< Ezekyèl 26 >
1 Alò, nan onzyèm ane, nan premye nan mwa a, pawòl SENYÈ a te vin kote mwen. Li te di:
And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 “Fis a lòm, akoz Tyr te di konsènan Jérusalem: ‘Ha ha! Gade byen, pòtay a pèp yo fin kraze; koulye a l ap remet nan men m. Mwen va vin ranpli koulye a akoz li devaste nèt;’
Son of man, because Tyre hath said concerning Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people; she is turned unto me; I shall be made full, now she is laid in ruins:
3 akoz sa, pale Senyè BONDYE a: ‘Gade byen, Mwen vin kont ou, O Tyr, e Mwen va mennen fè monte anpil nasyon kont ou, tankou lanmè mennen lanm li.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I am against thee, O Tyre, and will bring up against thee many nations, as the sea causeth its waves to come up.
4 Yo va detwi miray a Tyr e demoli tou wo li yo. Anplis, Mwen va grate retire ranblè li yo, e fè l vin yon wòch vid.
And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and pull down her towers: I will also flood away her earth from her, and I will change her into a naked rock.
5 Li va vin yon kote pou ouvri filè nan mitan lanmè a, paske Mwen te pale,’ deklare Senyè BONDYE a. ‘Konsa, li va vin piyaj pou nasyon yo.
A place for the spreading out of nets shall she be in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Eternal: and she shall become a spoil to the nations.
6 Anplis, fi li yo ki lòtbò pi gwo teren an va vin touye pa nepe e yo va konnen ke Mwen se SENYÈ a.’
And her daughters that are in the field shall be slain with the sword: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
7 “Paske konsa pale Senyè BONDYE a: ‘Gade byen, Mwen va mennen sou Tyr soti nan nò Nebucadnetsar, wa Babylone nan, wadèwa a, ak cheval, cha, kavalye ak yon gwo lame.
For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will bring against Tyre Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, from the north, the king of kings, with horses, and with chariot's, and with horsemen, and an assemblage, and a numerous people.
8 Li va touye fi ou yo sou gwo chan an ak nepe. Li va fè miray syèj kont ou, fè monte yon ran kont ou e fè monte yon gwo boukliye kont ou.
Thy daughters in the field will he slay with the sword: and he shall place around thee works of attack, and cast up against thee a mound, and erect against thee a target-fence.
9 Ak gwo mòso bwa fèt pou kraze a, ke l ap dirije kont miray ou yo, e ak rach li yo li va demoli tou wo ou yo.
And his catapults shall he set against thy walls, and thy towers shall he break down with his axes.
10 Akoz gwo fòs kantite cheval li yo, pousyè leve la yo va kouvri ou. Miray ou yo va souke ak bri kavalye, ak charyo ak cha yo lè l ap antre nan pòtay ou yo tankou lè moun ap antre nan yon vil lè yo fin fè brèch ladann.
By reason of the abundance of his horses shall the dust they raise cover thee: by reason of the noise of horsemen, and wheels, and chariots, shall thy walls quake, when he entereth into thy gates, as men enter into a city that is broken in.
11 Ak zago cheval li yo, li va foule tout lari ou yo nèt. Li va touye moun ou yo ak nepe. Gwo pilye lafòs ou yo va tonbe atè.
With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: thy people will he slay with the sword, and the statues of thy strength shall come down to the ground.
12 Anplis, yo va fè piyaj a tout richès ak machandiz ou yo. Yo va kraze mi ou yo, detwi bèl kay ou yo, e jete wòch ak, poto bwa yo ak tout ranblè ou yo nan dlo.
And they shall plunder thy riches, and make a spoil of thy merchandise; and they shall break down thy walls, and thy pleasure-houses shall they pull down: and thy stones and thy timber and thy earth shall they throw into the midst of the water.
13 Konsa, Mwen va fè son a chante ou yo vin sispann, e son ap ou yo p ap tande ankò.
And I will cause the sound of thy songs to cease: and the tones of thy harps shall not be heard any more.
14 Mwen va fè ou yon wòch vid. Ou va sèvi kon yon kote pou ouvri filè. Ou p ap bati ankò, paske Mwen, SENYÈ a te pale’, deklare Senyè BONDYE a.
And I will change thee into a naked rock; a place to spread out nets upon shalt thou be; thou shalt not be rebuilt any more; for I the Lord have spoken it, saith the Lord Eternal.
15 “Konsa pale Senyè BONDYE a a Tyr: ‘Èske peyi kot lanmè yo pa ta souke menm nan son chit ou a lè sila ki blese yo plenn nan gòj yo, lè masak fèt nan mitan nou?
Thus hath said the Lord Eternal to Tyre, Truly at the noise of thy fall, when the deadly wounded whine, when the slaughter taketh place in the midst of thee, shall the islands quake.
16 Nan lè sa a, tout prens lanmè yo va desann soti nan twòn yo retire wòb yo, e menm retire bèl vètman bwodri yo. Yo va abiye tèt yo ak men yo k ap tranble; yo va chita atè, ap tranble tout tan e vin efreye akoz de ou.
Then shall all the princes of the sea come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and their broidered garments shall they put off: with trembling shall they clothe themselves; upon the ground shall they sit, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished concerning thee.
17 Yo va leve yon lamantasyon sou ou e di ou: “Gade kijan ou vin peri, O sila ki te plen moun nan, Soti sou lanmè yo, O gwo vil byen renome ki te pwisan sou lanmè, li menm ak tout moun ki te rete ladann yo, ki te enpoze gwo laperèz li sou tout abitan li yo!”
And they shall lift up over thee a lamentation, and say to thee, How art thou lost, that wast inhabited [safely] by reason of the seas: O renowned city, which was strong on the sea, she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all that dwelt around her!
18 Koulye a, peyi bò lanmè yo va tranble nan jou chit ou a. Wi, peyi kot ki bò lanmè yo va vin etone jiskaske yo tranble akoz ou vin disparèt.’
Now shall the isles tremble on the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy end.
19 “Paske konsa pale Senyè BONDYE a: “Lè Mwen fè ou vin yon vil dezole, kon vil ki pa gen moun yo, lè Mwen mennen pwofondè a sou ou pou gwo dlo vin kouvri ou,
For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, When I render thee a ruined city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I bring up over thee the deep, and when the great waters cover thee:
20 konsa, Mwen va fè ou desann ak sila ki desann nan twou fòs la, al jwenn pèp ansyen yo. Mwen va fè ou rete nan pati ki piba sou tè a, tankou ansyen kote dezole yo, ak sila ki desann nan twou fòs la, pou ou pa menm gen moun ki abite nan ou. Men Mwen va mete laglwa nan peyi a vivan yo.
Then will I bring thee down with those that descend into the pit, unto the people of olden time, and I will cause thee to dwell in the land of the nether world, among ruins of ancient days, with those that go down to the pit, in order that thou mayest not be inhabited; but I will bestow glory in the land of life.
21 Mwen va mennen gwo laperèz sou ou e ou p ap egziste ankò. Malgre y ap chache ou, yo p ap janm jwenn ou ankò’, deklare Senyè BONDYE a.”
As though thou hadst not been will I render thee, and thou shalt be no more: and thou shalt be sought for, but thou shalt never be found any more to eternity, saith the Lord Eternal.
