ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 87

1 ૧ કોરાના દીકરાઓનું ગીત; ગાયન. નગરનો પાયો પવિત્ર પર્વત પર સ્થાપેલો છે.

For the Sons of Korah. A Melody, a Song. His foundation, is in the holy mountains:

2 ૨ યાકૂબના સર્વ તંબુઓ કરતાં, સિયોનના દરવાજાઓ યહોવાહને વધુ પ્રિય છે.

Yahweh loveth the gates of Zion, More than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 ૩ હે ઈશ્વરના નગર, તારા વિષે ગૌરવની વાતો કહેવાય છે. (સેલાહ)

Glorious things, are to be spoken of thee, O city of God. (Selah)

4 ૪ હું મારા અનુયાયીઓમાં રાહાબ તથા બાબિલનો ઉલ્લેખ કરું છું. જુઓ, ત્યાં પલિસ્તી અને તૂર, કૂશ સાથે છે. આનો જન્મ ત્યાં થયો હતો.

I will mention Rahab and Babylon, to them who know me—Lo! Philistia and Tyre with Ethiopia, This one was born there.

5 ૫ વળી સિયોન વિષે કહેવાશે કે, “દરેકનો સિયોનમાં જન્મ થયો; અને પરાત્પર પોતે તેને સ્થિર રાખશે.”

But, of Zion, it shall be said—This man and that were born in her, And the Highest himself shall establish her.

6 ૬ યહોવાહ લોકોને નોંધશે ત્યારે તે ગણશે કે, “આનો જન્મ ત્યાં થયો.” (સેલાહ)

Yahweh, will record, when he enrolleth the peoples, This one was born there. (Selah)

7 ૭ વળી સર્વ ગાનારાઓ તથા નાચનારાઓ કહેશે, “મારા સર્વ ઝરાઓ તમારામાં છે.”

As well the singers as the flute-players [are saying], —All my springs, are in thee!
