1 Lwanj pou Seyè a! Nou menm k'ap sèvi Seyè a, fè lwanj li!

Praise ye Jah! Praise, ye servants of Jehovah. Praise the name of Jehovah.

2 Se pou nou nonmen non l' depi koulye a epi pou tout tan tout tan.

The name of Jehovah is blessed, From henceforth, and unto the age.

3 Depi kote solèy leve jouk kote solèy kouche, se pou yo fè lwanj Seyè a!

From the rising of the sun unto its going in, Praised [is] the name of Jehovah.

4 Seyè a dominen sou tout nasyon yo. Pouvwa li moute pi wo pase syèl la.

High above all nations [is] Jehovah, Above the heavens [is] his honour.

5 Pa gen tankou Seyè a, Bondye nou an. Li chita anwo nèt.

Who [is] as Jehovah our God, He is exalting [Himself] to sit?

6 Li bese je l' pou l' wè sa k'ap pase nan syèl la ak sou latè a.

He is humbling [Himself] to look On the heavens and on the earth.

7 Li bay pòv malere a men pou fè l' leve soti nan pousyè a. Li wete l' nan mizè.

He is raising up from the dust the poor, From a dunghill He exalteth the needy.

8 Li fè l' chita menm kote ak chèf yo, wi, sou menm tab ak chèf pèp li a.

To cause to sit with princes, With the princes of His people.

9 Li bay fanm ki pa ka fè pitit la yon fanmi. Li fè kè l' kontan lakay li, li ba l' pitit. Lwanj pou Seyè a!

Causing the barren one of the house to sit, A joyful mother of sons; praise ye Jah!
