< 2 Istwa 32 >
1 Apre zak fidelite sila yo, Sanchérib, wa Assyrie a, te vin atake Juda. Li te fè syèj a tout vil fòtifye yo, e li te fè plan pou pouse antre nan yo pou l domine yo pou kont li.
After the matters and the faithfulness these he came Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and he came in Judah and he encamped on the cities fortified and he said to break into them to himself.
2 Alò, lè Ézéchias te wè ke Sanchérib te vini, e ke li te gen plan pou fè lagè sou Jérusalem,
And he saw Hezekiah that he had come Sennacherib and face his [was] for war on Jerusalem.
And he took counsel with officials his and mighty [men] his to stop up [the] waters of the springs which [were] from [the] outside of the city and they helped him.
And they assembled people numerous and they stopped up all the springs and the wadi which flowed in [the] middle of the land saying why? will they come [the] kings of Assyria and they will find waters many.
5 Konsa, li te pran kouraj, e te rebati tout mi ki te kraze yo e te fè yo monte nan nivo tou li yo. Li te ranfòse lòt miray pa deyò pou te fè Millo lavil David la pi solid, e li te fè zam avèk boukliye defans an gran kantite.
And he strengthened himself and he rebuilt all the city wall which was broken down and he put up on the towers and to the outside the city wall another and he strengthened the Millo [the] city of David and he made weapon[s] to abundance and shields.
And he appointed commanders of wars over the people and he assembled them to himself to [the] open place of [the] gate of the city and he spoke to heart their saying.
7 “Rete fò e pran kouraj, pa pè ni dekouraje akoz wa Assyrie a, ni tout gran foul ki avèk l; paske sila ki avèk nou an pi gran ke sila ki avè l.
Be strong and be courageous may not you be afraid and may not you be dismayed because of [the] king of Assyria and from before all the multitude which [is] with him for [is] with us [one] great more than with him.
8 Avèk li menm, se yon bra fèt an chè; men avèk nou, se SENYÈ Bondye pa nou an, pou ede nou goumen nan batay nou yo.” Konsa, pèp la te konte sou pawòl a Ézéchias yo, wa Juda a.
[is] with Him an arm of flesh and [is] with us Yahweh God our to help us and to fight battles our and they supported themselves the people on [the] words of Hezekiah [the] king of Judah.
9 Apre sa Sanchérib, wa Assyrie a, te voye sèvitè li yo Jérusalem pandan li t ap fè syèj Lakis avèk tout lame li a avèk li kont Ézéchias, wa Juda a, e kont tout Juda ki Jérusalem yo. Li te di:
After this he sent Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria servants his Jerusalem towards and he [was] at Lachish and all imperial might his [was] with him to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and to all Judah which [was] in Jerusalem saying.
10 Konsa pale Sanchérib, wa Assyrie a: “Sou kilès n ap mete konfyans pou nou ta retire Jérusalem anba syèj?
Thus he says Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria on what? [are] you relying and remaining in siege in Jerusalem.
11 Èske Ézéchias p ap egare nou pou fè nou vin mouri avèk grangou ak swaf, pandan l ap di: ‘SENYÈ a, Bondye nou an, va delivre nou soti nan men a wa Assyrie a?’
¿ Not [is] Hezekiah misleading you to give you to die by hunger and by thirst saying Yahweh God our he will deliver us from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
12 Èske menm Ézéchias sa a pa t retire wo plas Li yo avèk lotèl Li yo, e te di a Juda avèk Jérusalem: ‘Nou va adore devan yon sèl lotèl e sou li, nou va brile lansan?’
¿ Not that Hezekiah did he remove high places his and altars his and did he say? to Judah and to Jerusalem saying before an altar one you will bow down and on it you will make smoke.
Èske dye nan nasyon yo te gen kapasite menm pou delivre peyi yo anba men mwen?
¿ Not do you know what? have I done I and fathers my to all [the] peoples of the lands ¿ really were they able [the] gods of [the] nations of the lands to deliver land their from hand my.
14 Kilès ki te gen pami tout dye a nasyon sila yo ke zansèt mwen yo pa t detwi nèt, ki ta kapab delivre pèp li a sòti nan men m pou Dye pa w la ta kapab delivre ou soti nan men m?
Who? among all [the] gods of the nations these which they totally destroyed fathers my [is one] which it was able to deliver people its from hand my that he will be able God your to deliver you from hand my.
15 Alò, pou sa, pa kite Ézéchias pase nou nan tenten, ni egare nou konsa. Ni pa kwè li, paske pa t gen dye nan okenn nasyon oswa wayòm ki te konn delivre pèp li nan men m ni soti nan men a zansèt mwen yo. Konbyen an mwens Dye pa nou an va delivre nou soti nan men m?”
And therefore may not he deceive you Hezekiah and may not he mislead you like this and may not you believe him for not it has been able any god of any nation and kingdom to deliver people its from hand my and from [the] hand of fathers my indeed? for gods your not they will deliver you from hand my.
16 Sèvitè li yo te pale plis kont SENYÈ a, Bondye a, e kont sèvitè li a, Ézéchias.
And again they spoke servants his on Yahweh God and on Hezekiah servant his.
