રોમનોને પત્ર 12
1 ૧ તેથી, ભાઈઓ, હું તમને વિનંતી કરું છું કે, ઈશ્વરની દયા પ્રાપ્ત કરવા તમે તમારાં શરીરોનું જીવતું, પવિત્ર તથા ઈશ્વરને પસંદ પડે તેવું, અર્પણ કરો; તે તમારી બુદ્ધિપૂર્વકની સેવા છે.
I exhort you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, your reasonable service:
2 ૨ આ જગતનું રૂપ તમે ન ધરો; પણ તમારાં મનથી નવીનતાને યોગે તમે પૂર્ણ રીતે પરિવર્તન પામો, જેથી ઈશ્વરની સારી, માન્ય તથા સંપૂર્ણ ઇચ્છા શી છે, તે તમે જાણી શકો. (aiōn g165)
and he not fashioned after this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)
3 ૩ વળી મને આપેલા કૃપાદાનને આશરે હું તમારામાંના દરેક જણને કહું છું કે, પોતાને જેવો ગણવો જોઈએ, તે કરતાં વિશેષ ન ગણવો; પણ જે પ્રમાણે ઈશ્વરે દરેકને વિશ્વાસનું માપ વહેંચી આપ્યું છે, તેના પ્રમાણમાં દરેકે પોતાને યોગ્ય ગણવો.
For I speak, through the grace which has been given unto me, for every one who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, as God has imparted to each one the measure of faith.
For we indeed have many members in one body, but all the members have not the same office:
so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and members one of another.
6 ૬ આપણને જે કૃપા આપવામાં આવી છે, તે પ્રમાણે આપણને જુદાં જુદાં કૃપાદાન મળ્યાં છે; તેથી જો બોધ કરવાનું કૃપાદાન મળ્યું હોય, તો પોતાના વિશ્વાસના પ્રમાણમાં તેણે બોધ કરવો;
But having gifts differing according to the grace given unto us, whether prophecy, it is according to the analogy of faith;
or ministry, it is in the ministry; or he that teacheth, in teaching;
8 ૮ જે સુબોધ કરનાર, તેણે સુબોધ કરવામાં વ્યસ્ત રહેવું; જે દાન આપે છે, તેણે ઉદારતાથી આપવું; જે અધિકારી છે, તેણે ખંતથી અધિકાર ચલાવવો; અને જે દયા રાખે છે તેણે હર્ખથી દયા રાખવી.
or he that exhorteth, in exhortation; or he that giveth, with a single eye; he that presideth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be free from hypocrisy. Abhorring the evil, cleaving to the good:
10 ૧૦ ભાઈઓ પ્રત્યે જેવો પ્રેમ ઘટે તેવો ગાઢ પ્રેમ એકબીજા પર રાખો; માન આપવામાં પોતાના કરતાં બીજાને અધિક ગણો.
kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;
not slothful in business; boiling over in spirit; serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing steadfastly in prayer;
communicating to necessities of the saints; pursuing hospitality.
Bless them that persecute you; bless, and scold not.
Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.
16 ૧૬ અરસપરસ એક મનના થાઓ; તમારું મન મોટી બાબતો પર ન લગાડો, પણ નમ્ર ભાવે દીનોની કાળજી રાખો. તમે પોતાને બુદ્ધિમાન ન સમજો.
Have the same mind toward one another, not thinking high things, but condescending to the humble. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Returning to no one evil for evil; providing things beautiful in the sight of all men.
If possible, so far as it is within your power, living in peace with all men;
19 ૧૯ ઓ વહાલાઓ, તમે સામું વૈર ન વાળો, પણ ઈશ્વરના કોપને માટે માર્ગ મૂકો; કેમ કે લખેલું છે કે, પ્રભુ કહે છે કે, ‘વૈર વાળવું એ મારું કામ છે; હું બદલો લઈશ.’”
avenging not yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it has been written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.
20 ૨૦ પણ જો તારો વૈરી ભૂખ્યો હોય તો તેને ખવડાવ; જો તરસ્યો હોય તો તેને પાણી પા; કેમ કે એવું કરવાથી તું તેના માથા પર ધગધગતા અંગારાના ઢગલા કરીશ.
But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink: for doing this you will heap coals of fire upon his head.
Be not overcome by the evil, but overcome the evil with the good.
