ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 85

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. કોરાના દીકરાઓનું ગીત. હે યહોવાહ, તમારા દેશ પર તમે તમારી કૃપા દર્શાવી છે. અને તમે યાકૂબના બંદીઓને આ દેશમાં પાછા મોકલી આપ્યા છે.

Yahweh, you have been kind to [us people who live in] this land; you have enabled [us] Israeli people to become prosperous again.

2 ૨ તમારા લોકોનાં પાપો તમે માફ કર્યા છે; અને તમે તેઓનાં બધાં પાપોનું પ્રાયશ્ચિત કર્યુ છે.

You forgave [us], your people, for the sins that we had committed; you pardoned [us] for all our sins [DOU].

3 ૩ તેથી હવે તમારા કોપનો; ભસ્મ કરનારા ક્રોધનો અંત આવ્યો છે.

You stopped being angry [with us] and turned away from severely punishing [us].

4 ૪ હે મારા ઈશ્વર, અમારા ઉદ્ધારનાર, તમારા પર પ્રેમ કરવામાં તમે અમને સંસ્થાપિત કરો. જેથી ફરી કદી તમારે અમારા ઉપર ક્રોધિત ન થવું પડે.

Now, God, the one who saves/rescues us, (restore us/make us prosperous again) and stop being angry with us!

5 ૫ શું તમે સદા અમારા પર કોપાયમાન રહેશો? શું તમારો કોપ પેઢી દર પેઢી લંબાવાશો?

(Will you continue to be angry with us forever?/Please do not continue to be angry with us forever.) [DOU, RHQ]

6 ૬ શું તમે અમને ફરી પુનર્જીવિત નહિ કરો? ત્યારે તમારા લોકો તમારામાં આનંદ કરશે.

Please enable us [RHQ] to prosper again in order that [we], your people, will rejoice about what you [have done for us].

7 ૭ તમારો પ્રેમ અને દયા, અમારા ઉપર રેડી દો. અને યહોવાહ અમારો ઉદ્ધાર કરો.

Yahweh, by rescuing us [from our troubles/difficulties], show us that you faithfully love us.

8 ૮ યહોવાહ ઈશ્વર જે કહે છે તે હું કાળજી પૂર્વક સાંભળું છું, કેમ કે તે પોતાના લોકોની સાથે તથા તેમના વફાદાર અનુયાયીઓની સાથે શાંતિથી વર્તે. પરંતુ તેઓ મૂર્ખાઈ તરફ પાછા ફરી ન જાય.

I want to listen to what Yahweh [our] God says, because he promises/says that he will enable [us], his people, to live peacefully, if we do not return to doing foolish things.

9 ૯ જેઓ તેમનો ભય રાખે છે તેઓનો ઈશ્વર ઉદ્ધાર કરે છે; બહુ જલદી અમારી ભૂમિ પર અમે માનપૂર્વક રહીશું.

He is surely ready to save/rescue those who revere him, in order that [his] glory/splendor will be seen in our land.

10 ૧૦ કૃપા અને સત્યતા એકબીજાની સાથે મળેલી છે; ન્યાયીપણાએ તથા શાંતિએ એકબીજાને ચુંબન કર્યુ છે.

[When that happens], he will both faithfully love us and faithfully [do for us what he promised to do] [PRS]; and we will act/behave righteously, and he will give us peace, which will be like a kiss that he gives us.

11 ૧૧ પૃથ્વીમાંથી સત્ય ઉપર ઊંચે જાય છે. અને ન્યાયીપણું આકાશમાંથી વરસશે.

Here on earth, we will (be loyal to/continually believe in) God, and from heaven, God will act justly/fairly [toward us].

12 ૧૨ હા, યહોવાહ સારા આશીર્વાદ આપશે; અને આપણો દેશ મબલખ પાક ઉપજાવશે.

Yes, Yahweh will do good things [for us], and there will be great harvests in our land.

13 ૧૩ તેમનું ન્યાયીપણું આગળ ચાલશે, અને તેમનાં પગલાં આપણે માટે માર્ગ તૈયાર કરે છે.

[Yahweh always acts] righteously [PRS, MET]; he acts righteously wherever he goes.