17 Anplis, li te ekri lèt yo pou meprize SENYÈ a, Bondye Israël la, e pou pale kont Li, epi li te di: “Jan dye nasyon yo ak peyi yo pa t delivre pèp pa yo soti nan men m, konsa Bondye Ézéchias la p ap delivre pèp Li a soti nan men m.”
And letters he wrote to taunt Yahweh [the] God of Israel and to say on him saying like [the] gods of [the] nations of the lands which not they delivered people their from hand my so not he will deliver [the] God of Hezekiah people his from hand my.
18 Yo te kriye sa byen fò ak gwo vwa nan langaj a Juda, vè pèp Jérusalem ki te sou miray la, pou fè yo pè e teworize yo, pou yo ta kab pran vil la.
And they called out with a voice great [in] Judean to [the] people of Jerusalem which [was] on the wall to make afraid them and to terrify them so that they may capture the city.
19 Yo te pale sou Bondye Jérusalem nan kòmsi se youn nan dye a pèp lemond yo, zèv a men de lòm yo.
And they spoke concerning [the] God of Jerusalem as on [the] gods of [the] peoples of the land [the] work of [the] hands of humankind.
20 Men Wa Ézéchias avèk pwofèt Ésaïe, fis a Amots la, te fè lapriyè sou sa a, e te kriye fò anvè syèl la.
And he prayed Hezekiah the king and Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet on this and they cried out the heavens.
21 Konsa, SENYÈ a te voye yon zanj ki te detwi tout gwo gèrye, kòmandan ak chèf nan kan wa Assyrie a.
And he sent Yahweh an angel and he annihilated every mighty [man] of strength and officer and commander in [the] camp of [the] king of Assyria and he returned with shame of face to own land his and he came [the] house of god his (and some of [the] offspring of *Q(K)*) lower parts his there they made fall him by the sword.
22 Konsa, SENYÈ a te sove Ézéchias avèk moun Jérusalem yo soti nan men a Sanchérib, wa Assyrie a, soti nan men a tout ènmi li yo, e te gide yo tout kote.
And he saved Yahweh Hezekiah and - [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem from [the] hand of Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and from [the] hand of everyone and he led them from round about.
23 Epi anpil moun t ap pote don bay SENYÈ a Jérusalem ak kado byen chwazi a Ézéchias, wa Juda a, jis apre, li te fin egzalte nan men a tout nasyon yo.
And many [people] [were] bringing an offering to Yahweh to Jerusalem and excellent things to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and he was lifted up to [the] eyes of all the nations from after thus.
Li te priye a SENYÈ a. SENYÈ a te pale avèk li e te ba li yon sign.
In the days those he was sick Hezekiah until die and he prayed to Yahweh and he spoke to him and a sign he gave to him.
And not according to [the] benefit on him he repaid Hezekiah for it was haughty heart his and it was towards him wrath and towards Judah and Jerusalem.
26 Men Ézéchias te vin desann ògèy kè li a, ni li menm, ni pèp Jérusalem nan, jiskaske kòlè pa t rive sou yo pandan jou a Ézéchias yo.
And he humbled himself Hezekiah in [the] haughtiness of heart his he and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and not it came towards them [the] wrath of Yahweh in [the] days of Hezekiah.
27 Alò, Ézéchias te gen anpil richès avèk onè. Li te fè pou kont li trezò an ajan, lò, pyè presye, epis, boukliye defans ak tout kalite bagay ak gwo valè,
And it belonged to Hezekiah wealth and honor great exceedingly and treasuries he made for himself for silver and for gold and for stone[s] precious and for spices and for shields and for all articles of preciousness.
28 anplis, depo pou konsève sereyal, diven avèk lwil, pak pou tout kalite bèt, avèk pak pou bann yo.
And storehouses for [the] yield of grain and new wine and fresh oil and stalls for all livestock and livestock and flocks for the stalls.
29 Li te fè vil pou li menm, e te vin genyen bann mouton avèk twoupo an gran kantite, paske Bondye te ba li anpil richès.
And cities he made for himself and livestock of flock and herd to abundance for he had given to him God property much very.
And he Hezekiah he stopped up [the] outlet of [the] waters of Gihon upper and he directed them downwards west-ward of [the] city of David and he prospered Hezekiah in every deed his.
And thus in [the] envoys of - [the] officials of Babylon who sent to him to enquire the sign which it had happened in the land he left him God to put to [the] test him to know everything in heart his.
32 Alò, tout lòt zèv Ézéchias yo avèk zèv fidèl li yo, vwala, yo ekri nan vizyon Ésaïe, pwofèt la, fis a Amots la, nan Liv A Wa Juda Avèk Israël Yo.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Hezekiah and covenant loyalti his there they [are] written in [the] vision of Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Judah and Israel.
33 Konsa, Ézéchias te dòmi avèk papa zansèt li yo, e yo te antere li nan chemen an ki monte kote tonm fis a David yo. Tout Juda avèk pèp Jérusalem nan te onore li nan lanmò li. Fis li a, Manassé te devni wa nan plas li.
And he lay down Hezekiah with ancestors his and people buried him at [the] ascent of [the] graves of [the] descendants of David and honor they did to him at death his all Judah and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and he became king Manasseh son his in place of him.
