1 Men lis prèt ak moun Levi ki te tounen nan peyi a ansanm ak Zowobabèl, pitit gason Chealtyèl la, ak Jozye. Men non prèt yo: Seraja, Jirimeja, Esdras,
Now, these, are the priests and the Levites, who came up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua, —Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra;
2 Amarya, Malouk, Atouch,
Amariah, Malluch, Hattush;
3 Chekanya, Reyoum, Meremòt,
Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth;
4 Ido, Ginetoyi, Abija,
Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah;
5 Mijamen, Maadya, Bilga,
Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah;
6 Chemaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,
Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah;
7 Salou, Amòk, Ilkija ak Jedaja. Mesye sa yo te chèf prèt yo nan tan Jozye. Ni yo ni prèt yo te soti nan yon sèl fanmi.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah, —these, were the chiefs of the priests and their brethren, in the days of Jeshua.
8 Men non moun Levi yo: Te gen yon premye gwoup ki te reskonsab chante kantik pou di Bondye mèsi. Se te Jozye, Bennwi, Kadmyèl, Cherebya, Jeouda ak Natanya.
And, the Levites, Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, —over the choirs, he and his brethren;
9 Te gen yon lòt gwoup ki te kanpe anfas yo pou reponn yo lè y'ap chante. Se te Bakboukya, Ouni ak lòt moun Levi menm fanmi ak yo.
and Bakbukiah and Unno their brethren, were over against them, in wards.
10 Jozye te papa Jojakim, Jojakim te papa Elyachib, Elyachib te papa Jojada,
And Jeshua, begat Joiakim, —and Joiakim, begat Eliashib, and, Eliashib, [begat] Joiada;
11 Jojada te papa Jonatan, Jonatan te papa Jadwa.
and, Joiada, begat Jonathan, —and, Jonathan, begat Jaddua.
12 Lè Jojakim te granprèt, men moun ki te chèf branch fanmi prèt yo: Meraja, chèf branch fanmi Seraja a, Ananya, chèf branch fanmi Jirimeja a,
And, in the days of Joiakim, were priests, ancestral chiefs, —of Seraiah, Meraiah, of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
13 Mechoulam, chèf branch fanmi Esdras la, Jokanan, chèf branch fanmi Amarya a,
of Ezra, Meshullam, —of Amariah, Jehohanan;
14 Jonatan, chèf branch fanmi Melikou a, Jozèf, chèf branch fanmi Chebanya a,
of Malluchi, Jonathan, —of Shebaniah, Joseph;
15 Adna, chèf branch fanmi Arim lan, Elkayi, chèf branch fanmi Merayòt la,
of Harim, Adna, —of Meraioth, Helkai;
16 Zekarya, chèf branch fanmi Ido a, Mechoulam, chèf branch fanmi Gineton an,
of Iddo, Zechariah, —of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

of Abijah, Zichri, —of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;
18 Chamwa, chèf branch fanmi Bilga a, Jonatan, chèf branch fanmi Chemaja a,
of Bilgah, Shammua, —of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
19 Matenayi, chèf branch fanmi Jojarib la, Ouzi, chèf branch fanmi Jedaja a,
and, of Joiarib, Mattenai, —of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
20 Kalayi, chèf branch fanmi Salou a, Ebè, chèf branch fanmi Amòk la,
of Sallai, Kallai, —of Amok, Eber;
21 Achabya, chèf branch fanmi Ilkija a, Netaneèl, chèf branch fanmi Jedaja a.
of Hilkiah, Hashabiah, —of Jedaiah, Nethanel.
22 Pandan tout tan Elyachib, Jodaja, Jokanan ak Jadwa te pase granprèt, yonn apre lòt, yo te enskri non chèf tout fanmi prèt yo ak non moun Levi yo nan gwo rejis ofisyèl tanp lan. Yo te kenbe rejis sa a jouk sou rèy wa Dariyis ki t'ap gouvènen peyi Pès la.
The Levites—in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded as ancestral chiefs, —also the priests, unto the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 Pou branch fanmi Levi yo, yo te enskri nou chèf fanmi yo tou nan gwo rejis ofisyèl la, men lè yo rive sou tan Jokanan, pitit pitit Elyachib la, yo sispann fè sa.
the sons of Levi, ancestral heads, were written in the book of Chronicles, —even until the days of Johanan, son of Eliashib.
