< Ezayi 32 >
1 Gade byen, yon wa va renye ak ladwati e prens yo va renye ak jistis.
For, behold, a righteous king shall reign, and princes shall govern with judgment.
2 Yon nonm va tankou yon abri kont van ak yon pwotèj kont tanpèt, tankou sous dlo nan yon peyi sèch, tankou lonbraj a yon gwo wòch nan yon peyi ki deseche.
And a man shall hide his words, and be hidden, as from rushing water, and shall appear in Sion as a rushing river, glorious in a thirsty land.
3 Alò, zye a sila ki wè yo, p ap vin avegle; zòrèy a sila ki tande yo, va koute.
And they shall no more trust in men, but they shall incline their ears to hear.
4 Kè a sila ki aji san reflechi a va konprann verite, e lang lan a sila ki bege a va pale klè.
And the heart of the weak ones shall attend to hear, and the stammering tongues shall soon learn to speak peace.
5 Li p ap rive ankò ke yo rele moun fou, prens; ni rele vakabon, moun bon kè.
And they shall no more at all tell a fool to rule, and thy servants shall no more at all say, Be silent.
6 Paske moun fou a pale foli, e kè li apiye vè mechanste: pou fè sa ki kont Bondye e pale mal kont SENYÈ a, pou kenbe moun grangou a san satisfè, e pou anpeche moun swaf la bwè.
For the fool shall speak foolish words, and his heart shall meditate vanities, and to perform lawless deeds and to speak error against the Lord, to scatter hungry souls, and he will cause the thirsty souls to be empty.
7 Pou vakabon an, zam li se mechanste. Li fòme plan mechan pou detwi moun aflije a ak kout lang, malgre sila ki nan bezwen an pale sa ki bon.
For the counsel of the wicked will devise iniquity, to destroy the poor with unjust words, and ruin the cause of the poor in judgment.
8 Men sila ki prens toujou fòme plan ki bèl; epi pa bèl plan an, ap kanpe.
But the godly have devised wise [measures], and this counsel shall stand.
9 Leve ou menm, O fanm ki alèz e tande vwa mwen! Prete zòrèy a pawòl mwen, fi ki alèz, san pwoblèm yo.
Rise up, ye rich women, and hear my voice; ye confident daughters, hearken to my words.
10 Nan yon ane ak kèk jou, nou va twouble, O fi ki san pridans yo; paske, afè fwi diven an va fini, ni rekòlt la p ap rive.
Remember for a full year in pain, yet with hope: the vintage has been cut off; it has ceased, it shall by no means come again.
11 Tranble, fanm alèz yo; twouble, nou menm ki san pridans! Retire rad nou, dezabiye nou e mete twal sak nan senti nou.
Be amazed, be pained, ye confident ones: strip you, bare yourselves, gird your loins;
12 Bat lestomak nou pou bèl chan jaden yo, pou chan ki plen ak fwi rezen yo.
and beat your breasts, because of the pleasant field, and the fruit of the vine.
13 Anplispou peyi a pèp mwen an, kote pikan ak raje va pouse monte; wi pou tout kay plen ak jwa yo ak gran vil kè kontan yo.
[As for] the land of my people, the thorn and grass shall come upon [it], and joy shall be removed from every house.
14 Paske palè a vin vid, e gran vil plen moun yo vin abandone. Kolin ak fò ki wo yo vin tounen kav yo jis pou tout tan, yon plezi pou bourik mawon, yon patiraj pou bann mouton yo;
[As for] the rich city, the houses are deserted; they shall abandon the wealth of the city, [and] the pleasant houses: and the villages shall be caves for ever, the joy of wild asses, shepherds' pastures;
15 jiskaske Lespri a vide sou nou soti anwo, epi savann nan vin fè yon chan fètil, e chan fètil la va vin konsidere kon yon forè.
until the Spirit shall come upon you from on high, and Chermel shall be desert, and Chermel shall be counted for a forest.
16 Nan lè sa a lajistis va demere nan dezè a e ladwati nan chan fètil la.
Then judgment shall abide in the wilderness, and righteousness shall dwell in Carmel.
17 Epi zèv ladwati a va lapè, e sèvis ladwati a va kalm ak konfyans k ap dire jis pou tout tan.
And the works of righteousness shall be peace; and righteousness shall ensure rest, and [the righteous] shall be confident for ever.
18 Nan lè sa a, pèp mwen an va viv nan yon abitasyon lapè, ak sekirite ki san twoub nan plas repo san pwoblèm.
And his people shall inhabit a city of peace, and dwell in [it] in confidence, and they shall rest with wealth.
19 Malgre lagrèl tonbe kraze forè a, e gran vil la va vin devaste nèt.
And if the hail should come down, it shall not come upon you; and they that dwell in the forests shall be in confidence, as those in the plain country.
20 A la beni nou va beni, nou menm ki simen akote tout dlo yo, ki lage pye bèf ak bourik la.
Blessed are they that sow by every water, where the ox and ass tread.
