ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 77

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; યદૂથૂનની રીત પ્રમાણે રચેલું. આસાફનું ગીત. હું ઈશ્વરની આગળ મારી વાણી પોકારીશ; હું મારી વાણીથી ઈશ્વરને પોકારીશ અને ઈશ્વર મારું સાંભળશે.

For Jeduthun, the music director. A psalm of Asaph. I cry out to God for help—I even shout. If only he would listen to me!

2 ૨ મારા સંકટના દિવસે મેં પ્રભુને પોકાર્યા. મેં તેમની તરફ મારા હાથ ઊંચા રાખીને આખી રાત પ્રાર્થના કરી; મારા આત્માએ દિલાસો સ્વીકારવાની ના પાડી.

When I was in trouble I prayed to the Lord. All night long I stretched out my hands to him in prayer but nothing brought me any comfort.

3 ૩ હું ઈશ્વરનું સ્મરણ કરીને વ્યાકુળ થાઉં છું; હું તેમના વિષે વિચારું છું, તો હું મૂર્છિત થઈ જાઉં છું. (સેલાહ)

I thought about God, groaning loudly; I meditated on him, but I was discouraged. (Selah)

4 ૪ તમે મને મારી આંખો બંધ કરવા દેતા નથી; હું મુશ્કેલીમાં બોલી શકતો નહોતો.

You stop me going to sleep; I'm so upset I can't even talk.

5 ૫ હું અગાઉના દિવસોનો, પૂર્વના ભૂતકાળનો વિચાર કરું છું.

I think of the old days, years ago.

6 ૬ રાતના સમયે મારું ગાયેલું ગીત મને યાદ આવે છે. હું ઘણી ગંભીરતાથી વિચારું છું.

I remember the songs I sung in the night. I meditate and ask myself:

7 ૭ શું પ્રભુ મને સર્વકાળને માટે તજી દેશે? શું તે ફરી પ્રસન્ન થશે નહિ?

Has the Lord given up on me forever? Won't he ever be pleased with me again?

8 ૮ શું તેમની કૃપા સદાને માટે જતી રહી છે? શું તેમનું વચન સદાકાળ રદ જશે?

Has his trustworthy love disappeared forever? Have his promises permanently ended?

9 ૯ અમારા પર કૃપા કરવાનું ઈશ્વર શું ભૂલી ગયા છે? શું તેમણે તેમની સહાનુભૂતિને કોપમાં બદલી નાખી છે? (સેલાહ)

Has God forgotten to be kind? Has he angrily slammed the door shut on his compassion? (Selah)

10 ૧૦ મેં કહ્યું, “આ તો મારું દુઃખ છે: પરાત્પરના જમણા હાથનાં વર્ષો હું સંભારીશ.”

Then I said, “This is what hurts me the most: the Most High doesn't treat me the way he used to.”

11 ૧૧ પણ હું યહોવાહનાં કૃત્યોનું સ્મરણ કરીશ; તમારા પુરાતન કાળના ચમત્કાર વિષે હું વિચાર કરીશ.

I remember what you have done, Lord; I remember all the wonderful things you did long ago.

12 ૧૨ હું તમારાં સર્વ કામોનું મનન કરીશ અને તમારાં કૃત્યો વિષે વિચાર કરીશ.

I will think about all you have accomplished; I will think deeply about how you have acted.

13 ૧૩ હે ઈશ્વર, તમારા માર્ગો પવિત્ર છે, આપણા મહાન ઈશ્વર જેવા બીજા ઈશ્વર કોણ છે?

God, your ways are holy; is any god as great as you?

14 ૧૪ તમે ચમત્કાર કરનાર ઈશ્વર છો; તમે લોકોમાં તમારું સામર્થ્ય પ્રગટ કર્યું છે.

You are the God who does wonderful things! You have revealed your power to the nations.

15 ૧૫ તમે તમારા મહાન પરાક્રમ વડે લોકોને, એટલે યાકૂબના તથા યૂસફના વંશજોને વિજય અપાવ્યો છે.

Through your strength you saved your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)

16 ૧૬ હે ઈશ્વર, સાગરો તમને જોયા; સાગરો તમને જોઈને ગભરાયાં; ઊંડાણો પણ ધ્રૂજ્યાં.

When the waters saw you, God, when they looked they trembled! Yes, they shook down to the very depths!

17 ૧૭ વાદળોએ પાણી વરસાવ્યાં; આકાશે ગર્જના કરી; તમારાં બાણો ચારેબાજુ ઊડ્યાં.

The clouds poured rain down; the skies crashed with thunder; your lightning flew like arrows.

18 ૧૮ તમારી ગર્જનાનો અવાજ વંટોળિયામાં હતો; વીજળીઓએ જગતને પ્રકાશિત કર્યું; પૃથ્વી કાંપી તથા હચમચી.

Your thunder rumbled from the whirlwind; lightning flashes lit up the world; the earth quaked and shook.

19 ૧૯ તમારો માર્ગ તો સમુદ્રમાં અને તમારી વાટો મહાજળમાં હતી, પણ તમારાં પગલાં કોઈના જોવામાં આવ્યાં નહિ.

Your way led through the sea; your path passed through the deep sea; yet your footprints were invisible.

20 ૨૦ તમે મૂસા તથા હારુનની મારફતે તમારા લોકોને ઘેટાંનાં ટોળાંની જેમ દોર્યા.

You led your people like a flock, shepherded by Moses and Aaron.
