< 1 Istwa 11 >
1 Epi tout Israël te reyini kote David nan Hébron. Yo te di: “Gade byen, nou se zo ou ak chè ou.
And they gathered together all Israel to David Hebron towards saying here! [are] bone your and flesh your we.
Epi konsa, SENYÈ a, Bondye ou a, te di ou: ‘Ou va bèje pèp Israël Mwen an, e ou va Prens sou pèp Mwen an, Israël.’”
Both yesterday as well as three days ago also when was Saul king you [were] the [one who] led out and the [one who] brought Israel and he said Yahweh God your to you you you will shepherd people my Israel and you you will be ruler over people my Israel.
And they came all [the] elders of Israel to the king Hebron towards and he made to them David a covenant at Hebron before Yahweh and they anointed David to king over Israel according to [the] word of Yahweh by [the] hand of Samuel.
And he went David and all Israel Jerusalem it [was] Jebus and [were] there the Jebusite[s] [the] inhabitants of the land.
And they said [the] inhabitants of Jebus to David not you will enter here and he captured David [the] stronghold of Zion it [was] [the] city of David.
And he had said David any [one who] strikes down a Jebusite at the first he will become a chief and a commander and he went up at the first Joab [the] son of Zeruiah and he became a chief.
And he dwelt David in the fortress there-fore people called it [the] city of David.
8 Li te bati vil toutotou li, soti nan Millo menm pou rive nan tout zòn ki te antoure li yo; epi Joab te repare tout rès vil la.
And he built the city from round about from the Millo and to the surroundings and Joab he restored [the] remainder of the city.
9 David te vin pi gran e pi gran, paske SENYÈ a dèzame yo te avèk li.
And he went David continuously and becoming great and Yahweh of hosts [was] with him.
10 Alò, sila yo se chèf an tèt yo, mesye gran pwisans ke David te genyen yo, ki te bay li soutyen fò nan wayòm li a, pou fè l vin wa, selon pawòl a SENYÈ a pa Israël.
And these [were] [the] chiefs of the mighty [men] who [belonged] to David who held strongly with him in kingdom his with all Israel to make king him according to [the] word of Yahweh on Israel.
11 Sila yo se chif a mesye gran pwisans ke David te genyen yo: Jaschobeam, fis a yon Akmoni, chèf a trant lan. Li te parèt ak yon sèl lans devan twa-san òm e te touye tout yon sèl kou.
And these [are] [the] number of the mighty [men] who [belonged] to David Jashobeam a son of a Hacmonite [was] [the] chief of (the officers *Q(K)*) he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain at a time one.
12 Apre li, se te Éléazar, fis a Dodo a, Achochit la, youn nan twa prensipal mesye pwisan yo.
And after him Eleazar [the] son of Dodo the Ahohite he [was] among three the mighty [men].
13 Li te avèk David nan Pas-Damimim lè Filisten yo te rasanble ansanm la pou batay e te gen yon mòso tè plen avèk lòj; epi pèp la te sove ale devan Filisten yo.
He he was with David at Pas Dammim and the Philistines they were gathered there for battle and it was [the] portion of the field full barley and the people they fled from before [the] Philistines.
14 Yo te kanpe pran plas yo nan mitan mòso tè a pou te defann li e li te touye Filisten yo; epi SENYÈ a te delivre yo avèk yon gran viktwa.
And they took their stand in [the] middle of the portion and they defended it and they struck down [the] Philistines and he delivered Yahweh a deliverance great.
15 Alò, twa nan trant mesye chèf yo te desann vè wòch kav Adullam nan, pandan lame Filisten yo t ap fè kan nan vale Rephaïm nan.
And they went down three of the thirty chief to the rock to David to [the] cave of Adullam and [the] camp of [the] Philistines [was] encamped in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.
16 Konsa, David te anndan fò a pandan lame Filisten an te Bethléem.
And David then [was] in the stronghold and [the] garrison of [the] Philistines then [was] at Beth-lehem.
17 David te gen yon lanvi, epi te di: “O ke yon moun ban m dlo pou bwè soti nan pwi Bethléem ki akote pòtay la!”
(And he craved *Q(k)*) David and he said who? will he give to drink me water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [is] at the gate.
And they broke through the three in [the] camp of [the] Philistines and they drew water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [was] at the gate and they carried [them] and they brought [them] to David and not he was willing David to drink them and he poured out them to Yahweh.
And he said far be it to me from God my from doing this [thing] ¿ [the] blood of the men these will I drink by lives their for by lives their they brought them and not he was willing to drink them these [things] they did [the] three the mighty [men].
20 Epi Abischaï, frè a Joab la te chèf a trant yo ke li te ye e li te voye lans li kont twa san moun e te touye yo. Li te rekonèt menm jan kon trant yo.
And Abishai [the] brother of Joab he he was [the] chief of the three and he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain (and [belonged] to him *Q(K)*) a name with the three.
21 Nan trant yo se te li ki te pi rekonèt e te devni kòmandan pa yo; men li pa t rive nan nivo a twa sila yo.
More than the three by twofold [he was] honored and he became of them a commander and to the three not he came.
22 Benaja, fis a Jehojada a, fis a yon mesye gwo kouraj nan Kabtseel, pwisan nan zèv li yo, te frape touye de fis a Ariël yo, Moabit la. Anplis, li te desann touye yon lyon anndan yon fòs nan yon jou ke lanèj t ap tonbe.
Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada [was] a son of a man of strength great of deeds from Kabzeel he he struck down two Ariel of Moab and he he went down and he struck down the lion in [the] midst of the pit on [the] day of the snow.
23 Li te touye yon Ejipsyen, yon nonm gran wotè a senk koude. Alò, nan men Ejipsyen an, te gen yon lans tankou shaf a aparèy tise a; men li te desann kote li avèk yon baton, te sezi lans lan soti nan men Ejipsyen an e te touye li avèk pwòp lans pa li a.
And he he struck down the man Egyptian a man of stature - five by the cubit and [was] in [the] hand of the Egyptian a spear like a beam of weavers and he went down to him with the club and he tore away the spear from [the] hand of the Egyptian and he killed him with own spear his.
24 Bagay sa yo Benaja, fis a Jehojada a te fè e te byen koni menm jan ak twa mesye pwisan yo.
These [things] he did Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and [belonged] to him a name with three the mighty [men].
More than the thirty there he [was] honored he and to the three not he came and he appointed him David over bodyguard his.
