Jeremi 48
1 Men mesaj Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, bay sou peyi Moab la: -Ala malè pou moun lavil Nebo yo! Yo ravaje lavil la nèt ale. Moun lavil Kiryatayim yo wont! Lènmi anvayi lavil la, yo pran gwo fò a, yo kraze l' ratè!
Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe to Nebo! for it is laid waste: Kiriathaim is confounded [and] taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
2 Peyi Moab la pèdi pouvwa li. Nan lavil Esbon yo fè plan pou yo detwi Moab. Yo di: Ann ale, ann disparèt peyi a sou latè! Yo fè lavil Madmèn pe bouch li. Yon gwo lame ap mache pran l'!
[There shall be] no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from [being] a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
3 Moun lavil Owonayim yo ap rele: Men y'ap ravaje nou! Y'ap fè malè sou nou!
A voice of crying [shall be] from Horonaim, devastation and great destruction.
4 Yo kraze peyi Moab. Tout pitit li yo ap rele!
Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
5 Se dlo nan je y'ap moute lavil Loukit. Sou tout wout pou desann Owonayim, se gwo rèl pou malè ki rive yo!
For in the ascent of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the descent of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.
6 Y'ap rele: Kouri non, sove lavi nou! Al kache tankou bourik mawon nan dezè a.
Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
7 Ou te mete konfyans ou nan fòs ou ak nan richès ou yo! Ou menm tou, lènmi ap anvayi ou! Y'ap depòte Kemòch, bondye ou la, ansanm ak tout pè li yo ak tout chèf li yo.
For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity [with] his priests and his princes together.
8 Malè pral tonbe sou tout lavil nou yo. Yo yonn p'ap chape anba l'. L'ap fini ak sa ki nan fon yo. L'ap ravaje sa ki sou platon yo. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.
9 Pare yon mab pou mete sou tonm Moab. Talè konsa yo pral detwi l' nèt. Tout lavil peyi Moab yo fin kraze. P'ap gen yon moun rete la ankò.
Give wings to Moab, that it may flee and get away: for its cities shall be desolate, without any to dwell in them.
10 Madichon pou moun ki pote neglijans nan fè travay Seyè a! Madichon pou moun ki derefize touye nan lagè a!
Cursed [be] he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed [be] he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
11 Peyi Moab te toujou viv san ankenn danje depi tout tan. Yo pa janm depòte moun li yo. Li te tankou diven yo kite poze nan barik, san yo pa janm vide l' sot nan yon veso mete l' nan yon lòt. Se konsa li pa janm pèdi gou l'. Li pa janm vante.
Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
12 Men lè a rive koulye a, se Seyè a menm ki di sa. Mwen pral voye moun pou yo vide peyi Moab la tankou diven. Yo pral devide veso yo. Yo pral kraze barik yo an miyèt moso.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send to him wanderers that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
13 Moun peyi Moab yo pral wont Kemòch, bondye yo a, menm jan moun fanmi Izrayèl yo te wont bondye lavil Betèl ki te tout konfyans yo a.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.
14 Ki jan nou ka fè di: Nou se vanyan gason, sòlda brave danje ki konn fè lagè?
How say ye, We [are] mighty and strong men for the war?
15 Yo fini ak peyi Moab. Yo anvayi tout lavil li yo. Yo ansasinen tout jenn gason ki pi bon lakay li yo. Se mwen menm Wa a, mwen menm yo rele Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, ki di sa.
Moab is laid waste, and gone up [out of] her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the king, whose name [is] the LORD of hosts.
16 Jou pou yo fini ak Moab la ap pwoche. Malè ki pral tonbe sou Moab la pa lwen rive.
The calamity of Moab [is] near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
17 Nou menm, vwazen l' yo, plenn sò li! Nou tout ki te konnen jan l' te ye a, nou mèt di: Gade jan yo kraze gwo pouvwa li a! Bèl baton kòmandman ki te nan men l' lan disparèt.
All ye that are about him bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, [and] the beautiful rod!
18 Nou menm k'ap viv lavil Dibon, desann sou bèl fotèy premye klas nou an. Mete dèyè nou atè nan pousyè a. Paske moun ki te fini ak Moab la ap vin pou nou. L'ap kraze tout gwo fò nou yo.
Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from [thy] glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, [and] he shall destroy thy strong holds.
19 Nou menm k'ap viv lavil Awoyè. Rete sou bò wout la tann. Mande moun k'ap kouri met deyò yo sa ki pase.
O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, [and] say, What is done?
20 Y'a reponn ou: Peyi Moab tonbe! Plenn sò li, pete rèl pou li: Yo fè l' wont! Fè tout moun ki rete bò ravin Anon an konnen yo ravaje peyi Moab la.
Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.
21 Jou jijman an rive pou lavil yo ki sou platon an: Olon, Jasa ak Mefat,
And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
22 Didon, Nebo ak Bèt-Diblatayim,
And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim,
23 Kiryatayim, Bèt-Gamoul, Bèt Meyon,
And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon,
24 Keriyòt, Bozra. Jijman rive sou tout lavil peyi Moab yo, kit sa ki toupre, kit sa ki byen lwen.
And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
25 Yo kraze lògèy moun Moab yo. Yo kraze kouraj yo. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki pale.
The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.
26 Seyè a di ankò: -Fè lavil Moab sou, paske li te kenbe tèt avè m'. Se pou Moab woule nan vonmi l'. Li menm tou, se pou yo pase l' nan rizib.
Make ye him drunken; for he magnified [himself] against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
27 Chonje jan nou te konn ap pase pèp Izrayèl la nan rizib. Eske nou te janm bare yo ap fè bann ak vòlò kifè chak fwa n'ap pale sou yo, n'ap souke tèt nou, n'ap di podjab pou yo?
