7 Men non pitit Javan yo: Elicha, Tasis, Kitim ak Wodanim.
And sons of Javan: Elisha, and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.
8 Men non pitit Kam yo: Kouch, Mizrayim, Pout ak Kanaran. Se yo ki zansèt moun ki pote non yo.
Sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
9 Men non pitit Kouch yo: Seba, Avila, Sabta, Rama ak Sabteka. Men non pitit Rama yo: Seba ak Dedan.
And sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecka. And sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
10 Kouch te papa Nimwòd ki te premye gwo chèf sou latè.
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the land.
11 Mizrayim fè pitit. Se yo ki te zansèt moun peyi Lidi yo, moun Anam yo, moun Leyab yo, moun Naftou yo,
And Mizraim begat the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
12 moun Patwous yo, moun Kaslou yo ak moun lil Kaftò yo. Se nan ras sa a moun Filisti yo soti.
and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from whom came out the Philistim), and the Caphtorim.
13 Men non pitit Kanaran yo: Sidon, premye pitit li ak Et. Se yo menm ki zansèt moun ki pote non yo.
And Canaan begat Zidon his first born, and Heth,
14 Kanaran te zansèt moun Jebis yo, moun Amori yo, moun Gigach yo,
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
15 moun Evi yo, moun Aka yo, moun Sini yo,
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
16 moun Avad yo, moun Zema yo ak moun Amat yo.
and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
17 Men non pitit Sèm yo: Elam, Asou, Apachad, Lidi, Aram. Men non pitit Aram yo: Ouz, Oul, Getè ak Mechèk. Se yo ki zansèt moun ki pote non yo.
Sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
18 Apachab te papa Chelak, Chelak te papa Ebè.
And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
19 Ebè te gen de pitit gason. Yonn te rele Pelèg, paske sou tan li moun sou latè te divize yonn ak lòt. Lòt pitit Ebè a te rele Joktan.
And to Eber have been born two sons, the name of the one [is] Peleg, for in his days hath the land been divided, and the name of his brother is Joktan.
20 Joktan te papa Almodad, Chelèf, Azamavèt, Jerak,
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
21 Adoram, Ouzal, Dikla,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 Ebal, Abimayèl, Seba,
and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 Ofi, Avila ak Jobab. Tout moun sa yo se pitit Joktan yo ye.
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan.
24 Soti nan Sèm rive sou Abraram, nou jwenn Sèm, Apachad, Chelak,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 Sewoug, Nakò, Terak
Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27 ak Abram ki te rele Abraram tou.
Abram — he [is] Abraham.
28 Abraram te gen de pitit gason: Izarak ak Izmayèl.
Sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.
29 Pitit gason Izmayèl yo te vin zansèt douz branch fanmi: Se te Nebajòt, premye pitit Izmayèl la, Keda, Adbeyèl, Mibsam,
These [are] their generations: first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adheel, and Mibsam,

Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
31 Jetou, Nafich ak Kedma.

32 Abraram te gen yon lòt fanm kay ki te rele Ketoura. Ketoura sa a fè sis pitit gason pou li. Men non yo: Zimran, Joksan, Medan, Madyan, Jisbak ak Swak. Joksan te gen de pitit gason. Se te Seba ak Dedan.
And sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
33 Madyan te gen senk pitit gason. Se te Efa, Efè, Enòk, Abida ak Elda. Tout moun sa yo, se nan branch fanmi Ketoura a yo ye.
And sons of Midian: Ephah and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah; all these [are] sons of Keturah.
34 Izarak, pitit gason Abraram, te gen de pitit gason: Se te Ezaou ak Izrayèl.
And Abraham begetteth Isaac. Sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
35 Men non pitit Ezaou yo: Elifaz, Reouyèl, Jeouch, Jalam ak Kore.
Sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
36 Se Elifaz ki zansèt branch fanmi sa yo: Teman, Oma, Zefi, Gayetan, Kenaz, Timna ak Amalèk.
Sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 Reouyèl te zansèt branch fanmi sa yo: Naat, Zera, Chanma ak Miza.
Sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 Se Seyi ki zansèt premye moun ki te rete nan peyi Edon an. Men non pitit li yo: Lotan, Chobal, Zibeyon, Ana, Dichon, Ezè ak Dichan.
And sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.
39 Men non pitit Lotan yo: Ori ak Oman. Lotan te gen yon sè ki te rele Timna.
And sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam, and sister of Lotan [is] Timna.
40 Men pitit Chobal yo: Aljan, Manarat, Ebal, Chefi, Onam. Men non pitit Zibeyon yo: Aja ak Ana.
Sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And sons of Zideon: Aiah and Anah.
41 Ana te papa Dichon, Dichon te papa Amram, Echban, Jitran ak Keran.
The sons of Anah: Dishon. and sons of Dishon: Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 Ezè te papa Bilan, Zavan ak Jakan. Dichan menm te papa Ouz ak Aran.
Sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zavan, Jakan. Sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
43 Men wa ki te gouvènen peyi Edon an, anvan te gen ankenn wa nan peyi Izrayèl la. Premye a te Bela, pitit gason Beyò. Lavil kote li moun lan te rele Dinaba.
And these [are] the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king of the sons of Israel: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city [is] Dinhabah.
44 Lè Bela mouri, se Jobab, pitit gason Zerak, moun lavil Bozra, ki te gouvènen nan plas li.
And Bela dieth, and reign in his stead doth Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrali;
45 Lè Jobab mouri, se Oucham, moun peyi Teman, ki te gouvènen nan plas li.
and Jobab dieth, and reign in his stead doth Husham from the land of the Temanite;
46 Lè Oucham mouri, se Adad, pitit gason Bedad, ki te gouvènen nan plas li. Se Adad sa a ki te bat moun peyi Madyan yo nan plenn Moab la. Yo te rele lavil kote li moun lan Avit.
and Husham dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, son of Bedad (who smiteth Midian in the field of Moab) and the name of his city [is] Avith;
47 Lè Adad mouri, se Samla, moun Masreka, ki te gouvènen nan plas li.
and Hadad dieth, and reign in his stead doth Samlah from Masrekah;
48 Lè Samla mouri, se Sayil, moun lavil Reyobòt bò larivyè Lefrat la, ki te gouvènen nan plas li.
and Samlah dieth, and reign in his stead doth Shaul from Rehoboth of the River;
49 Lè Sayil mouri, se Baalanan, pitit gason Akbò, ki te gouvènen nan plas li.
and Shaul dieth, and reign in his stead doth Baal-Hanan son of Achbor;
50 Lè Baalanan mouri, se Ada ki te gouvènen nan plas li. Yo te rele lavil kote li moun lan Payi. Madanm li te rele Metabèl. Se te pitit fi Matrèb, ki pou tèt pa l' te pitit fi Mezarab.
and Baal-Hanan dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, and the name of his city [is] Pai, and the name of his wife [is] Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-Zahab; Hadad also dieth.
51 Ada mouri. Apre sa, men non pitit Ezaou yo ki te chèf branch fanmi yo: Se te Timna, Alva, Jetèt,
And chiefs of Edom are: chief Timnah, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
52 Olibama, Ela, Pinon,
