< Jòb 29 >
1 Jòb tanmen pale ankò, li di:
And he repeated Job to take up discourse his and he said.
2 -Ki moun ki va fè m' viv tan lontan an, lè Bondye t'ap voye je sou mwen an?
Who? will he give me like months of long ago like [the] days [when] God he watched over me.
3 Lè sa a, Bondye te toujou la avèk mwen. Limyè li te klere anwo tèt mwen, li t'ap moutre m' kote pou m' mete pye m' nan fènwa a.
When made shine he lamp his over head my to light his I walked darkness.
4 Nan tan sa a, tout zafè m' t'ap mache byen. Bondye te zanmi m'. Li t'ap pwoteje kay mwen.
Just as I was in [the] days of prime my in [the] intimacy of God on tent my.
5 Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a te toujou la avèk mwen. Mwen t'ap viv nan mitan tout pitit gason m' yo.
While still [the] Almighty [was] with me [were] around me lads my.
6 Bèf ak kabrit mwen yo te konn bay anpil lèt. Pye oliv mwen yo te donnen menm nan tè wòch.
When bathed steps my in curd and a rock it poured out beside me streams of oil.
7 Lè mwen parèt pòtay lavil la, lè mwen pran plas mwen nan mitan chèf fanmi yo,
When went out I [the] gate on [the] town in the public square I prepared seat my.
8 wè yo wè m', jenn gason yo mete kò yo sou kote, granmoun yo leve kanpe pa respè pou mwen.
They saw me young men and they hid themselves and old [men] they rose they stood.
9 Notab yo sispann pale, yo fèmen bouch yo.
Chiefs they restrained words and a hand they put to mouth their.
10 Ata chèf yo pa ka pale ankò! Lang yo vin lou nan bouch yo.
[the] voice of Nobles they were hidden and tongue their to palate their it stuck.
11 Tout moun ki te wè m' t'ap mache fè lwanj mwen, tout moun ki te tande m' te kontan avè m'.
For an ear it heard and it called blessed me and an eye it saw and it bore witness to me.
12 Mwen lonje men bay pòv malere ki nan ka ansanm ak timoun san papa ki san sekou.
That I rescued [the] afflicted [who] cried for help and [the] fatherless and [the one whom] not a helper [belonged] to him.
13 Moun ki te nan pi gwo mizè t'ap fè lwanj mwen. Mwen te fè kè vèv yo kontan.
[the] blessing of [one] about to perish On me it came and [the] heart of a widow I made sing for joy.
14 Mwen te toujou fè sa ki dwat. Mwen pa t' janm nan patipri.
Righteousness I put on and it clothed me [was] like a robe and a turban justice my.
15 Se mwen ki te wè pou avèg yo. Se mwen ki te mache pou kokobe yo.
Eyes I was to the blind and [was] feet to the lame I.
16 Mwen te yon papa pou pòv malere yo. Mwen te kanpe pou defann kòz etranje yo.
[was] a father I to the needy [people] and a case at law of [the one whom] not I knew I investigated it.
17 Mwen te kraze pouvwa malveyan yo. Mwen sove moun ki te anba men yo.
And I broke! [the] jaws of [the] unrighteous and from teeth his I threw [the] prey.
18 Mwen t'ap di nan kè m': M'a viv kont viv mwen. M'a mouri sou kabann mwen ak kè poze.
And I said with nest my I will expire and like sand I will increase days.
19 Mwen te tankou yon pyebwa plante bò larivyè. Sou tout branch li yo se lawouze.
Root my [is] opened to water and dew it will remain overnight on branch[es] my.
20 Moun pa ta janm sispann fè lwanj mwen. Mwen t'ap toujou gen tout fòs mwen sou mwen.
Honor my [is] new with me and bow my in hand my it will show newness.
21 Lè m'ap pale, tout moun fèmen bouch yo. Yo louvri zòrèy yo, y'ap tann konsa konsèy m'ap bay.
To me people listened and they waited and they may be silent for counsel my.
22 Pawòl mwen tonbe nan kè yo tankou grenn lapli. Lè m' fin pale, pesonn pa gen anyen pou di ankò.
After word my not they repeated and on them it dropped speech my.
23 Yo t'ap tann mwen pale tankou tè sèk k'ap tann lapli. Yo rete bouch louvri pou ranmase sa m'ap di.
And they waited like the rain for me and mouth their they opened wide for spring rain.
24 Lè yo dekouraje, mwen fè yon ti ri ak yo. Sa te kont pou remoute kouraj yo.
I laughed to them not they believed and [the] light of face my not they made fall!
25 Mwen te kanpe alatèt yo. Mwen mennen yo tankou yon wa k'ap mennen sòlda li yo. Mwen di yo sa pou yo fè. Mwen te ba yo kouraj lè yo nan lafliksyon.
I chose way their so I may sit [as] chief so I may dwell like a king among the troop[s] just as mourners someone comforts.
