2 Istwa 27
1 Jotham te gen laj venn-senkan lè l te devni wa a, e li te renye sèzan Jérusalem. Non manman li te Jeruscha, fis a Tsadok la.
Jotham [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also [was] Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
2 Li te fè sa ki dwat nan zye SENYÈ a, selon tout sa ke papa Ozias te konn fè. Men li pa t antre nan tanp SENYÈ a. E pèp la te kontinye aji konwonpi.
And he did [that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: yet, he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.
3 Li te bati pòtay pi wo lakay SENYÈ a, e li te bati anpil menm sou miray Ophel la.
He built the high gate of the house of the LORD, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.
4 Anplis, li te bati vil nan peyi kolin a Juda yo, e li te bati fò avèk fòterès sou ti kolin ki te bwaze yo.
Moreover, he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
5 Li te goumen osi avèk wa Amonit yo, e li te genyen yo jiskaske Amonit yo te ba li nan menm ane sa a, san talan an ajan, di-mil barik ble ak di-mil barik lòj. Amonit yo te peye li menm fòs sa a nan dezyèm ak twazyèm ane a.
He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay to him, both the second year, and the third.
6 Konsa, Jotham te vin trè pwisan akoz li te fè afè li an lòd devan SENYÈ a, Bondye li a.
So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
7 Alò, tout lòt zèv a Jotham yo, menm tout gè li yo avèk zèv li yo, gade byen, yo ekri nan Liv A Wa Israël Avèk Juda Yo.
Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, see, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
8 Li te gen venn-senkan lè l te vin wa e li te renye sèzan Jérusalem.
He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
9 Konsa, Jotham te dòmi avèk papa zansèt li yo, e yo te antere li lavil David. Achaz, fis li a, te devni wa nan plas li.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
