ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 80

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; રાગ શોશાન્નીમ-એદૂથ. આસાફનું ગીત. હે ઇઝરાયલનાં પાળક, અમારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળો; જેમણે યૂસફના લોકોને ઘેટાંની જેમ દોર્યા હતા; કરુબો પર બિરાજમાન અમારા પર પ્રકાશ પાડો!

Unto the end, for them that shall he changed, a testimony for Asaph, a psalm. Give ear, O thou that rulest Israel: thou that leadest Joseph like a sheep. Thou that sittest upon the cherubims, shine forth

2 ૨ એફ્રાઇમ, બિન્યામીન તથા મનાશ્શાની આગળ, તમારું સામર્થ્ય પ્રગટ કરો; આવીને અમને બચાવો.

Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasses. Stir up thy might, and come to save us.

3 ૩ હે ઈશ્વર, અમને પાછા ફેરવો; તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ અમારા પર પાડો એટલે અમારો બચાવ થાય.

Convert us, O God: and shew us thy face, and we shall be saved.

4 ૪ હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહ, તમારા લોકો તમારી પ્રાર્થના કરે છે, છતાં તમારો કોપ ક્યાં સુધી સળગતો રહેશે.

O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy servant?

5 ૫ તમે તમારા લોકોને આંસુવાળી રોટલી ખવડાવી છે અને તેઓને પુષ્કળ આંસુઓ પાયાં છે.

How long wilt thou feed us with the bread of tears: and give us for our drink tears in measure?

6 ૬ તમે અમને અમારા પડોશીઓને લડવા માટે યુદ્ધના નિશાન બનાવ્યાં છે; અને અમારા શત્રુઓ અંદરોઅંદર અમારી હાંસી કરે છે.

Thou hast made us to be a contradiction to our neighbours: and our enemies have scoffed at us.

7 ૭ હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર, અમને પાછા ફેરવો; તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ અમારા પર પાડો, જેથી અમારો બચાવ થાય.

O God of hosts, convert us: and shew thy face, and we shall be saved.

8 ૮ તમે મિસરમાંથી દ્રાક્ષાવેલો લાવ્યા; તમે વિદેશીઓને હાંકી કાઢીને તેને રોપ્યો.

Thou hast brought a vineyard out of Egypt: thou hast cast cut the Gentiles and planted it.

9 ૯ તમે તેને માટે જગ્યા સાફ કરી; તેમાં મૂળ નાંખ્યા અને તેનાથી દેશ ભરપૂર થયો.

Thou wast the guide of its journey in its sight: thou plantedst the roots thereof, and it filled the land.

10 ૧૦ તેની છાયાથી પર્વતો ઢંકાઈ ગયા, તેની વિશાળ લાંબી ડાળીઓ ઈશ્વરના દેવદારો જેવી હતી.

The shadow of it covered the hills: and the branches thereof the cedars of God.

11 ૧૧ તેણે પોતાની ડાળીઓ સમુદ્ર સુધી પ્રસારી અને તેની ડાળખીઓ ફ્રાત નદી સુધી પ્રસારી.

It stretched forth its branches unto the sea, and its boughs unto the river.

12 ૧૨ તમે તેનો દિવાલ એવી રીતે કેમ તોડી છે કે જેથી રસ્તે જતાં મુસાફરો તેની દ્રાક્ષો ચૂંટી લે છે?

Why hast thou broken down the hedge thereof, so that all they who pass by the way do pluck it?

13 ૧૩ જંગલમાંથી ડુક્કરો આવીને તેને બગાડે છે અને રાની પશુઓ તેને ખાઈ જાય છે.

The boar out of the wood hath laid it waste: and a singular wild beast hath devoured it.

14 ૧૪ હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર, તમે પાછા આવો, આકાશમાંથી નીચે દ્રષ્ટિ કરો અને ધ્યાનમાં લો તથા આ દ્રાક્ષાવેલાની રક્ષા કરો.

Turn again, O God of hosts, look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vineyard:

15 ૧૫ તમે તમારા જમણા હાથે જેને રોપી છે, જે ડાળીને તમે તમારે માટે બળવાન કરી છે, તેનું રક્ષણ કરો.

And perfect the same which thy right hand hath planted: and upon the son of man whom thou hast confirmed for thyself.

16 ૧૬ તેને કાપીને બાળવામાં આવી; તમારા ઠપકાથી તમારા શત્રુઓ નાશ પામે છે.

Things set on fire and dug down shall perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17 ૧૭ તમારા જમણા હાથના માણસ પર, એટલે જે માણસના દીકરાને તમે પોતાને માટે બળવાન કરેલો છે તેના પર તમારો હાથ રાખો.

Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand: and upon the son of man whom thou hast confirmed for thyself.

18 ૧૮ એટલે અમે તમારાથી વિમુખ થઈશું નહિ; અમને પુનર્જીવન આપો અને અમે તમારા નામમાં પ્રાર્થના કરીશું.

And we depart not from thee, thou shalt quicken us: and we will call upon thy name.

19 ૧૯ હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહ, અમને પાછા ફેરવો; તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ અમારા પર પાડો, જેથી અમારો બચાવ થાય.
