સફન્યા 3
Woe to her that is rebellious and polluted, The oppressing city!
2 ૨ તેણે ઈશ્વરનો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો નહિ અને યહોવાહની શિખામણ માની નહિ. તેને યહોવાહમાં વિશ્વાસ ન હતો અને પોતાના ઈશ્વરની નજીક આવી નહિ.
She listeneth to no voice, She receiveth not admonition; She trusteth not in Jehovah, She draweth not near to her God.
3 ૩ તેની મધ્યે તેના સરદારો ગર્જના કરતા સિંહ જેવા છે! તેના ન્યાયાધીશો સાંજે ફરતા વરુઓ જેવા છે, જેઓ આવતીકાલ માટે કે સવાર સુધી કશું રહેવા દેતા નથી!
Her princes within her are roaring lions; Her judges are evening wolves; They reserve nothing for the morning.
4 ૪ તેના પ્રબોધકો ઉદ્ધત તથા રાજદ્રોહી માણસો છે. તેના યાજકોએ જે પવિત્ર છે તેને અપવિત્ર કર્યું છે અને નિયમશાસ્ત્રનો ભંગ કર્યો છે.
Her prophets are vainglorious, Men of treachery; Her priests pollute the sanctuary, They violate the law.
5 ૫ તેનામાં યહોવાહ ન્યાયી છે, તે અન્યાય કરતા નથી. રોજ સવારે તે ન્યાય કરે છે તે કશી ચૂક કરતા નથી, છતાં ગુનેગાર લોકોને શરમ આવતી નથી.
But Jehovah is just in the midst of her; He doeth no iniquity. Every morning bringeth he his righteousness to light; he faileth not; Yet the wicked knoweth not shame.
6 ૬ “મેં પ્રજાઓનો નાશ કર્યો છે; તેઓના બુરજો નાશ પામ્યા છે. મેં તેઓની શેરીઓનો નાશ કરી દીધો છે કે તેથી ત્યાં થઈને કોઈ જતું નથી. તેઓનાં નગરો નાશ પામ્યાં છે તેથી કોઈ માણસ જોવા મળતું નથી કે ત્યાં કોઈ રહેતું નથી.
I have cut off nations; their towers are destroyed; I have laid waste their streets so that none passeth through; Their cities are made desolate, without a man, without an inhabitant.
7 ૭ મેં કહ્યું, ‘તું નિશ્ચે મારી બીક રાખશે, મારું માનશે. મેં તેને માટે જે યોજના કરી હતી તે પ્રમાણે તેનાં ઘરોનો નાશ થશે નહિ!’ પણ તેઓએ વહેલા ઊઠીને પોતાના સર્વ કામો ભ્રષ્ટ કર્યાં.”
Then I said, “Surely thou wilt fear me; thou wilt receive admonition, That thy habitation may not be cut off, As I have commanded concerning thee.” But they were diligent to commit iniquity In all their doings.
8 ૮ માટે યહોવાહ કહે છે, મારી રાહ જુઓ” હું નાશ કરવા ઊભો થાઉં તે દિવસ સુધી રાહ જુઓ. કેમ કે મારો નિર્ણય પ્રજાઓને એકત્ર તથા રાજ્યોને ભેગા કરીને, તેઓના પર મારો બધો રોષ અને પ્રચંડ ક્રોધ વરસાવવાનો છે. જેથી આખી પૃથ્વી મારી ઈર્ષ્યાના અગ્નિથી નાશ પામે.
Therefore wait for me, saith Jehovah. Until the day when I rise up to the prey. For my purpose is to gather the nations, to assemble the kingdoms, To pour upon them my indignation, Even all the heat of my wrath. For with the fire of mine anger shall all the earth be devoured.
9 ૯ પણ ત્યારે પછી હું બધા લોકોને પવિત્ર હોઠ આપીશ, જેથી તેઓ યહોવાહના નામની વિનંતી કરીને એકમતના થઈને મારી સેવા કરે.
Then will I again bestow upon the nations pure lips, So that they shall all of them call upon the name of Jehovah, And serve him with one consent.
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My suppliants, the sons of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering.
