1 Men chif kontwòl a fis Israël yo, chèf lakay zansèt yo, kòmandan a dè milye, a dè santèn yo, avèk chèf pa yo ki te sèvi wa a nan tout afè divizyon ki te antre sòti mwa pa mwa pandan tout mwa nan ane yo, chak divizyon te konte a venn-kat-mil sòlda:
Now the sons of Israel, according to their number, the leaders of the families, the tribunes, and the centurions, and the chiefs, who were ministering to the king by their companies, entering and departing in each month of the year as they were in charge, were twenty-four thousand.
2 Sou tèt a premye divizyon an pou premye mwa a te Jaschobeam, fis a Zabdiel la; nan divizyon pa li a te gen venn-kat-mil òm.
Jashobeam, the son of Zabdiel, was in charge of the first company in the first month; and under him were twenty-four thousand.
3 Sòti nan fis a Pérets yo, chèf a tout kòmandan lame a pou premye mwa a.
He was from the sons of Perez, and he was the leader of all the other leaders in the army, in the first month.
4 Sou tèt a divizyon dezyèm mwa a te Dodaï, Achochit la; Mikloth te youn nan chèf yo nan divizyon pa li yo; epi li te gen nan divizyon pa li a, venn-kat-mil òm.
The company of the second month had Dodai, an Ahohite; and after him there was another, named Mikloth, who ruled over a portion of the army of the twenty-four thousand.
5 Twazyèm kòmandan lame a pou twazyèm mwa a te Benaja, fis a prèt la, Jehojada kon chèf; epi nan divizyon pa li te gen venn-kat-mil òm.
Also, the commander of the third company, in the third month, was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest; and in his division there were twenty-four thousand.
6 Benaja sila a se te nonm pwisan a trant yo e li te an chaj sou trant yo; epi Ammizadab, fis li a, te sou divizyon pa li.
The same is the Benaiah who was strongest among the thirty, and was above the thirty. But his son, Ammizabad, was in charge of his company.
7 Katriyèm nan pou katriyèm mwa a te Asaël, frè a Joab la e apre li, Zebadia, fis li a; epi li te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel, the brother of Joab, and his son Zebadiah after him; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
8 Senkyèm nan pou senkyèm mwa a te kòmandan Schamehuth, Jizrachit la; epi te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The fifth leader, for the fifth month, was Shamhuth, an Izrahite; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
9 Sizyèm nan pou sizyèm mwa a te Ira, fis a Ikkesch la, Tekoyit la; epi li te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira, the son of Ikkesh, a Tekoite; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
10 Setyèm nan pou setyèm mwa a te Hélets, Pelonit lan, sòti nan fis a Éphraïm yo; li te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez, a Pelonite from the sons of Ephraim; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
11 Uityèm nan, pou uityèm mwa a te Sibbecaï, Ouchatit la, sòti nan Zerachit yo; epi li te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai, a Hushathite from the stock of the Zerahites; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
12 Nevyèm nan pou nevyèm mwa a te Abiézer, Anathoth la, sòti nan Benjamit yo; epi li te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer, an Anathothite from the sons of Benjamin; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
13 Dizyèm nan pou dizyèm mwa a te Maharaï, Netofayit la nan fanmi Zerachit yo; epi li te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai, and he was a Netophathite from the stock of the Zerahites; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
14 Onzyèm nan pou onzyèm mwa a te Benaja, Piratit la, sòti nan fis Éphraïm nan; epi li te gen yon divizyon a venn-kat-mil òm.
The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah, a Pirathonite from the sons of Ephraim; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
15 Douzyèm nan, pou douzyèm mwa a te Heldaï, Netofit la, sòti nan fanmi Othniel la; epi li te gen yon divizyon venn-kat-mil òm.
The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai, a Netophathite from the stock of Othniel; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
16 Men chèf a tribi Israël yo. Chèf a Ribenit yo; Éliézer, fis a Icri a; pou Simeonit yo: Schephathia, fis a Maaca a;
Now those who were first over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Reubenites, Eliezer, the son of Zichri, was the ruler; over the Simeonites, Shephatiah, the son of Maacah, was the ruler;
17 pou Levit yo: Haschabia, fis a Kemuel la; nan fanmi Aaron an: Tsadok;
over the Levites, Hashabiah, the son of Kemuel; over the Aaronites, Zadok;

and over the one half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo, the son of Zechariah; then over Benjamin, Jaasiel, the son of Abner;

yet truly, Azarel, the son of Jeroham, was over Dan. These were the leaders of the sons of Israel.

But David was not willing to number them from twenty years old and under. For the Lord had said that he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.
24 Joab, fis a Tseruja a, te kòmanse fè gwo kontwòl la, men li pa t fini; epi akoz gwo kòlè sa a ki te vin rive sou Israël e fòs kantite a pa t ladann nan chif kontwòl a Wa David la.
Joab, the son of Zeruiah, had begun to number, but he did not finish. For because of this, wrath had fallen upon Israel. And therefore the number of those who had been counted was not related in the official records of king David.
25 Alò, Azmaveth, fis Adiel la te an chaj depo trezò a wa a. Epi Jonathan, fis a Uzias la, te gen chaj a depo andeyò yo, nan vil yo, nan ti bouk yo ak nan wo fò anlè yo.
Now over the storerooms of the king was Azmaveth, the son of Adiel. But Jonathan, the son of Uzziah, was over those storerooms that were in the cities, and in the villages, and in the towers.

And over the cultivators of vineyards was Shimei, a Ramathite; then over the wine cellars was Zabdi, an Aphonite.
28 Baal-Hanan Gedetit la, te an chaj chan bwa oliv ak bwa sikomò nan gran plèn nan e Joasch te an chaj depo lwil yo.
Now over the olive groves and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Baal-hanan, a Gederite; and over the oil cellars was Joash.
29 Schithraï, Sawonit lan te an chaj bèt ki t ap manje nan Saron yo; epi Schaphath, fis a Adlaï a, sou bèf ki te nan vale yo.
Now over the herds that were pastured in Sharon, Shitrai, a Sharonite, was in the first place; and over the oxen in the valleys, there was Shaphat, the son of Adlai.
30 Obil, Izmayelit la, te an chaj chamo yo; epi Jechdia, Mewonotit la, te an chaj bourik yo.
Truly, over the camels was Obil, an Ishmaelite; and over the donkeys was Jehdeiah, a Meronothite.
31 Jaziz, Agarenyen an, te an chaj bann mouton yo. Tout sila yo te sipèvizè nan tèren ki te apatyen a Wa David la.
And over the sheep was Jaziz, a Hagarene. All these were leaders over the substance of king David.
32 Anplis, Jonathan, tonton David la, te yon konseye, yon nonm ak bon konprann e yon skrib; epi Jehiel, fis a Hacmoni an, te pwofesè a fis Wa yo.
Now Jonathan, the uncle of David, was a counselor, a prudent and scholarly man; he and Jehiel, the son of Hachmoni, were with the sons of the king.
33 Achitophel te yon konseye a wa a e Huschaï, Akyen an, te zanmi a wa a.
Now Ahithophel was the counselor of the king; and Hushai, the Archite, was the king’s friend.
34 Jehojada, fis a Benaja a avèk Abiathar te ranplase Achitophel; epi Joab te kòmandan lame wa a.
After Ahithophel was Jehoiada, the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. But the leader of the army of the king was Joab.
