1 Lè Jezi fin pale tout pawòl sa yo ak pèp la, li ale lavil Kapènawòm.
And whanne he hadde fulfillid alle hise wordis in to the eeris of the puple, he entride in to Cafarnaum.
2 Nan lavil sa a, yon kaptenn lame a te gen yon domestik li te renmen anpil. Domestik sa a te twouve l' malad prèt pou mouri.
But a seruaunt of a centurien, that was precious to hym, was sijk, and drawynge to the deeth.
3 Kaptenn lan tande pale sou Jezi; se konsa li voye kèk chèf fanmi nan jwif yo al mande Jezi pou l' vin geri domestik li a.
And whanne he hadde herd of Jhesu, he sente to hym the eldere men of Jewis, and preiede hym, that he wolde come, and heele his seruaunt.
4 Yo rive bò kot Jezi, yo di li: Tanpri, fè sa pou li, li merite li. Paske li renmen pèp nou an.
And whanne thei camen to Jhesu, thei preieden hym bisili, and seiden to hym, For he is worthi, that thou graunte to hym this thing;
5 Se li ki te bati sinagòg la pou nou.
for he loueth oure folk, and he bildide to vs a synagoge.
6 Jezi ale avè yo. Li te rive toupre kay la lè kaptenn lan voye kèk zanmi di l' konsa: Mèt, pa bay kò ou tout traka sa a. Mwen pa merite pou ou antre lakay mwen.
And Jhesus wente with hem. And whanne he was not fer fro the hous, the centurien sente to hym freendis, and seide, Lord, nyle thou be trauelid, for Y am not worthi, that thou entre vnder my roof;
7 Se poutèt sa mwen pa t' kwè m' ase bon pou m' te vin jwenn ou, mwen menm. Annik di yon mo, domestik mwen an va geri.
for which thing and Y demede not my silf worthi, that Y come to thee; but seie thou bi word, and my child schal be helid.
8 Mwen menm, mwen sou zòd chèf, mwen gen sòlda sou zòd mwen tou. Lè m' di yonn: Ale! li ale. Lè m' di yon lòt: Vini! li vini. Lè m' di domestik mwen an: Fè sa! li fè li.
For Y am a man ordeyned vndur power, and haue knyytis vndur me; and Y seie to this, Go, and he goith, and to anothir, Come, and he cometh, and to my seruaunt, Do this thing, and he doith.
9 Lè Jezi tande pawòl sa yo, li vin gen yon gwo admirasyon pou kaptenn lan. Li vire bò foul moun ki t'ap swiv li a, li di yo: M'ap di nou sa: Mwen poko janm jwenn yon moun ki gen konfyans nan Bondye konsa, pa menm nan pèp Izrayèl la.
And whanne this thing was herd, Jhesus wondride; and seide to the puple suynge hym, Treuli Y seie to you, nether in Israel Y foond so greet feith.
10 Lè zanmi kaptenn lan te voye yo tounen nan kay la, yo jwenn domestik ki te malad la geri.
And thei that weren sent, turneden ayen home, and founden the seruaunt hool, which was sijk.
11 Apre sa, Jezi ale nan yon lavil yo rele Nayen. Disip li yo t'ap fè wout avè l' ansanm ak yon gwo foul moun.
And it was don aftirward, Jhesus wente in to a citee, that is clepid Naym, and hise disciplis; and ful greet puple wente with hym.
12 Li rive bò pòtay lavil la. Lè sa a yo t'ap pote yon mò al antere: se te sèl pitit gason yon madanm vèv. Te gen anpil moun lavil la avèk li.
And whanne he cam nyy to the yate of the citee, lo! the sone of a womman that hadde no mo children, was borun out deed; and this was a widowe; and myche puple of the citee with hir.
13 Lè Jezi wè vèv la, kè l' fè l' mal pou li, li di li: Pa kriye, tande!
And whanne the Lord Jhesu hadde seyn hir, he hadde reuthe on hir, and seide to hir, Nyle thou wepe.
14 Apre sa li pwoche, li manyen sèkèy la. Moun ki t'ap pote l' yo ret kanpe. Li di: Jennonm, se mwen menm k'ap pale avè ou. Leve.
And he cam nyy, and touchide the beere; and thei that baren stoden. And he seide, Yonge man, Y seie to thee, rise vp.
15 Epi mò a leve chita, li kòmanse pale. Jezi renmèt li bay manman li.
And he that was deed sat vp ayen, and bigan to speke; and he yaf hym to his modir.
16 Tout moun yo te pè, yo t'ap fè lwanj Bondye, yo t'ap di: Yon gwo pwofèt parèt nan mitan nou! Yo t'ap di tou: Bondye vin sove pèp li a.
And drede took alle men, and thei magnyfieden God, and seiden, For a grete profete is rysun among vs, and, For God hath visitid his puple.
17 Nouvèl la te gaye nan tout peyi Jide a ak nan tout vwazinaj la.
And this word wente out of hym in to al Judee, and in to al the cuntre aboute.
18 Patizan Jan Batis yo te rakonte tout bagay sa yo bay Jan Batis.
And Joones disciplis toolden hym of alle these thingis.
