< Oze 13 >

1 Lè Éphraïm te pale, te gen tranbleman. Li te leve tèt li wo an Israël; men ak Baal, li te fè mal, e li te mouri.
“When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling. He exalted himself in Israel, but he became guilty because of Baal worship, and he died.
2 Epi koulye a, yo peche plis toujou, e yo fè pou tèt yo imaj fonn an ajan, menm zidòl yo selon jan yo konprann. Yo tout se zèv a mèt ouvriye yo ye. Yo di a yo menm: “Yo ofri sakrifis imen yo, e bo ti bèf yo!”
Now they sin more and more. They make cast metal figures from their silver, idols as skillfully worked as possible, all of them the work of the craftsmen. People say of them, 'These men who sacrifice kiss calves.'
3 Akoz sa, yo va tankou nwaj nan maten an ak lawouze k ap disparèt bonè, tankou pay ke van pote ale soti nan glasi vannen, e tankou Lafimen soti nan chemine.
So they will be like the morning clouds, like the dew that goes away early, like the chaff that is driven by the wind away from a threshing floor, and like smoke out of a chimney.
4 Malgre sa, Mwen se SENYÈ, Bondye ou, depi nan peyi Égypte la; epi ou pa pou konnen okenn dye sof ke Mwen; paske nanpwen sovè sof ke Mwen.
But I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me; you must acknowledge that besides me, there is no other savior.
5 Mwen te pran swen ou nan dezè a, nan peyi sechrès la.
I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of great dryness.
6 Lè yo te vin jwenn patiraj yo, yo te vin satisfè; yo te vin satisfè e kè yo te vin ògeye. Konsa, yo te bliye Mwen.
When you had pasture, then you became full; and when you were filled, your heart became lifted up. For that reason you forgot me.
7 Akoz sa, Mwen va vin tankou yon lyon anvè yo. Kon yon leyopa, Mwen va kouche an kachèt bò chemen an.
I will become like a lion to them; like a leopard I will watch along the path.
8 Mwen va rankontre yo kon yon lous ki fenk fin pèdi pitit li, e mwen va chire lestomak yo nèt. Sou plas, Mwen va devore yo tankou yon manman lyon, jan yon bèt sovaj ta chire yo.
I will attack them as a bear that is robbed of her cubs. I will rip open their chests, and there I will devour them as a lion, as a wild beast would tear them to pieces.
9 Se destriksyon pa w, O Israël! Akoz ou kont Mwen, kont sekou ou.
I will destroy you, Israel; who will be able to help you?
10 Kote wa ou a koulye a, pou li ta ka sove ou nan tout vil ou yo? Ak jij ke ou te mande yo: “Ban mwen yon wa ak prens yo”?
Where now is your king, that he may save you in all your cities? Where are your rulers, about whom you said to me, 'Give me a king and princes'?
11 Mwen te bay ou yon wa nan kòlè Mwen, e Mwen te fè l soti nan kòlè Mwen.
I gave you a king in my anger, and I took him away in my wrath.
12 Inikite a Éphraïm vin ogmante nèt; peche li vin mete nan depo.
Ephraim's iniquity has been stored up; his guilt has been stored up.
13 Doulè a yon fanm k ap pouse pitit va vini sou li; se pa yon fis ki saj, k ap rete nan vant ki ouvri e k ap tann li soti a.
Pains of childbirth will come on him, but he is an unwise son, for when it is time to be born, he does not come out of the womb.
14 Mwen va rachte yo soti anba pouvwa a Sejou mò yo; mwen va rachte yo soti anba lanmò. O lanmò! Kote pikan ou yo? O Sejou mò yo! Kote destriksyon ou an? Repantans va vin kache devan zye M. (Sheol h7585)
Will I rescue them from the hand of Sheol? Will I rescue them from death? Where, death, are your plagues? Where, Sheol, is your destruction? Compassion is hidden from my eyes.” (Sheol h7585)
15 Malgre li pote fwi pami frè li yo, yon van nan lès va vini; van SENYÈ a k ap monte soti nan dezè a. Sous dlo li va vin sèch, e fontèn dlo li va seche. Li va piyaje trezò tout bagay ki gen valè.
Though Ephraim is prosperous among his brothers, an east wind will come; the wind of Yahweh will blow in from the wilderness. Ephraim's spring will dry up, and his well will have no water. His enemy will plunder his storehouse of every precious object.
16 Samarie va pote koupabilite li, paske li te fè rebèl kont Bondye li a. Yo va tonbe pa nepe. Timoun piti yo va vin kraze an mòso, epi fanm ansent yo va vin dechire nèt.
Samaria will be guilty, for she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword; their young children will be dashed to pieces, and their pregnant women will be ripped open.
