ઝખાર્યા 2
I lifted up my eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2 ૨ મેં કહ્યું, “તું ક્યાં જાય છે?” ત્યારે તેણે મને કહ્યું, “યરુશાલેમની પહોળાઈ અને લંબાઈ કેટલી છે તે માપવા જાઉં છું.”
Then said I, Where go you? And he said to me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
4 ૪ બીજા દૂતે તેને કહ્યું, “દોડ અને પેલા જુવાનને કહે કે, ‘યરુશાલેમમાં પુષ્કળ માણસો અને જાનવરો હોવાથી તે કોટ વગરના નગરની જેમ તેઓ તેમાં રહેશે.
And said to him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
5 ૫ કેમ કે, યહોવાહ કહે છે કે, ‘હું પોતે તેની આસપાસ અગ્નિના કોટરૂપ થઈશ, અને હું તેનામાં મહિમાવાન થઈશ.’”
For I, says the LORD, will be to her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the middle of her.
6 ૬ યહોવાહ કહે છે; અરે, ઉત્તરના દેશમાંથી નાસી જાઓ ‘વળી, યહોવાહ કહે છે કે મેં તમને આકાશના ચાર વાયુની જેમ વિખેરી દીધા છે.
Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, says the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, said the LORD.
Deliver yourself, O Zion, that dwell with the daughter of Babylon.
8 ૮ કેમ કે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે કે, જે પ્રજાઓએ તમને લૂંટ્યા છે તેમની વિરુદ્ધ સન્માન મેળવવા માટે તેમણે મને મોકલ્યો છે, કેમ કે, જે તમને અડકે છે તે ઈશ્વરની આંખની કીકીને અડકે છે.
For thus says the LORD of hosts; After the glory has he sent me to the nations which spoiled you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.
9 ૯ “યહોવાહ કહે છે કે, હું મારો હાથ તેઓ પર હલાવીશ, અને તેઓ તેમના ગુલામોને હાથે લૂંટાશે.” ત્યારે તમે જાણશો કે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે મને મોકલ્યો છે.
For, behold, I will shake my hand on them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.
10 ૧૦ “સિયોનની દીકરી, ગાયન તથા આનંદ કર, કેમ કે, યહોવાહ કહે છે કે, હું આવું છું, હું તારી સાથે રહીશ.”
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, see, I come, and I will dwell in the middle of you, says the LORD.
11 ૧૧ તે દિવસે ઘણી પ્રજાઓ યહોવાહની સાથે જોડાશે. તે કહે છે, “તમે મારા લોક થશો; અને હું તમારી વચ્ચે રહીશ.” ત્યારે તમે જાણશો કે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે મને તમારી પાસે મોકલ્યો છે.
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the middle of you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.
12 ૧૨ કેમ કે યહોવાહ યહૂદિયાને પોતાના હકના કબજાની જેમ પવિત્ર ભૂમિમાં વારસા તરીકે ગણી લેશે. તે પોતાના માટે ફરીથી યરુશાલેમને પસંદ કરશે.
And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