19 Jan rele de ladan yo, li voye yo bò kot Jezi al mande li: Eske ou se moun nou konnen ki gen pou vini an, osinon èske nou dwe tann yon lòt?
And Joon clepide tweyn of hise disciplis, and sente hem to Jhesu, and seide, Art thou he that is to come, or abiden we anothir?
20 Lè mesye sa yo rive bò kot Jezi, yo di li: Jan Batis voye nou bò kote ou vin mande ou: Eske ou se moun nou konnen ki gen pou vini an, osinon èske nou dwe tann yon lòt?
And whanne the men cam to hym, thei seiden, Joon Baptist sente vs to thee, and seide, Art thou he that is to come, or we abiden anothir?
21 Lè sa a, Jezi t'ap geri anpil moun malad ak anpil moun enfim, li t'ap wete yo anba pouvwa move lespri, li t'ap fè anpil avèg wè ankò.
And in that our he heelide many men of her sijknessis, and woundis, and yuel spiritis; and he yaf siyt to many blynde men.
22 Apre sa, li reponn moun Jan Batis te voye yo konsa: Ale rakonte Jan sa nou sot wè ak sa nou sot tande la a: je avèg yo louvri, moun ki t'ap bwete yo mache byen, moun ki te gen maladi lalèp yo geri, moun soudè yo tande, moun mouri yo leve, pòv yo tande bon nouvèl la.
And Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, Go ye ayen, and telle ye to Joon tho thingis that ye han herd and seyn; blynde men seyn, crokid men goen, mesels ben maad cleene, deef men heren, deed men risen ayen, pore men ben takun to prechyng of the gospel.
23 benediksyon pou moun ki p'ap jwenn nan mwen okazyon pou yo tonbe nan peche.
And he that schal not be sclaundrid in me, is blessid.
24 Lè moun Jan te voye yo al fè wout yo, Jezi kòmanse pale ak foul moun yo sou Jan Batis. Li di yo konsa: Kisa nou te al wè nan dezè a? Yon pye wozo van ap balanse? Non.
And whanne the messangeris of Joon weren go forth, he bigan to seie of Joon to the puple,
25 Men, kisa nou te al wè menm? Yon nonm abiye ak bèl rad? Ala, moun ki abiye ak bèl rad, k'ap viv nan jwisans, se kay wa yo jwenn yo.
What wenten ye out in to desert to se? a reed waggid with the wynd?
26 Men, manyè di m' kisa nou tal wè? Yon pwofèt? Wi. Mwen menm, mwen di nou: li pi plis pase yon pwofèt.
But what wenten ye out to se? a man clothid with softe clothis? Lo! thei that ben in precious cloth and in delicis, ben in kyngis housis. But what wenten ye out to se? a profete? Yhe, Y seie to you, and more than a profete.
27 Men sa ki te ekri sou Jan Batis: Men m'ap voye mesaje m' lan devan ou, la louvri chemen an devan pou ou.
This is he, of whom it is writun, Lo! Y sende myn aungel bifor thi face, which schal make `thi weie redi bifor thee.
28 M'ap di nou sa: Nan tout moun ki fèt sou latè pa gen yonn ki pi konsekan pase Jan Batis. Men, moun ki pi piti nan peyi kote Bondye wa a pi konsekan pase li.
Certis Y seie to you, there is no man more prophete among children of wymmen, than is Joon; but he that is lesse in the kyngdom of heuenes, is more than he.
29 Tout pèp la ansanm ak pèseptè kontribisyon yo t'ap tande li. Moun sa yo te rekonèt se Bondye ki gen rezon, se pou sa yo te fè Jan Batis batize yo.
And al the puple herynge, and pupplicans, that hadden be baptisid with baptym of Joon, iustifieden God;
30 Men, farizyen yo ak dirèktè lalwa yo te refize sa Bondye te vle fè pou yo; se sak fè yo pa t' kite Jan Batis batize yo.
but the Farisees and the wise men of the lawe, that weren not baptisid of hym, dispisiden the counsel of God ayens hem silf.
31 Jezi di yo ankò: Ak ki moun mwen ta konpare moun k'ap viv nan tan alèkile yo? Ki moun yo sanble menm?
And the Lord seide, Therfor to whom schal Y seie `men of this generacioun lijk, and to whom ben thei lijk?
32 Yo sanble timoun ki chita sou plas piblik. Yonn ap rele lòt pou di l' konsa: Nou jwe mizik cho pou nou ak fif nou, nou pa danse. Nou chante chante ki tris pou nou, nou pa kriye.
Thei ben lijk to children sittynge in chepyng, and spekynge togider, and seiynge, We han sungun to you with pipis, and ye han not daunsid; we han maad mornyng, and ye han not wept.
33 Jan Batis vini, li pa manje pen, ni li pa bwè diven, nou di: Li gen yon move lespri sou li.
For Joon Baptist cam, nethir etynge breed, ne drynkynge wyne, and ye seyen, He hath a feend.
34 Mwen menm, Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a, mwen vini, mwen manje, mwen bwè, nou di: Gade yon nonm! Se manje ak bwè ase l' konnen; se zanmi pèseptè kontribisyon ak moun k'ap fè sa ki mal li ye.