24 Chèf moun Levi yo te Achabya, Jechwa, Bennwi ak Kadmyèl. Yo te separe moun Levi yo an gwoup. De gwoup te kanpe yonn anfas lòt pou chante lwanj Seyè a ak kantik pou di Bondye mèsi, yonn apre lòt, dapre lòd wa David, sèvitè Bondye, te kite a.
And, the chiefs of the Levites, Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise—to give thanks, by the commandment of David the man of God, —ward joined to ward.
25 Men non moun ki t'ap sèvi tankou gad pòtay tanp lan: Se te Matanya, Bakboukya, Obadya, Mechoulam, Talmon ak Akoub. Yo te reskonsab veye depo magazen ki te bò pòtay tanp lan.
Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were watchers, doorkeepers of the ward, in the storehouses of the gates.
26 Moun sa yo t'ap viv nan tan Jojakim, pitit Jozye, pitit pitit Josadak la, te granprèt la, nan tan Neemi t'ap gouvènen an ak nan tan Esdras, prèt ki te direktè lalwa a, tou.
These, were in the days of Joiakim, son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, —and in the days of Nehemiah the pasha, and Ezra the priest the scribe.
27 Lè yo tapral fè sèvis benediksyon miray ranpa lavil Jerizalèm lan, yo fè chache tout moun Levi yo toupatou kote yo te rete, yo mennen yo lavil Jerizalèm. Yo te vle fè yon gwo fèt pou sèvis benediksyon an ak kè kontan. t'ap gen chante pou di Bondye mèsi, avèk mizik, senbal, gita ak bandjo.
And, at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites, out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, —to keep the dedication and the rejoicing, both with thanksgiving and with music, cymbals, harps, and with lyres.
28 Se konsa mizisyen sanba yo, moun branch nan fanmi Levi yo, soti nan tout zòn ki bò lavil Jerizalèm, nan ti bouk ki bò Netofa yo, yo sanble.
So the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, —both out of the circuit round about Jerusalem, and out of the villages of the Netophathites;
29 Genyen tou ki te soti lavil Betgilgal ak andeyò Geba ak Azmavèt. Lè sa a, mizisyen yo te rete nan anpil ti bouk yo te bati nan tout zòn bò lavil Jerizalèm lan.
also out of Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba, and Azmaveth, —for, villages, had the singers builded for themselves, round about Jerusalem.
30 Prèt yo ak moun Levi yo fè sèvis pou mete tèt yo, pèp la, pòtay yo ak miray ranpa a nan kondisyon pou fè sèvis Bondye.
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, —and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Mwen fè tout chèf peyi Jida yo moute sou tèt miray ranpa a: Mwen fè de gwoup mizisyen ak moun pou chante pandan y'ap mache sou tèt miray la. Premye gwoup la al sou bò dwat nan direksyon Pòtay Fatra a.
Then brought I up the rulers of Judah upon the wall, —and I appointed two large choirs, even to go in procession to the right, upon the wall, towards the dung-gate;
32 Ozaya t'ap mache dèyè yo ak mwatye nan chèf peyi Jida yo.
and after them went Hoshaiah, and half the rulers of Judah;
33 Dèyè yo t'ap mache Azarya, Esdras, Mechoulam,
then Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam;
34 Jeouda, Benjamen, Chemaja ak Jirimeja.
Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;
35 Mesye sa yo se prèt yo te chwazi pou kònen twonpèt yo. Dèyè yo t'ap mache Zekarya, pitit Jonatan. Jonatan sa a te pitit Chemaja, Chemaja te pitit Matanya, Matanya te pitit Mika, Mika te pitit Zakou, Zakou te pitit Asaf.
and, of the sons of the priests, with trumpets, Zechariah—son of Jonathan—son of Shemaiah—son of Mattaniah, son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph;
36 Zekarya t'ap mache avèk lòt moun menm fanmi avè l' yo. Se te Chemaja, Azareèl, Milalayi, Gilalayi, Maayi, Netaneèl, Jeouda ak Anani. Yo tout yo te gen nan men yo tout kalite enstriman mizik wa David, sèvitè Bondye a, te konn jwe. Se Esdras, direktè lalwa a, ki t'ap mache devan premye gwoup sa a.
and his brethren—Shemaiah and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the instruments of music of David, the man of God, —with Ezra the scribe before them;
37 Lè yo rive Pòtay Fontenn dlo a, yo moute dwat devan yo, yo pran macheskalye ki mennen nan lavil wa David la, yo pase sou kote palè David la, yo moute sou tèt miray la ankò jouk yo rive Pòtay Dlo yo bò solèy leve.
and, over they fountain gate and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, —above the house of David, even as far as the water-gate, eastward.
