< Jozye 13 >

Seyè a di l' konsa: -Koulye a, ou fin granmoun, ou antre nan laj serye. Men, gen yon bon pòsyon nan peyi a toujou ki rete pou nou pran.
Now Joshua was very old when Yahweh said to him, “You are very old, but there is still very much land to capture.
2 Rete nou tout teritwa moun Filisti yo ak tout peyi moun Jechou yo,
This is the land that still remains: All the regions of the Philistines, and all those of the Geshurites,
3 ki vle di depi larivyè Chikò k'ap koule sou fwontyè lès peyi Lejip la, moute nan nò, jouk sou fwontyè Ekwon an.
from Shihor, which is east of Egypt, and northward to the border of Ekron, which is considered property of the Canaanites; the five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron—the territory of the Avvites.
4 sou bò sid la, tout peyi moun Kanaran yo, depi lavil Meara ki pou moun Sidon yo jouk Afeka, sou fwontyè peyi Amori a.
In the south (the territory of the Avvites); all the lands of the Canaanites, from Arah that belongs to the Sidonians, as far as Aphek which is on the border of the Amorites;
5 Te rete ankò tè moun Jebal yo ak tout peyi Liban sou bò solèy leve, depi Baal-Gad nan pye mòn Emon jouk kote Pas Amat la konmanse a.
the land of the Gebalites, all of Lebanon toward the east, from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo Hamath.
Also, all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon as far as Misrephoth Maim, including all the people of Sidon. I will drive them out before the army of Israel. Be sure to assign the land to Israel as an inheritance, as I commanded you.
7 Lè a rive koulye a pou nou separe peyi a bay nèf lòt branch fanmi yo ak lòt mwatye nan branch fanmi Manase a pòsyon pa yo.
Divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and to the half tribe of Manasseh.”
8 Branch fanmi Woubenn lan ak branch fanmi Gad la ansanm ak mwatye nan branch fanmi Manase a te deja resevwa pòsyon tè pa yo lòt bò larivyè Jouden sou solèy leve. Se Moyiz, sèvitè Seyè a, ki te ba yo li.
With the other half of the tribe of Manasseh, the Reubenites and the Gadites had received their inheritance that Moses gave them on the east side of the Jordan,
9 Peyi yo a te soti depi lavil Awoyè ki sou bò gwo ravin Anon an ak lavil ki nan mitan ravin lan, li pran tout plenn Medeba a rive lavil Dibon.
from Aroer, which is on the edge of the Arnon river gorge (including the city that is in the middle of the gorge), to all the plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon;
10 Li pran tout lavil ki te pou Siyon, wa moun Amori yo, ki te rete lavil Esbon pandan tout rèy li, li rive jouk sou fwontyè moun Amon yo.
all the cities of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, to the border of the Ammonites;
Gilead, and the region of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, all Bashan to Salekah;
12 Nan peyi Bazan an, yo pran tout zòn kote wa Og t'ap gouvènen an.
all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei—these are what was left of the remnant of the Rephaim—Moses struck them and drove them out.
13 Men, pèp Izrayèl la pa t' mete moun Jechou yo ak moun Maaka yo deyò.
But the people of Israel did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites. Instead, Geshur and Maacath live among Israel to this day.
14 Sèl branch fanmi Levi a pa t' resevwa ankenn pòsyon tè ki rele l' pa l' nan pataj la, paske Seyè a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, te kite tou sa yo ofri ba li pou yo, jan li te di l' la.
To the tribe of Levi alone Moses gave no inheritance. The offerings of Yahweh, the God of Israel, made by fire, are their inheritance, as God said to Moses.
15 Moyiz te separe tè branch fanmi Woubenn lan, li bay chak fanmi pòsyon pa yo.
Moses gave an inheritance to the tribe of Reuben, clan by clan.
Their territory was from Aroer, on the edge of the Arnon River gorge, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plateau by Medeba.
Reuben also received Heshbon and all its cities that are in the plateau, Dibon, and Bamoth Baal, and Beth Baal Meon,
18 Jaza, Kedemòt, Mefrat,
and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 Kiryatayim, Libna ak Zerèt acha Jechimòt, sou ti bit ki nan fon an,
and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth Shahar on the hill of the valley.
20 Bèt-Peyò, sou pant Pizga a, Bèt ajechimòt,
Reuben also received Beth Peor, the slopes of Pisgah, Beth Jeshimoth,
all the cities of the plateau, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses had defeated together with the leaders of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who had lived in the land.
22 Pami moun moun pèp Izrayèl yo te touye yo, te gen pwofèt yo te rele Balaram, pitit Beyò a.
The people of Israel also killed with the sword Balaam son of Beor, who practiced divination, among the rest of those they had killed.
The border of the tribe of Reuben is the Jordan River; this is their boundary. This was the inheritance of the tribe of Reuben, given to each of their clans, with their cities and villages.
24 Moyiz te separe tè branch fanmi Gad la, li bay chak fanmi pòsyon pa yo.
This is what Moses gave to the tribe of Gad, clan by clan:
25 Se konsa, pòsyon pa yo a te pran tout peyi Jazè a, tout lavil ki nan peyi Galarad la, mwatye nan peyi moun Amon yo, rive sou lavil Awoyè sou bò solèy leve lavil Raba.
Their territory was Jazer, all the cities of Gilead and half the land of the Ammonites, to Aroer, which is east of Rabbah,
26 Li te pran depi Esbon jouk Ramat Mizpe ak Betonim, depi Manayim jouk fwontyè peyi Lodeba.
from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Betonim, from Mahanaim to the territory of Debir.
In the valley, Moses gave them Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, with the Jordan as a border, to the lower end of the Sea of Kinnereth, eastward beyond the Jordan.
This is the inheritance of the tribe of Gad, clan by clan, with their cities and villages.
Moses gave an inheritance to the half tribe of Manasseh. It was assigned to the half tribe of the people of Manasseh, clan by clan.
30 Se konsa, pòsyon pa yo a te konmanse depi Manayim, li pran tout peyi Bazan an, tout peyi wa Og t'ap gouvènen an, ak swasant bouk ki te pou Jayi nan peyi Bazan an,
Their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities;
31 mwatye nan peyi Galarad la ansanm ak Astawòt ak Edreyi, lavil ki te pou wa Og nan peyi Bazan an.
half of Gilead, and Ashtaroth and Edrei (the royal cities of Og in Bashan). These were assigned to the clan of Machir son of Manasseh—half of the people of Machir, clan by clan.
This is the inheritance that Moses assigned to them on the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan east of Jericho.
33 Men, Moyiz pa t' bay moun branch fanmi Levi yo ankenn pòsyon nan peyi a pou rele yo pa yo.
Moses did not give an inheritance to the tribe of Levi. Yahweh, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, just as he said to them.