Mannus sone cam etynge and drynkynge, and ye seien, Lo! a man a deuourer, and drynkynge wyne, a frend of pupplicans and of synful men.
35 Men, tout moun ki asepte bon konprann Bondye a, yo moutre se Bondye nan bon konprann li ki gen rezon.
And wisdom is iustified of her sones.
36 Yon farizyen te envite Jezi vin manje avè li. Jezi ale lakay farizyen an; li chita bò tab la pou l' manje.
But oon of the Farisees preiede Jhesu, that he schulde ete with hym. And he entride in to the hous of the Farise, and sat at the mete.
37 Nan lavil sa a, te gen yon fanm movèz vi. Lè fanm lan pran nouvèl Jezi t'ap manje lakay farizyen an, li pote yon ti boutèy fèt an albat plen odè.
And lo! a synful womman, that was in the citee, as sche knewe, that Jhesu sat at the mete in the hous of the Farisee, sche brouyte an alabaustre box of oynement;
38 Li mete kò l' dèyè bò pye Jezi. Li kriye, li kriye, li mouye pye Jezi ak dlo ki t'ap soti nan je li. Apre sa, li siye yo ak cheve l', li bo yo, epi li vide odè sou yo.
and sche stood bihynde bysidis hise feet, and bigan to moiste hise feet with teeris, and wipide with the heeris of hir heed, and kiste hise feet, and anoyntide with oynement.
39 Lè farizyen ki te envite Jezi a wè sa, li t'ap di nan kè l': Si nonm sa a te yon pwofèt vre, se pou l' ta konnen ki kalite moun fanm sa k'ap manyen l' lan ye, li ta konnen ki movèz vi fanm sa a ap mennen.
And the Farise seynge, that hadde clepide hym, seide within hym silf, seiynge, If this were a prophete, he schulde wite, who and what maner womman it were that touchith hym, for sche is a synful womman.
40 Lè sa a, Jezi pran lapawòl, li di l' konsa: Simon, mwen gen kichòy pou m' di ou. Simon reponn li: Mèt, ou mèt pale wi.
And Jhesus answeride, and seide to hym, Symount, Y haue sumthing to seie to thee. And he seide, Maistir, seie thou.
41 Jezi di li: Vwala, se te de moun ki te dwe yon nonm ki te prete yo lajan; premye a te dwe l' senksan (500) goud; lòt la te dwe l' senkant goud.
And he answeride, Twei dettouris weren to o lener; and oon auyt fyue hundrid pans, and `the other fifti;
42 Ni yonn ni lòt pa t' gen dekwa peye dèt la. Lè sa a, nonm lan di yo yo pa bezwen peye dèt la ankò. Kilès nan yo de a va renmen l' plis?
but whanne thei hadden not wherof `thei schulden yeelde, he foryaf to bothe. Who thanne loueth hym more?
43 Simon reponn li: Mwen ta kwè se nonm ki te dwe l' plis la. Jezi di l': Ou byen reponn.
Symount answeride, and seide, Y gesse, that he to whom he foryaf more. And he answeride to hym, Thou hast demyd riytli.
44 Epi li vire bò fanm lan, li di Simon: Ou wè fanm sa a? Mwen antre lakay ou, ou pa menm ban m' dlo pou m' lave pye m'; men li menm, li lave pye m' ak dlo ki soti nan je l'. Apre sa, li siye yo ak cheve li.
And he turnede to the womman, and seide to Symount, Seest thou this womman? I entride into thin hous, thou yaf no watir to my feet; but this hath moistid my feet with teeris, and wipide with hir heeris.
45 Ou pa te bo m' lè m' t'ap antre lakay ou; men li menm, depi mwen antre se bo l'ap bo pye m'.
Thou hast not youun to me a cosse; but this, sithen sche entride, ceesside not to kisse my feet.
46 Ou pa vide lwil sou tèt mwen; men li menm, li vide odè sou pye mwen.
Thou anoyntidist not myn heed with oile; but this anoyntide my feet with oynement.
47 Se poutèt sa, mwen di ou: li fè tout bagay sa yo pou moutre jan li renmen anpil, paske yo padonnen li anpil peche. Men, yon moun yo padonnen yon ti kras, se yon ti kras l'ap moutre jan l' renmen tou.
For the which thing Y seie to thee, many synnes ben foryouun to hir, for sche hath loued myche; and to whom is lesse foryouun, he loueth lesse.
48 Apre sa, Jezi di fanm lan: Peche ou yo padonnen.
And Jhesus seide to hir, Thi synnes ben foryouun to thee.
49 Moun ki te chita bò tab la avèk li yo pran di nan kè yo: Ki moun nonm sa a ye menm pou li padonnen peche?
And thei that saten to gider at the mete, bigunnen to seie with ynne hem silf, Who is this that foryyueth synnes.
50 Men Jezi di fanm lan: Se konfyans ou nan Bondye ki sove ou. Ale ak kè poze.
But he seide to the womman, Thi feith hath maad thee saaf; go thou in pees.
