< Oze 9 >
1 Pa rejwi, O Israël, ak lajwa kon nasyon yo! Paske ou te fè pwostitisyon. Ou te abandone Bondye ou a. Ou te renmen salè kòb ki konn ranmase sou nenpòt glasi vannen.
Rejoice not, O Israel, neither make merry, as [other] nations: for thou hast gone a-whoring from thy God; thou hast loved gifts upon every threshing-floor.
2 Glasi vannen a ak pèz diven an p ap nouri yo, e diven nèf la va fè yo vin twonpe.
The threshing-floor and wine-press knew them not, and the wine disappointed them.
3 Yo p ap rete nan peyi SENYÈ a, men Éphraïm va retounen an Égypte, e yo va manje sa ki pa pwòp an Assyrie.
They dwelt not in the Lord's land: Ephraim dwelt in Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things among the Assyrians.
4 Yo p ap vide ofrann bwason diven a SENYÈ a, Ni yo p ap fè L plezi. Sakrifis yo va tankou pen moun ki fè dèy pou mò. Tout moun ki manje ladan va vin souye, paske pen pa yo va sèlman pou plen vant yo. Li p ap antre lakay SENYÈ a.
They have not offered wine to the Lord, neither have their sacrifices been sweet to him, [but] as the bread of mourning to them; all that eat them shall be defiled; for their bread for their soul shall not enter into the house of the Lord.
5 Kisa ou va fè nan jou fèt apwente a, ak nan jou a fèt SENYÈ a?
What will ye do in the day of the general assembly, and in the day of the feast of the Lord?
6 Paske, gade byen, lè yo pran flit devan destriksyon, Égypte va ranmase yo. Moph va antere yo. Se machacha k ap vin pran trezò ajan yo. Se bwa pikan k ap fè tant yo.
Therefore, behold, they go forth from the trouble of Egypt, and Memphis shall receive them, and Machmas shall bury them: [as for] their silver, destruction shall inherit it; thorns [shall be] in their tents.
7 Jou pinisyon yo gen tan rive. Jou jijman yo gen tan rive. Israël va konsidere Pwofèt la kon yon moun fou, moun ki gen gwo limyè a kon plen ak foli, akoz inikite ou yo tèlman vin anpil, e akoz rayisman ou yo vin tèlman gran.
The days of vengeance are come, the days of thy recompense are come; and Israel shall be afflicted as the prophet that is mad, as a man deranged: by reason of the multitude of thine iniquities thy madness has abounded.
8 Yon pwofèt veye sou Éphraïm avèk Bondye mwen an. Yon pèlen moun pou kapte se nan tout chemen li yo, e se sèl mepriz li twouve lakay Bondye li a.
The watchman of Ephraim [was] with God: the prophet is a crooked snare in all his ways: they have established madness in the house of God.
9 Yo antre tèt yo byen fon nan koripsyon, tankou nan jou a Guibea yo. Li va sonje inikite yo. Li va pini peche yo.
They have corrupted themselves according to the days of the hill: he will remember their iniquities, he will take vengeance on their sins.
10 Mwen te twouve Israël tankou rezen yo nan dezè. Mwen te wè papa zansèt nou yo tankou premye fwi sou pye fig nan premye sezon li. Men yo te rive kote Baal-Peor; yo te konsakre tèt yo a gwo wont, e yo te vin abominab menm jan ak sila ke yo te renmen a.
I found Israel as grapes in the wilderness, and I saw their fathers as an early watchman in a fig-tree: they went in to Beel-phegor, and were shamefully estranged, and the abominable became as the beloved.
11 Pou Éphraïm glwa yo va vole ale kon zwazo. P ap gen ni nesans, ni ansent, ni konsepsyon.
Ephraim has flown away as a bird; their glories from the birth, and the travail, and the conception.
12 Malgre yo leve pwòp pitit yo, Mwen va prive yo de yo, jiskaske pa gen yon moun ki rete. Wi, anverite malè a yo menm, lè Mwen kite yo!
For even if they should rear their children, yet shall they be utterly bereaved: wherefore also there is woe to them, [though] my flesh is of them.
13 Mwen wè Éphraïm, jan Mwen te wè Tyr la, plante nan yon bèl chan; men Éphraïm va fè parèt ak pitit li yo pou gran masak la.
Ephraim, [even] as I saw, gave their children for a prey; yea, Ephraim [was ready] to bring out his children to slaughter.
14 Bay yo!—O SENYÈ! Kisa Ou va bay yo? Bay yo yon ti vant foskouch ak tete sèch.
Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give them? a miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.
15 Tout mechanste yo se nan Guilgal; Anverite se la Mwen te rayi yo! Akoz mechanste a zak yo, Mwen va chase yo sòti lakay Mwen. Mwen p ap renmen yo ankò; tout prens yo se rebèl.
All their wickedness is in Galgal: for there I hated them: because of the wickedness of their practices, I will cast them out of my house, I will not love them any more: all their princes are disobedient.
16 Éphraïm vin frape. Rasin yo vin sèch. Yo p ap bay fwi. Menm si yo ka fè pitit, Mwen va touye fwi byeneme a vant yo a.
Ephraim is sick, he is dried up at his roots, he shall in no wise any more bear fruit: wherefore even if they should beget [children], I will kill the desired [fruit] of their womb.
17 Bondye mwen an va jete yo deyò akoz yo pa t koute Li; epi yo va vin vagabon pami nasyon yo.
God shall reject them, because they have not hearkened to him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