For was not Israel a derision to thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou hast spoken of him, thou hast leaped for joy.
28 Nou menm moun Moab, kite lavil nou yo, al rete nan twou wòch. Fè tankou ranmye ki fè nich yo nan twou bò falèz.
O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove [that] maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth.
29 Moun Moab yo se moun ki gen lògèy anpil. Nou te konnen jan moun sa yo te gen lògèy, jan yo te awogan. Yo te kwè wa pa kouzen yo, y'ap gonfle lestonmak yo sou moun.
We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
30 Men mwen menm Seyè a, mwen konnen yo te kwè twòp nan tèt yo. Bèl diskou yo t'ap fè yo se te pawòl nan bouch. Tou sa y'ap fè pa vo anyen.
I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but [it shall] not [be] so; his lies shall not so effect [it].
31 Se konsa, m'ap plenn sò moun Moab yo, m'ap rele pou tout peyi Moab yo, pou moun lavil Ki-Erès yo.
Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; [my heart] shall mourn for the men of Kirheres.
32 M'ap kriye pou moun lavil Sibma yo plis pase jan mwen te kriye pou moun lavil Jazè yo. Lavil Sibma te tankou yon gwo pye rezen. Branch li yo travèse lòt bò lanmè Mouri a, yo rive jouk lavil Jazè. Men koulye a, yo ravaje tout rekòt la, yo dechèpiye tout rezen nou te ranmase yo.
O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants have gone over the sea, they reach [even] to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler hath fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
33 Pa gen kè kontan ak fèt ankò nan jaden rezen peyi Moab yo. Pa gen yon degout diven ankò nan barik yo. Pa gen yon moun k'ap travay nan moulen pou fè diven. Nou pa tande yon moun ap bay ankourajman.
And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the wine-presses: none shall tread with shouting; [their] shouting [shall be] no shouting.
34 Moun Esbon yo ap rele. Yo tande rèl yo jouk lavil Elealè, jouk lavil Jaaz, depi lavil Zoa jouk lavil Owonayim ak Eglat-Chelichya. Ata ti dlo Nimrim lan gen pou l' cheche.
From the cry of Heshbon [even] to Elealeh, [and even] to Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar [even] to Horonaim, [as] a heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
35 M'ap disparèt moun lavil Moab yo. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa. M'ap touye moun k'ap fè ofrann pou yo boule sou tèt mòn yo, moun k'ap boule lansan pou bondye yo.
Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 Se poutèt sa, kè m' ap fè m' mal anpil pou moun Moab yo, pou moun Ki-Erès yo. M'ap plenn sò yo tankou moun k'ap jwe fif nan lantèman. Paske yo pèdi tou sa yo te genyen.
Therefore my heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and my heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the riches [that] he hath gotten have perished.
37 Yo tout, yo kale tèt yo, yo koupe tout bab nan figi yo, yo kòche tout men yo ak kouto, yo mare sak nan ren yo.
For every head [shall be] bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands [shall be] cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
38 Sou teras anwo tout kay peyi Moab yo, sou tout plas piblik, se plenn moun yo ap plenn. Mwen kraze peyi Moab tankou yon kannari pesonn pa bezwen ankò. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki di sa.
[There shall be] lamentation generally upon all the house-tops of Moab, and in its streets: for I have broken Moab like a vessel in which [is] no pleasure, saith the LORD.
39 Yo fini ak peyi Moab! Plenn sò li. Moab pèdi pye, li wont. Tout nasyon ki nan vwazinaj li yo ap pase l' nan rizib, yo tout sezi wè sa ki rive l'.
They shall howl, [saying], How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
40 Men sa Seyè a di ankò: -Tankou yon malfini, yon lènmi ap plane ak zèl li yo gran louvri sou Moab.
For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
41 Li pran tout lavil yo, li mete men sou tout fò yo. Jou sa a, vanyan sòlda lame Moab yo te pè tankou yon fanm ki gen tranche.
Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 Y'ap fini ak peyi Moab la, y'ap touye dènye moun ladan l', paske li te kenbe tèt ak Seyè a.
And Moab shall be destroyed from [being] a people, because he hath magnified [himself] against the LORD.
43 Nou menm moun Moab yo, yo pral ban nou sezisman, y'ap fouye twou pou nou tonbe, y'ap pare pèlen pou nou. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare, [shall be] upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD.
44 Moun k'ap kouri pou sezisman pa pran yo pral tonbe nan twou. Lè y'a kouri soti nan twou a, y'ap pran nan pèlen. Paske dat Seyè a te fikse pou li pini Moab la rive sou li. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
He that fleeth from the fear, shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth out of the pit, shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, [even] upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
45 Moun k'ap kouri met deyò yo rive Esbon tou bouke. Y'ap chache pwoteksyon lavil Esbon, lavil kote wa Siyon t'ap gouvènen an: men yo jwenn li ap boule. Dife a gaye, li rive jouk sou fwontyè a, li moute rive jouk sou tèt mòn lwijanboje yo.
They that fled stood under the shade of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
46 Sa fè lapenn pou moun Moab yo! Tout moun ki t'ap sèvi Kèmòch yo fini. Yo pran pitit gason ak pitit fi yo, yo fè yo prizonye, yo depòte yo.
Woe be to thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.
47 Men nan jou k'ap vin apre yo, m'ap mete peyi Moab la kanpe ankò. Se mwen menm, Seyè a, ki di sa. Se tou sa ki pral rive moun Moab yo.
Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far [is] the judgment of Moab.