38 Lòt gwoup la menm al sou bò gòch, sou tèt miray la: Mwen t'ap mache dèyè yo ansanm ak lòt mwatye moun yo. Nou pase bò gwo Fò Fou yo jouk nou rive sou gwo miray laj la.
And, the second choir, was going over against them, I, following it, —with the half of the people upon the wall, above the tower of the ovens, even as far as the broad wall;
39 Apre sa, nou pase anwo pòtay Efrayim lan, anwo vye Pòtay la, anwo Pòtay Pwason yo, sou kote Fò Ananeèl ak Fò Meya a jouk nou rive bò Pòtay Mouton yo. Nou rete bò Pòtay Gad Tanp lan.
and above the gate of Ephraim, and upon the old gate, and upon the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even as far as the sheep-gate, —and they came to a stand, at the gate of the guard.
40 Se konsa, de gwoup moun yo ki t'ap chante pou di Bondye mèsi a rive nan tanp Bondye a. Mwen te gen avè mwen mwatye nan chèf yo,
So the two choirs, came to a stand, at the house of God, —and I, and half the deputies with me;
41 ansanm ak prèt ki t'ap kònen twonpèt yo: Elyakim, Maaseja, Menjamen, Mika, Elioenayi, Zekarya, Ananya, avèk twonpèt yo nan men yo,
and, the priests—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42 ansanm avèk moun k'ap chante yo: Maseja, Chemaja, Eleaza, Ouzi, Jokanan, Malkija, Elam ak Azè. Se Jizraja ki t'ap mennen chante a.
and Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer, —and the musicians sounded, aloud with Jezrahiah who was over them.
43 Jou sa a, yo te ofri anpil gwo sakrifis pou Bondye. Tout pèp la t'ap fè fèt paske Seyè a te ba yo gwo kè kontan. Tout fanm yo ak tout timoun yo t'ap fete tou. Byen lwen yo te ka tande moun yo ki t'ap fete nan lavil Jerizalèm lan.
And they sacrificed, on that day, great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for, God, had caused them to rejoice with great joy, moreover also, the women and children, rejoiced, —so that the rejoicing of Jerusalem was heard afar off.
44 Lè sa a, yo chwazi kèk gason yo mete reskonsab chanm depo kote yo te mete pwovizyon yo, ofrann premye grenn ak premye fwi yo ranmase nan chak rekòt yo, ofrann ladim yo ak lòt ofrann pou moun yo fè pou tanp lan: Se mesye sa yo ki te gen pou ale nan tout jaden bò lavil yo, pou ranmase sa lalwa te mande pou bay prèt yo ak moun Levi yo. Tout moun peyi Jida te kontan ak travay moun Levi yo ak prèt yo t'ap yo fè.
And there were set in charge, on that day, certain men, over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, out of the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law, for the priests, and for the Levites, —for, the joy of Judah, was over the priests and over the Levites, who were remaining.
45 Paske, yo t'ap fè sèvis Bondye yo san mank. Yo t'ap fè sèvis pou mete tout moun ak tout bagay nan kondisyon pou fè sèvis Bondye. Mizisyen yo ak gad pòtay tanp yo tou, tout moun t'ap fè travay yo dapre regleman wa David ak pitit li, wa Salomon, te bay.
So they kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and [so did] the singers and the doorkeepers, —according to the commandment of David and of Solomon his son.
46 Depi lontan, sou rèy David, nan tan Asaf te chèf mizisyen yo, te gen yon gwoup mizisyen ki te la pou chante lwanj Bondye ak lòt chante pou di l' mèsi.
For, in the days of David and Asaph, of old, there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving, unto God.
47 Se konsa, nan tan Zowobabèl ak nan tan Neemi, tout pèp Izrayèl la te pote kado chak jou bay mizisyen yo ak gad pòtay tanp yo. Yo te pote renmèt moun Levi yo ofrann yo te mete apa pou Bondye. Moun Levi yo menm te bay prèt yo, moun fanmi Arawon yo, pòsyon pa yo.
Now, all Israel—in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, used to give the portions of the singers and the doorkeepers, the need of a day upon its day, —and they hallowed them unto the Levites, and, the Levites, hallowed them unto the sons of Aaron.