11 ૧૧ તે દિવસે તારાં સર્વ કૃત્યો જે તેં મારી વિરુદ્ધ કર્યાં છે તેને માટે તારે શરમાવું નહિ પડે, કેમ કે તે સમયે હું તારામાંથી અભિમાની તથા ઉદ્ધત માણસોને દૂર કરીશ, કેમ કે હવે પછી તું મારા પવિત્ર પર્વત પર હીણપતભર્યું કાર્ય કરી શકશે નહિ.
In that day thou shalt not be ashamed For all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me; For I will take away from the midst of thee thy proud exulters, And thou shalt no more exalt thyself upon my holy mountain.
I will leave in the midst of thee a humble and lowly people, Who trust in the name of Jehovah.
13 ૧૩ ઇઝરાયલના બાકી રહેલા લોકો તે પછી અન્યાય કરશે નહિ કે જૂઠું બોલશે નહિ, તેમના મુખમાં કપટી જીભ માલૂમ પડશે નહિ. તેઓ ખાશે અને સૂઈ જશે અને કોઈ તેમને બીવડાવશે નહિ.”
The residue of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak falsehood; Neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; Therefore shall they feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
14 ૧૪ ઓ સિયોનની દીકરી ગાયન કર. હે ઇઝરાયલ ઉલ્લાસ કર. હે યરુશાલેમની દીકરી તારા પૂરા હૃદયથી ખુશ થા અને આનંદ કર.
Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all thy heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!
15 ૧૫ યહોવાહ તમારી શિક્ષાનો અંત લાવ્યા છે; તેમણે તમારા દુશ્મનોને કાઢી મૂક્યાં છે; ઇઝરાયલના રાજા યહોવાહ, તમારામાં છે. તમને ફરીથી ક્યારેય આપત્તિનો ડર લાગશે નહિ.
Jehovah hath taken away thy punishments; He hath removed thine enemies. The king of Israel, Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; Thou shalt see evil no more.
In that day shall it be said to Jerusalem, Fear not! And to Zion, Let not thy hands hang down!
17 ૧૭ યહોવાહ તારા ઈશ્વર તારી મધ્યે છે, શક્તિશાળી ઈશ્વર તને બચાવશે; તે તારા માટે હરખાશે. તે તારા પરના તેમના પ્રેમમાં શાંત રહેશે. તે ગાતાં ગાતાં તારા પર આનંદ કરશે,
Jehovah thy God will be in the midst of thee; The mighty one will save thee. He will rejoice over thee with gladness; He will pardon thee in his love; He will exult over thee with singing.
18 ૧૮ તારામાંના જેઓ મુકરર ઉત્સવને સારુ દિલગીર છે તેઓને હું ભેગા કરીશ અને તારા પરનો તેઓનો બોજો મહેણાંરૂપ થશે.
I will gather them that mourn, far from the solemn assembly, They were far from thee; the reproach was a burden upon thee.
19 ૧૯ જો! તે સમયે હું તારા બધા જુલમગારોની ખબર લઈશ. હું અપંગને બચાવીશ અને જેઓને કાઢી મૂકવામાં આવી છે તેઓને એકત્ર કરીશ; આખી પૃથ્વીમાં જ્યાં તેઓ શરમજનક બન્યા છે ત્યાં હું તેઓને પ્રશંસનીય કરીશ.
Behold, at that time I will destroy all that afflict thee; And I will save the halting, and gather the scattered, And I will make them a praise and a name In every land where they have been put to shame.
20 ૨૦ તે સમયે હું તમને અંદર લાવીશ અને તે જ સમયે હું તમને ભેગા કરીશ, કેમ કે યહોવાહ કહે છે કે, તારી નજર આગળથી તારી ગુલામગીરી ફેરવી નાખીને, હું આખી પૃથ્વીના લોકો મધ્યે તને નામ આપીશ અને પ્રશંસારૂપ કરીશ, એમ યહોવાહ કહે છે.
At that time I will bring you back, And at that time I will gather you; For I will make you a name and a praise among all the nations of the earth, When I bring back your captives before your eyes, saith Jehovah.
