a, plante, rekòlte, plante chan rezen yo e manje fwi yo.
And this for you [will be] the sign you will eat this year self-sown grain and in the year second self-seeded plant[s] and in the year third sow and reap and plant vineyards (and eat *Q(K)*) fruit their.
31 Retay lakay Juda ki chape a va ankò pran rasin anba pou donnen fwi anlè.
And it will add [the] escaped remnant of [the] house of Judah which remains a root downwards and it will produce fruit upwards.
32 Paske soti nan Jérusalem, va vin parèt yon retay e sòti nan Mòn Sion, kèk moun ki chape. Zèl kouraj SENYÈ a va akonpli sa a.”
For from Jerusalem it will go out a remnant and an escaped remnant from [the] mountain of Zion [the] zeal of Yahweh of hosts it will accomplish this.
33 “Pou sa” pale SENYÈ a, pale konsènan wa Assyrie a konsa: “Li p ap rive nan vil sa a, ni tire yon flèch la. Li p ap parèt devan l ak boukliye, ni monte yon ran syèj kont li.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh concerning [the] king of Assyria not he will come into the city this and not he will shoot there an arrow and not he will confront it a shield and not he will pour out on it a mound.
34 Pa menm chemen ke li te vini an, pa li menm li va retounen e li p ap rive sou vil sa a,’ deklare SENYÈ a.
By the way which he came by it he will return and into the city this not he will come [the] utterance of Yahweh.
35 ‘Paske Mwen va defann vil sa a pou sove li pou pwòp koz pa M, e pou koz sèvitè Mwen an, David.’”
And I will defend the city this to deliver it for own sake my and for [the] sake of David servant my.
36 Epi zanj SENYÈ a te sòti deyò e te frape san-katre-ven-senk-mil lòm nan kan Asiryen yo. Lè moun te leve bonè granmmaten, gade byen, yo tout te mouri.
And he went out - [the] angel of Yahweh and he struck down in [the] camp of Assyria one hundred and eighty and five thousand and they rose early in the morning and there! all of them [were] corpses dead.
37 Konsa, Sanchérib, wa Assyrie a te sòti, te retounen lakay li e te rete Ninive.
And he set out and he went and he returned Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and he remained in Nineveh.
38 Li te vin rive pandan li t ap adore lakay Nisroc, dye pa li a, ke Adrammélec ak Scharetser, fis li yo, te touye li ak nepe e yo te chape antre nan peyi Ararat. Konsa, Ésar-Haddon, fis li a, te renye nan plas li.
And it was he [was] bowing down [the] house of - Nisroch god his and Adrammelech and Sharezer sons his they struck down him with the sword and they they escaped [the] land of Ararat and he reigned Esar-haddon son his in place his.
