1 Pou chèf sanba yo. Se sou enstriman akòd pou yo jwe mizik la. Se yon sòm David. Lè m' rele ou, reponn mwen non, Bondye, ou menm k'ap fè m' jistis! Lè m' te nan tèt chaje, ou te vin ede m'. Gen pitye pou mwen. Koute lapriyè mwen.
To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness: in pressure thou hast enlarged me; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
2 Nou menm menm lèzòm, kilè n'a sispann trennen non m' nan labou! Kilè n'a sispann renmen bagay ki pa vo anyen! Kilè n'a sispann kouri dèyè bagay ki pa vre!
Ye sons of men, till when is my glory [to be put] to shame? [How long] will ye love vanity, will ye seek after a lie? (Selah)
3 Pa bliye, se Seyè a ki chwazi m' pou moun pa li. Seyè a tande m' lè mwen rele l'.
But know that Jehovah hath set apart the pious [man] for himself: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.
4 Se pou nou tranble tèlman nou pè, se pou n' sispann fè sa ki mal. Lè nou pou kont nou nan chanm nou, kalkile sou sa. Epi pe bouch nou.
Be moved with anger, and sin not; meditate in your own hearts upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
5 Ofri bèt Seyè a mande pou yo touye pou li. Mete konfyans nou nan li!
Offer sacrifices of righteousness, and confide in Jehovah.
6 Gen anpil moun k'ap di: -Jan nou ta renmen Bondye beni nou! Tanpri, Seyè, fè nou santi ou la avèk nou!
Many say, Who shall cause us to see good? Lift up upon us the light of thy countenance, O Jehovah.
7 Kontantman ou mete nan kè m' pi gwo pase kontantman ki nan kè lèzòm lè yo gen anpil manje ak anpil bwason.
Thou hast put joy in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their new wine was in abundance.
8 Mwen moute kabann mwen ak kè poze. Kou m' kouche, dòmi pran m'. Seyè, se ou menm sèl ki p'ap janm kite anyen rive m'.
In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for thou, Jehovah, alone makest me to dwell in safety.
