< 2 Istwa 31 >
When all this had finished, the Israelites who were there went to the towns of Judah and smashed the pagan pillars, cut down the Asherah poles, and destroyed the high places and altars throughout Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had completely demolished all of them. After that they all went home to their respective towns.
2 Konsa, Ézéchias te apwente divizyon a prèt yo ak Levit yo pa divizyon pa yo, yo chak selon sèvis pa yo, prèt yo avèk Levit yo pou ofrann brile avèk ofrann lapè yo, pou fè sèvis e bay remèsiman avèk lwanj nan pòtay kan SENYÈ a.
Then Hezekiah reallocated the divisions of the priests and Levites, each according to their service: presenting burnt offerings and friendship offerings, serving, giving thanks, and singing praises at the entrances of the Lord's Temple.
3 Li te etabli osi pòsyon wa a nan byen pa li pou ofrann brile yo, pou ofrann maten avèk aswè a, ofrann brile pou Saba yo, pou nouvèl lin yo e pou fèt etabli yo, jan sa ekri nan lalwa SENYÈ a.
The king contributed personally towards the morning and evening burnt offerings, and for the burnt offerings on the Sabbaths, new moons, and special feasts, as required by the Law of the Lord.
4 Anplis, li te kòmande moun ki te rete Jérusalem yo pou bay pòsyon ki te dwa a prèt yo avèk Levit yo, pou yo ta kapab dedye pwòp tèt yo a lalwa SENYÈ a.
He also ordered the people living in Jerusalem to provide for the priests and Levites so that they could dedicate themselves to studying and teaching the Law of the Lord.
5 Depi lòd la te fin gaye, fis Israël yo te mete disponib an abondans, premye fwi nan sereyal yo, diven nèf, lwil, siwo myèl ak tout pwodwi chan an; epi yo te pote an abondans dim nan de tout bagay.
As soon as the message went out, the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits of the grain, new wine, olive oil, and honey, and of all the crops. They brought plenty, a tithe of everything.
The people of Israel now living in Judah, and the people of Judah brought a tithe of their herds and flocks. They also brought a tithe of what had been dedicated to the Lord their God, and piled them up.
7 Nan twazyèm mwa a, yo te kòmanse fè pil yo e te fin fè yo nan setyèm mwa a.
They started doing this in the third month, and they finished in the seventh month.
8 Lè Ézéchias avèk chèf yo te vin wè gwo pil yo, yo te beni SENYÈ a avèk pèp Israël Li a.
When Hezekiah and his officials came and saw what had been collected, they thanked the Lord and his people Israel.
9 Epi Ézéchias te kesyone prèt yo avèk Levit yo sou gwo pil yo.
Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about what had been collected.
10 Azaria, chèf prèt lakay Tsadok la te di li: “Depi don yo te kòmanse antre lakay SENYÈ a, nou te gen kont pou nou manje avèk anpil ki te rete, paske SENYÈ a te beni pèp Li a, e gran kantite sila a rete toujou.”
Azariah, the chief priest of the family of Zadok, answered, “Ever since the people began to bring their contributions into the Lord's Temple, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare. Because the Lord has blessed his people there is so much left over.”
11 Epi Ézéchias te kòmande yo pou prepare chanm lakay SENYÈ a e yo te prepare yo.
Hezekiah ordered the construction of storehouses in the Lord's Temple. Once they were ready,
12 Yo te byen fidèl nan pote dim avèk ofrann avèk bagay konsakre yo. Epi Conania, Levit la, te ofisye an chaj sou yo, e frè l, Schimeï te dezyèm nan.
the people faithfully brought in their offerings, tithes, and dedicated gifts. Conaniah the Levite was the one who was responsible for them, and his brother Shimei was second in command.
13 Jehiel, Azazia, Nachath, Asaël, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Éliel, Jismakia, Machath avèk Benaja te anplwaye anba direksyon Conania avèk frè l, Schimeï, selon chwa Wa Ézéchias yo, e Azaria te ofisye prensipal lakay Bondye a.
They were in charge of the following officers: Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers who assisted Conaniah and Shimei his brother. They were appointed by King Hezekiah and Azariah, the chief officer of God's Temple.
14 Koré, fis a Jimna a, Levit la, gadyen pòtay lès la, te chèf sou ofrann bòn volonte a Bondye yo, pou fè distribisyon don pou SENYÈ a avèk bagay ki sen pase tout lòt bagay yo.
Kore, son of Imnah, the Levite, the gatekeeper of the East Gate, was responsible for receiving the freewill offerings given to God. He also distributed the offerings given to the Lord, together with the consecrated gifts.
15 Anba otorite li, te gen Éden, Minjamin, Josué, Schemaeja, Amaria ak Schecania, nan vil prèt yo pou separe, fidèlman, bay frè pa yo pa divizyon yo, piti kon gran,
Under him were his assistants Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah. They faithfully made the allocations to their fellow Levites in their towns, according to the priestly divisions, sharing equally with the old and young.
16 anplis de sa yo ki te sou chif zansèt yo, pou gason soti nan laj trantan oswa plis yo—tout moun ki te antre lakay SENYÈ a kòm obligasyon chak jou yo—pou travay nan devwa yo selon divizyon yo;
They also gave allowances to the males listed in the genealogy who were three years of age or older, to all who would enter the Lord's Temple to perform their daily duties of serving according to the responsibilities of their divisions.
17 ansanm ak prèt ki te anrejistre pa zansèt yo selon lakay papa zansèt pa yo, e Levit yo soti nan laj a ventan oswa plis, selon devwa yo ak divizyon yo.
They also gave allowances to the priests listed by family in the genealogy, and to the Levites twenty years of age or older, according to the responsibilities of their divisions.
18 Anrejistreman pa zansèt yo te kontwole tout timoun yo, madanm yo, fis yo ak fi yo, pou tout asanble a, paske yo te konsakre yo menm, fidèlman, nan sentete.
The genealogy included all the babies, wives, sons, and daughters of the whole community, for they were faithful in making sure they dedicated themselves as holy.
In the case of the priests, the descendants of Aaron, those who lived on the farmlands around their towns, men were appointed by name in all the towns to distribute an allocation to every male among the priests and to every Levite as listed in the genealogies.
20 Konsa, Ézéchias te fè patou nan tout Juda; epi li te fè sa ki te bon e dwat devan SENYÈ a, Bondye li a.
This is what Hezekiah did throughout the whole of Judah. He did what was good, right, and true before the Lord his God.
21 Tout èv ke li te kòmanse fè nan sèvis lakay Bondye a, nan lalwa avèk kòmandman an, nan chache Bondye li a, li te fè yo avèk tout kè li, e li te byen reyisi.
In everything he did in working for God's Temple and in following God's laws and commandments, Hezekiah was sincere in his commitment to God. So he was successful in all he did.
