ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 97

1 ૧ યહોવાહ રાજ કરે છે; પૃથ્વી હરખાઓ; ટાપુઓનો સમૂહ આનંદ પામો.

The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad.

2 ૨ વાદળો અને અંધકાર તેમની આસપાસ છે. ન્યાયીપણું તથા ન્યાય તેમના રાજ્યાસનનો પાયો છે.

Clouds and darkness surround him: righteousness and judgment [are] the habitation of his throne.

3 ૩ અગ્નિ તેમની આગળ ચાલે છે અને તે તેમની આસપાસના તેમના શત્રુઓને ભસ્મ કરે છે.

A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

4 ૪ તેમની વીજળીઓએ જગતને પ્રકાશિત કર્યું છે; તે જોઈને પૃથ્વી કાંપી.

His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

5 ૫ યહોવાહની સમક્ષ, આખી પૃથ્વીના પ્રભુની સમક્ષ, પર્વતો મીણની જેમ પીગળી ગયા.

The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the LORD of the whole earth.

6 ૬ આકાશો તેમનું ન્યાયીપણું પ્રગટ કરે છે અને સર્વ લોકોએ તેમનો મહિમા જોયો છે.

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

7 ૭ મૂર્તિઓની પૂજા કરનારાઓ, મૂર્તિઓમાં અભિમાન કરનારાઓ, ઓ બધી દેવતાઓ! તેમની આગળ પ્રણામ કરો.

Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols; worship him, all [ye] gods.

8 ૮ હે યહોવાહ, તમારાં ન્યાયનાં કાર્યો વિષે સાંભળીને સિયોન આનંદ પામ્યું અને યહૂદિયાની દીકરીઓ હરખાઈ.

Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

9 ૯ કેમ કે, હે યહોવાહ, તમે સમગ્ર પૃથ્વી પર પરાત્પર છો. તમે સર્વ દેવો કરતાં શ્રેષ્ઠ છો.

For thou, LORD, [art] high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

10 ૧૦ હે યહોવાહ પર પ્રેમ કરનારાઓ, તમે દુષ્ટતાને ધિક્કારો! તે પોતાના ભક્તોના આત્માઓનું રક્ષણ કરે છે અને તે તેઓને દુષ્ટોના હાથમાંથી છોડાવે છે.

Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11 ૧૧ ન્યાયીઓને અજવાળાથી અને જેઓનાં હૃદય શુદ્ધ છે તેઓને સુખથી ભરપૂર કરવામાં આવે છે.

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

12 ૧૨ હે ન્યાયીઓ, તમે યહોવાહમાં આનંદ કરો; અને તેમના પવિત્ર નામની સ્તુતિ કરો.

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
